Leigh and Charles are kind and welcoming. Their home is spectacular and had everything you could need for a vacation. The guest room bed is extremely comfy and the oversized shower was a treat! The pool was great for an early morning dip or a late night relaxation session in the hot tub. Lady is one of the sweetest little girls you will ever meet. She is very personable and loves meeting new people. She enjoys cuddled at night and several walks a day through the neighborhood. She is older but still has a pep in her step. The neighborhood is extremely safe and the neighbors that I met were very sweet.
Therese and Grant have a beautiful home in a lovely quiet, but welcoming neighbourhood. You can walk to Camden in 40 mins or easily get the bus and be there in 10 minutes. Camden has everything you need, gym, coffee, shops. The train to the city and airport is also only a bus ride away. Poppy was adorable and so easy to take care of. She was a dream to spend 10 days with. She knew her routine very well, loved being by our side and was full of character. Therese made sure we had all the information we needed on arrival which made our sit run very smoothly. She went above and beyond! Communication was fantastic and we had a great time.
Alma and Reg were delightful to sit for :) love a cuddle and just the right amount. Kate and Lauren’s house is beautifully located for various walks which I enjoyed and nice and peaceful. Very clean and well taken care of, they have everything one would need for a cosy stay in the countryside. Would happily sit for them again Sammy

My stay at Bloxham looking after Bosun and the house was extremely lovely and very peaceful! Bosun is a super easy-to-care dog, very happy to be fed, cuddled, and go out in the yard to play with the balls that we can throw for him. Walks need attention, as he doesn't like other dogs, but even they are super nice and make him very happy! The house is extremely interesting, as it is a 19th century building, and has a lot of history and art, as well as pleasant spaces to have a good tea and enjoy the day. Supermarkets are close, with a small one 5 minutes away on foot, or a larger one in Banbury just 15 minutes away by bus. Oxford is close by, and is totally worth a few visits. Marina and David were wonderful hosts, being very thorough with information about the house and Bosun, available for questions, and even helping me get to and from the city. I was very well received and treated well by them. I definitely recommend this spot for housesitting as I had such a wonderful time!

I randomly stumbled across Pets in Paradise when my high energy pit bull mix was not enjoying her other daycare as much. Pets in Paradise has been incredible! My dog is very selective in who she likes, and she absolutely adores the staff here. She gets to run around outside all day and the staff sends pictures and updates throughout the day to provide peace knowing she is enjoying herself.

My dog Sadie doesn't like many people and won't even go for a walk with good friends of mine who she knows well. However, she absolutely loves the staff at Pets in Paradise. In the morning, she waits at the door for their arrival and practically jumps into their arms when they come to pick her up. When she comes home in the afternoon, she is tired and happy. I have been unable to walk her, so Pets in Paradise has become a life saver for me and also for Sadie.
My dog loves this place. She comes back happy and tired. The taxi service is awesome. She jumps right in the van without saying good bye. All of the staff I have met have been so friendly. I highly recommend the doggy day care or boarding to anyone!

Janean is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and seems to be able to make them feel very comfortable. My 2 Chihuahuas have stayed with her 2 times over the last couple of months. 1 is very skittish and the other has tremendous separation anxiety. Both so very well there and I am so grateful!
We have used both the daycare and in-home visits at Hounds to Horses. Lucy and Jasper always get the best of care. Lucy thinks Bill is her "other Dad" and sometimes seems to prefer staying with him than coming home! That tells me that she's getting the love and attention she needs while we are away. I've experienced the great environment and personal care that they give all of their animals. The only concern you should have about boarding your animals at Hounds To Horses is that your pet may never want to go back home with you! I highly recommend Hounds To Horses!

This was the first time our puppy, Warlock, had ever been to boarding. He stayed from a Friday night until Sunday night while we enjoyed our weekend in San Diego. He is quite shy at first around people. The staff was very caring and attentive to him. Great communication by staff prior to and during Warlock's stay. Loved the report card and photos that were shared with us.
Chex had a great first day! We love the report card and how they separate dogs based not just on size but energy level too. Facility was clean and staff were great! Looking forward to bringing him again soon.
We wanted to get our 5 months old puppy ready to be board in the event that we need to leave her if we go on any short trip. When I went to their website I was very impressed. I filled out all the documentation that they needed and decided to go down there just to see what it looked like and felt like. Everyone was nice and made me feel comfortable about the whole situation. The free orientation day went very well. Since my husband works all kinds of hours if I am out of town it is nice to know that they are available 24/7. It is nice to have the flexibility of knowing that are beautiful baby will be taken care of very well when we need them. The place seemed very clean and everyone is very nice. That was our experience at the Escondido location. The prices seem to be very good so we would highly recommend this business for your dogs needs.
I cannot say enough great things about 24-hour dog daycare! My dog, Wednesday, absolutely *loves* it here. The moment we pull into the parking lot, she starts wagging her tail with excitement, ready to spend her day with the wonderful staff and other dogs. The team is so attentive, and I know Wednesday is always in great hands. What really stands out is the level of care and attention they give to each dog. Whether it's playtime, nap time, or just some one-on-one love, they truly treat every dog as if they were their own. I love that it's 24 hours, giving me peace of mind that Wednesday is cared for, even during late-night shifts or unexpected work hours. It's her absolute favorite place, and I couldn’t be happier with the service! Highly recommend to any dog parent looking for a trustworthy, caring, and fun environment for their pup. Five stars!
I rarely write reviews on here, but I wanted to give credit where it was due and compliment the excellent service we’ve received at 24HDD time and time again. For the past two months, our senior German Shepherd Remy has attended daycare here several times and boarded here for a weekend. He always has a great time hanging out with the staff and his doggy friends. The online portal is great and so easy to use. The staff is incredibly attentive and quick to respond whenever we have questions or need to book a last-minute appointment. Just tonight, they updated Remy’s vaccine records and emailed me to let me know almost immediately after I uploaded the file. Something as simple as a quick response makes all the difference. I have been very impressed with this Doggie Daycare. We have a VERY timid and fearful rescue and she’s doing very well there. And I LOVE that I can drop-off/pick-up our baby-dogs whenever we need to. That is such a relief. Highly recommended/
This place is awesome. We were in Escondido from out of town and our senior goldendoodle who suffers from severe arthritis stayed in a private boarding suite while we attended a wedding. They were so kind to her and took her out poty a couple times and also let her play a bit in the play room. They handled her gently and kindly. We hated to leave her at her age, but upon seeing the facility and talking with them, they put our minds at ease. When we picked her up, they provided us a "report card". It was very nice of them that they took that extra step. We highly recommend this facility.
My Sally pup had the BEST time here at 24 hour dog daycare. The staff was so sweet and caring and took their time to make sure she was acclimated before introducing her to the other pups. She made so many friends and had the time of her life playing. All the pictures they sent with her report card put a huge smile on my face while I was at work. We will definitely be coming back !

My Hans just spent his first 24 hours at this facility and we're so impressed. Everything was easy and smooth. Our pup isn't a social dog with other dogs and they had so many safeguards in place. It was a completely stress free drop off and pick up experience. I love that he came home tired, but totally happy and without that stressed out dog smell! Highly recommend and will definitely use them again.
Stephanie took great care of my kitties at a very stressful time after the death of my husband. She came during the Christmas holidays as well shortly before a move when the house was packed up ready for the movers. She was given very short notice for that time frame. Despite the stress, my cats were happy I was home but no more so than if I had just gone grocery shopping! Stephanie makes sure she knows where everything the pets need as well as bringing in newspapers etc. I highly recommend her as do my two boys! Mary Koske

The Barking BNB is fantastic! I hate leaving my pups, so keeping them with someone that is communicative and caring is at the top of my list. The love they get from here is excellent! One of my pups has special eye drops that needs to be given 3x a day, and she comfortably gives them to him without issue. I have gone to them twice now, and it's safe to say, I will look to the Barking BNB first when I need to head out of town.

Lora from Dogs on the Run was absolutely fabulous! We went on a family ski trip for a little over a week and Lora watched over our pup. We have a 2 year old lab and love her so much. Lora treated her like family and took such good care of her. Every day she sent me photos and updates which was a nice bonus. DOTR is an OUTSTANDING DOG-SITTING RESOURCE, & they have sitters throughout a broad section of the country. We used them while traveling for a family event in Berkeley, CA. The sitter, JANA was a sweetheart, was punctual, & professional, & even advised us when she reached our hotel. As I requested, she kept us updated on our puppy's status throughout the time she took care of her throughout the 2 days we were there, walking her, playing with her favorite fetch balls, etc, She sent us numerous adorable photos for my phone, & thorough updates, further making me feel confident that our puppy was in excellent hands. Dogs on the Run came very highly recommended and they have been a life saver when I needed a pet sitter for my 20 lb pug mix dog. Right from the start, their professionalism was evident. They were fast to respond and asked me a series of pertinent questions regarding my dog's requirements and temperament, so that they can find a pet sitter who was the best match. Based on our discussion, they connected me to Shae. Shae is the best pet sitter I have worked with. Shae was always punctual. My dog, Chewy, instantly bonded with her. Shae followed all my instructions perfectly. Chewy can be leash reactive and hence walking him can be challenging, But Shae was very patient and careful with him. At the end of each session, she would send a detailed report along with pictures, which I very much appreciated. She was a pleasure to work with and I will be requesting her services on a regular basis. After every pet sitting gig, 'Dogs on the run' always followed up with me to get my feedback and ensure my satisfaction. I highly recommend DOTR and Shae for your pet sitting needs.

Puppy Love Pet Care is the best pet sitting/dog boarding option in San Diego. I called Puppy Love Pet Care last minute for a week of dog sitting. Not only did they cater to Rio, but also they allowed me to extend his visit for another week in even shorter notice. The team is absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be using them again. Also - they don't crate dogs and allow non-neutered dogs - amazing!

Puppy Love is my go to dog sitter whenever I travel to visit San Diego in the spring/summer! I love this place. I enrolled my shy guy into the day training program. He is half way through his first sessions and I am seeing amazing progress. The staff and trainers are super responsive. My husband and I adopted our sweet boy Beaux in June of 2024. We quickly discovered he would get really overstimulated, really quickly. And while we were researching and training at home as much as we could, we were finding ourselves facing issue after issue or setback after setback. He was reactive to all dogs, and even though his reactivity was that of excitement, we knew that he didn’t have the tools necessary to come face to face with other untrained dogs like him (dogs that were submissive or had good training previously were okay for him to handle). We knew we needed help and were recommended Alcala by another pet parent at the dog park. We set up our orientation as soon as we could and we immediately fell in love with the place. The manager, Courtney, did our orientation and was SO knowledgeable about every single topic we had questions about. I was incredibly nervous to leave him there - as I was DREADING the (what felt like inevitable) phone call telling me Beaux was too much for them to handle. But, the call never came. In fact, when we picked him up the first day, and saw how happy he was, we knew immediately that we made the right decision choosing Alcala. He did one five-week class at two days a week and the improvements we saw from him were undeniable!! He walked on leashes better, his reactivity was better, his at home manners were better, and while we knew he had a long way to go, I felt so much more confident and SAFE taking him outside on my own. At the time, he was about 90lbs, today he’s a 101, and the fear I had about not being able to handle him is largely gone and I credit it 100% to Alcala. Our trainer, Cydney, was with us every step of the way. We would ask question after question, provide story after story for context, and she would always have exercises that would potentially (and usually did) help immensely. For the rare occasion that something we learned and tried wasn’t helping as well as we would’ve hoped, she would quickly pivot, demonstrate, and give us new exercises to try. We saw so much improvement in his first five-week package that we signed up for another - simply hoping for more of the same, because his progress was unbelievable. We were pleasantly surprised to see more progress yet again. Not only did we maintain the level of training he had learned but he expanded on it even more! Beaux is calmer, SO much less reactive, and is so much more well behaved at home (which is shocking because he never really gave us a hard time in the first place). He finished out his package this week, and while we’re going to take the rest of the year to be home and spend the holidays with family, my husband and I are already making plans as to when we can bring him back. The joy Alcala has brought Beaux is palpable. The ease of mind and confidence it has brought me is undeniable. My husband feels more confident handling training situations in public, a task I am still trying to master. I could not recommend Alcala enough. Courtney, Cydney, and the rest of the amazing staff have been nothing but a pleasure to work with. We cannot wait to be back!
Best daycare and boarding in town! They keep you updated on your dog and even gave our pup some pumpkin due to a stomach issue. They treat our dog as their own pet and we love them! Our dog June is always happy to go for the day or stay overnight at Alcala!

We trust Alcala and our dog loves it! Our 2 year old lab goes to Alcala for day care, and we board her there when we are out of town. She just stayed for 2 weeks, and previously had been boarded multiple times for up to a week. When we picked her up after 15 days, she was happy and it was like no time had passed! As a dog parent it is hard to find a place that you trust, and we have tried dog sitters in our home but have found that boarding is the best option for us. It's important to enjoy while we are away without worrying, and know our dog is safe and cared for by professionals. That is Alcala for us and we appreciate all the staff!
My very, very, difficult dog started muzzled and dosed with tranquilizers when Kristen did her first groom. Now Emmy, my sweet Maltese, with a snappy streak, just allows Kristen to go on ahead. WE love Kristen, she is a dog whisperer!
Overall I really like Alcala. My dog seems super happy to go there and I love there is so much group play time. I gave you a 4 instead of 5 for 2 reasons: 1) I find the rates very very high, and it's painful to pay for two days of boarding when we technically stay over a single night. There is zero way to pay for one day of boarding, and I find that to be, well, just wrong for the customer. Say I dropped my dog at 4pm on a Tuesday and got him at 9am the next day. I am charged $130. I'd love if you could rethink this policy and charge by 24-hour periods (like, say, a car rental company). 2) I almost never get feedback on how my dog did. I've never had a report card or a photo. I'd love to hear more about his visits.
Full disclaimer: we're empty nesters, so our fur babies have become our children. Therefore, to say that we adore them beyond words and do whatever is in their best interest would be an understatement. I say this because I want you, the reader, to know that we do our due diligence and research when it comes to those we trust with them. No cutting corners, second best, or anything else in between. None of that. So when I say that Alcala was and is a lifesaver, I sincerely mean it. Our maltipoo, Pumpkin, is 12 years old, so a puppy hasn't been in our household for 11 years. Thus, we were a taaad rusty. We adopted Zoom (labradoodle) when he was three months old (almost six months now) and boy o' boy! Did I mention that a puppy hasn't been in our house in over a decade?! Whew! I knew that no matter how much "training" I did on my own, I needed help. And fast. And from professionals. Alcala was recommended to me, and yep, you guessed it, I did my due diligence! But from the initial phone call to the orientation/assessment and through today, I'm glad I chose them and can't thank them enough for what they do. We signed him up for one of the training/daycare packages, and it has been worth every single penny. Every. Single. One. He gets out all the extra energy and sleeps in his "in-between" days, which I didn't think was possible, but he does. Daycare also allows Pumpkin, our other furry baby, to have a much needed break, and I can work peacefully knowing they're both not home all day, every day. So win, win, win. He absolutely LOVES going to Alcala, and although depending on his mood, he may/may not feel like getting into the car, once we arrive and I park, he can't wait to get out! And because he doesn't realize that he's no longer small in size (see photo below), he jumps on me to hurry up because apparently I don't go at the pace he would like. 😉 However, it is a sweet gesture that brings a smile to my face and tells me that he feels loved, protected, and comfortable there, which is the most I can ask for. Once training sessions are completed, he will be a part of regular daycare. I can't thank Courtney, Cydney, Adam, and everyone else enough! I want to express my delight and gratitude to Ashley for taking care of our kitty while we were away. She made sure to make him feel loved, ensured he had a clean space, and played with him plenty. My cat truly felt comfortable with her and that gave me peace of mind. I can tell Ashley loves caring for clients’ pets which is why I highly recommend her. She even captures the best moments! I had such a wonderful experience working with Ashley!! This was my first time using a professional sitter, she came highly recommended by my best friend. She went above and beyond to make sure my baby was taken well care of even when the key I gave her didn't work, she calmed me down and waited until I figured out a solution for her to get inside. Ashley is the most amazing loving kind compassionate well organized animal lover I have ever met ! I will only trust my pups to Ashley. She always cares 100% for my pups and keeps everything super clean also! She goes above and beyond and we are so blessed to have her as our pup caretaker! I cannot recommend Ashley enough if you are in need of a pet sitter! We were on vacation for a week and she stayed at our home every night and checked on our doggies multiple times a day. She took them for walks, playtime and snuggles every night. We came home to a spotless clean house, bedsheets and towels already in the wash, and two very happy doggies. Ashley sent us multiple photos and videos and texts to let us know how the dogs were doing. I loved receiving their pictures & knowing they were happy. Highly recommend you reach out to Ashley before your next trip or weekend getaway!
Ashley is a wonderful pet sitter! I trust her completely with my cat, Sasha. She’s very friendly and communicative and always sends pictures. When I’m away for a week (or more) I can tell from pictures how my cat is doing and when I get home to her I get a sense of how much attention she had when I was gone. With some other pet sitters I’ve had my cat seemed so much more lonely and needy when I came back, but not with Ashley! I’d definitely recommend Ashley and will continue to use her services!
We were so fortunate to have Ashley care for our pets and house while away several days this month. Our older lab loved her and seemed so comfortable with her right away. While he stayed at her home to curb separation anxiety, she spent plenty of time with our cats at our home. Prior to the trip, she visited us and was prepared with lots of questions getting to know our pets and house. During the trip, Ashley was in close communication with photos and updates. We were so grateful to have her excellent care and love, it made our time away truly relaxing.
This was my first time using a service like this and I was really nervous and feeling unsure of the whole situation as I’ve never boarded my dog, but on that same note never been able to take a family trip because somebody always had to stay behind.. usually me, with the dog. I found Ashley online and saw all the great reviews, so I reached out to her. After having a couple of conversations via phone, she then came to the house for the meet & greet and immediately knew I made the right choice. She was such a delight, so sweet, kind and she immediately bonded with our dog Sadie. Ashley came and watched our dog for a week during the holidays. Not only did I know my dog was in good hands, but I could see that she was based on all the updates and photos that she sent back. As much as I would love to gatekeep Ashley and not share her or how wonderful she is, I know I can’t do that..lol I hope that her business expands and she’s successful as she deserves to be, because she’s amazing person to hire for watching and taking care of your fur babies.

Ashley is AMAZING. I have put off traveling for years in fear of leaving my critter in the wrong hands but will never deal with that problem again. Ashley truly is SO hands on with every aspect of pet care; she sent me so so many photos and videos of my kitty which gave me such peace while I was away. Shes communicative, kind and has a pure heart. I am so grateful to have found her to love and care for my cat when Im away! I highly recommend her services!
I can't say enough about how incredible Ashley is with our Rottie. From the moment she came over to our home for our consult we knew we picked the right person for the job! Just like for any pet owner, its hard when we leave our fur babies behind, its hard to find someone you can trust with him, they really are part of our family, but Ashley took the time to answer all questions we had, provide her expertise and made us feel so confident that she was in good hands. She does everything she can to build trust with you and your pet, you can feel how much she truly cares and loves them like they were her own! My dog is always happy to go to Sue's house. He has so much fun with his friends and is always excited to play with them. Sue is very flexible and made my life easier with my constantly changing schedule. Prices are very reasonable and she will treat your dog like her own. She made putting my dog in daycare stress free and easy. Highly recommended.
Sue specializes in smaller breeds at her doggy day care. Her home and large yard are kept clean and secure. The dogs are very happy to go there, and play with their friends.
Sue comes to take care of all my babies and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do this important job. She also has daycare and boarding in her home and when I need that extra care my babies seem very relaxed just as if they were at home.
They don’t accept all kinds of dogs. They are not all aggressive and they rejected a sweetheart today just because she’s a pitty. This broke my heart to know there are people like them who would judge her for what she is.
Toby gets excited every time we get here so he gets to visit his friends!
