I loved spending time with Zeno and Parmenides! Alison and Lyn were such a gracious hosts. They were understanding when I was delayed due to train strikes and were so kind to let me stay a couple days upon their return before my flight. The kitties are such a delight with their curious, snuggly, and playful personalities. The location was safe and convenient with a bus stop just a short walk away for a 20 min ride into the city. I can highly recommend this stay and would return if I ever find myself in Scotland again!
There was clear communication with Jill and Faramarz. All 4 pups (2 more on the active side and 2 more on the rest side) were kind and respectful. The house was spacious and clean. The surroundings are tranquil and beautiful. Such a peaceful place to unwind. Pawl, Claire, Cindy, Zeus, Faramarz and Jill are all sweet and loving. I’d certainly go back to housesit again!
Sarah and Minnie are both wonderful! Sarah’s cottage is beautiful, cosy and comfortable, with everything we could possibly need. The walks in the area are beautiful and you can tack on a trip to the pub in the next village or get to lots of alternative walks across the area with a short drive. Sarah prepared a lovey dinner and dessert the night before she left and made sure we knew the usual walking route for Minnie as well as information about the house, emergency contacts etc. She was also very easy to stay in touch with while she was away. Minnie is lucky enough to spend most of her time off lead once you’re in the fields nearby. She might roam off out of sight for a short while as she loves to explore her patch. But she knows the way and will soon catch you up and trot nearby. She’ll happily walk as long as you can keep going which we really enjoyed at the weekends. Finally, the village community is really lovely! Full of friendly dog walkers. Minnie has many many friends, human and canine, and we enjoyed bumping into familiar faces every day.
Lovely few days spent in the leafy suburbs of Surrey looking after two gentle hounds Stacey and Beau. They say that communication is key and Tracey has it off to a fine art! Great pre sit instructions and handover which set the scene for a stress free sit. Tracey’s home is spacious and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable sit. We had the added bonus of great weather too. The dogs are at the heart of the home and were an absolute joy to care for…both gentle and well behaved. Their routines are well laid out in Tracey’s instructions and we found that following these underpinned a calm and enjoyable time for all. We all enjoyed the walks…Stacey will tell you when she has had enough and Beau, although he can be distracted by other dogs, was generally very well behaved. A credit to Tracey’s training regime. A great sit and Tracey is a wonderful host. Highly recommended.
I looked after Juno for a couple of days and she is great. On the first day, she was a little nervous, but she got used to me and everything went well. She is very independent and she doesn’t like to be petted too much; she likes it, but when she wants; she has a kind of cat personality for this. Juno is 13 years old, but she still has energy for her walks and she loves it so much. She gets so excited for her walk and for treats after that. The communication with Maeve and Ronan was great. They explained everything to me about Juno and her routine, the house and the neighbourhood. Overall, I would highly recommend this house sit and would love to spend some more time with Juno! Thank you Maeve and Ronan!
The sitting with Hattie and Andrew and their wonderful Otis has been extremely positive. Hattie has been very kind from the very first moment and when we met she explained in detail how to properly take care of their amazing cat. Otis is super cute, tender and easy to take care of; he has been a loving and playful company, and I extremely enjoyed spending time with him! In addition, the home is spacious, cozy and charming, with a nice garden. Overall it has been a great experience, that I would highly recommend!
