Jackie is a lovely lady who was good fun and has a good sense of humour. She was very welcoming and took us out for a meal on the day of our arrival and also baked us a delicious coffee cake for us to have during our stay. The house and garden are beautiful and in a very small, quiet, pretty, country village. The cats Freddi and Rosie are no problem at all although they took a couple of days to get used to us, Rosie being the more timid of the two. We had a lovely peaceful stay there and are looking forward to returning for a second sit in August. Highly recommended sit and we would would happily return whenever we could.
I have fallen so in love with Sheldon in such a short period of time. There is something exceptional about this terrier in his communication and snuggles. He is a very easy and lovely dog to care for. More than that, Christy was a wonderful and available communicator before and during the sit. Her home is beautiful and comfortable and in short walking distance to the little town of Albany. Sheldon was up for our many walks except when it rains (he’s definitely avoiding that!) I had a wonderful time visiting that area of California and getting to know Shelton. I hope to sit for Kristi and Sheldon again
Carol and Alicia have a beautiful peaceful home and a fantastic pool. They were both so easy going and welcoming. They left very detailed instructions about the house, emergency contacts, and most importantly how to care for their cats. Carol and Alicia love their cats very much, and you cannot help but to fall in love with them too. It was such a pleasure to house sit with Thor a real gentleman (who was like the father instead of the brother of all the cats), Loki (warmed up to me quick and meows when she wants you to know something- it’s so adorable), Bandit took several days to warm up to me and mostly slept during the day, and then there was Stormy the kitten. Stormy will steal your heart. She will come to you for her daily rubs, and just melt into your arms. All the cats were easy to care for, and so loveable. I would house sit for them in a heartbeat. Such a joy!
Dory was a joy to take care of. She's a wonderful dog who is full of love and life. We adore her.
Anita's house is clean and tidy and very spacious! She was very considerate about our request to air the room before we arrived due to COVID concerns as Adelina has Long COVID and has immune system challenges. Barney and Maddie are very sweet and extremely keen on cuddles. The dogs require sleeping in the same bed as you, but they don't snore. If you don't like dogs sleeping in your bed, house sitting here might not be right for you as this is a core need for the cute dogs Anita has.
I had a fun time watching Nugget! Once he gets used to you, he’s very friendly and playful! We went on lots of long walks and jogs in the city together and he was a great companion to explore with! We went up to 8 miles in a single run and it didn’t seem like it fazed him! He did end up having some anxiety issues that led him to have some GI issues but Madison knew exactly how to deal with it, and it ended up clearing up by the time I left! Madison was awesome! It was super easy to get answers for any questions I had. Madison’s place was clean and tidy! It was also nice that there was a backyard for Nugget. The location was amazing! Definitely tons of stuff to do within walking distance, and public transit was easy to figure out if I wanted to go farther and for transportation to and from the airport. I didn’t have a car with me, and it was definitely better that way.
