I had such a lovely week with Cooper and Brody. They are easy to care for and fun company. The house is beautiful and spacious, nice kitchen and great backyard with a pool. Caitlin was easy and so friendly to communicate with, and she made it easy for me to feel comfortable in the home. The area is super cute. Nice hiking trails, beach, and cute town. Definitely recommend 😊
I had a wonderful time down on the farm with Lynn's critters. The chickens, ducks and rabbits were easy to care for and the dogs, Lily and Molly, were so sweet and so much fun I hated to say goodbye to them. I was there at harvest time so I had the most wonderful veggies to cook with, not to mention all of the fresh eggs I could eat. The house is beautiful and comfortable and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. Lynn and Stuart were easy to talk to with good communication throughout the process. It was a lovely, quiet, soul feeding place for me to slow down and unwind after a busy summer. I would love to sit for them again in the future if possible.
We had a lovely time with Louise and Don’s pets. Margaux is an absolute delight! So easy, obedient, easily walked off the lead throughout the forest right behind the house. She’s a real GPS and you can’t get lost with her by your side! It’s hard not to fall in love with her. Sophie & Bertie are outdoor cats and keep to themselves but it’s lovely to watch them go about their day. Lulu and Don are such hospitable people. They made sure to show us the area well prior to leaving and are very communicative with their instructions. We were even introduced to the village épicerie and mayor! :) The house is extremely comfortable, clean and with breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards. We’re looking forward to sitting again and would highly recommend this housesit for anyone wanting a slice of the French wine region with adorable pets to keep them company.
First off, Pudge is the most wonderful, loving pup to look after. He's not much of a walker, just getting out to go a couple of blocks and do his business, but he is a joy to be around. Alissa was great with very detailed instructions, and great communication before and during the sit. The house was very comfortable with a screened in lanai where we enjoyed coffee and breakfast each morning. We loved the location of the house as it was close to all amenities, and not a far from the beach. I'd happily jump at the opportunity to be back with Pudge as it was hard to leave him.
My week with Lola in LaSalle was lovely. She is such a good girl and easy to care for. She let me sleep in (I had just returned from out west, so I was adjusting back to Eastern time) and maybe barked twice the entire time I was there. Walking her was enjoyable - she'd dictate the path but doesn't pull so it was a relaxing walk. At night, she'd cuddle up beside me on the couch and gave kisses if I wanted them. Instructions for her care were clear and easy to follow. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Debbie had all the necessities needed for my stay. It's on ground level, so taking Lola out to pee was convenient. She's located in a very safe neighbourhood and within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants (both take out and sit down). Beautiful Ojibway Park and Tallgrass Prairie Hertitage Park are a short drive if you're looking to be out in nature and maybe see some deer. If another opportunity came up to care for Lola when I'm free, I'd definitely take it!
