I just realised I didn’t leave feedback for this wonderful house sit! If you get the chance to take care of David’s and Heather’s home, my advice is to take it. I found staying there magical - the hills, the sea, the birds, the fish :-) … the coffee machine and milk frother(s)! All this coupled with a cosy place to stay and the kind, welcoming people that David and Heather are, it’s an awesome place to spend some time.
What a wonderful "sit". The house is very modern, beautifully crafted, quiet - and yet just a 5 minute walk from the very centre of Truro. And what a hidden gem Truro is - compact, full of charm, great shops and giving easy access to both the north and south coasts of Cornwall. Perranporth and its nearby beaches must be one of Cornwall's most special destinations. Carol and her family were very welcoming to me and communication channels were always clear. Finally we come to Maggie - what a lovely dog! Always excited to go walking, very easy with other dogs and how she loved her sofa cuddles at the end of the day!
My first house sit went like a dream. I was a little anxious about the responsibility of two dogs, two cats and a large country house but my week stay at the Oast House couldn’t have gone more smoothly. An initial video call with Lucinda certainly set my mind at rest. Her warmth and kindness reverberated across her home and extended to all the pets; graceful and faithful Maple a Labrador retriever, cuddly Snoopy a Labradoodle, and Duma and Chui, both easy and friendly cats. I was surrounded by fun and affection. I genuinely miss them and would be happy to return. And to top it all the house is gorgeous in an idyllic setting with beautiful far reaching views and lovely walks from the house in surrounding fields. There are great beaches and peaceful woods to walk the dogs within easy reach. I couldn’t recommend the experience more highly.

It was a pleasure watching Shanelle and Jordan’s two cats Leo and Milo. Their condo is in an excellent downtown location near Stanley Park, and walking distance to English Bay, trendy stores, restaurants, transit, and grocery shopping. The condo is clean and safe, and includes everything you would need for a great stay in downtown Vancouver. Shanelle was in regular contact with us and their adorable cats were a breeze to take care of. We would not hesitate to stay there again!
