I thoroughly enjoyed the house sitting experience! It was exciting to make a new connection with Pidgie, as she is a wonderful graceful host. I felt very welcomed in her home. She has lovely items from her travels around the world and we had a lot in common being that we're both retired teachers and love to travel and experience life to its fullest! Grover, is such a cutie pie and adorable furry joy! He is a good listener and well-trained and very smart! It was a true pleasure to take care of him and I'm thankful for this experience. It was definitely a win-win situation that I would definitely repeat!
Peggy is such a sweet and affectionate cat - happy to spend time sitting on her own but she also would regularly approach me for pats and love! An especially good companion when working or reading, with simple needs. Ayala’s lovely and clean apartment is perfectly situated for exploring London, and she gave us plenty of recommendations for during our stay and was a welcoming host. Thank you for having us!
We had an amazing time in Amsterdam with Beauford and Lana! Both dogs were super cute, affectionate and also very well behaved! Brittany and Morgan’s place is beautiful. It’s in a perfect location with lots around, and only a short walk to Vondelpark (which the dogs loved!) or a quick bike ride or tram into the center of Amsterdam. Our sit was only 6 days - but we would have happily stayed and looked after Beauford and Lana for weeks! Thanks Brittany and Morgan!
Mike and Julie were gracious and welcoming. It was easy to relax in their lovely home. I was greeted with fresh food supplies soup, bread, eggs & bacon + dessert an extra special treat. Very thoughtful and appreciated. :) Truffles is so sweet and gentle, she likes her food and then is happy to sit and share the comfy sofas or laze on the spacious patio. She was happy with company, sitting close by, yet equally content if you're out for a time. No fuss or bother. Clevedon has a renown cold water swimming Marine lake just a few minutes from the house. The weather was warm enough to give it a go - although locals continue to swim throughout the year whatever the temperature! The Victorian pier has been fully restored and has a popular Glass house restaurant serving Gluten free fish & chips (which were great) as well as the view across the estuary. I felt very at home during this short sit, and highly recommend. Many thanks to Julie and Mike for offering this opportunity to stay and get to explore Clevedon and surrounding areas.
We loved staying at Dawn's Scandi-style home in Totterdown with her friendly Kiwi cat. Quinn is a lovely natured tabby who is great company and extremely easy to look after. The house is also ideally situated for exploring Bristol, Bath, the coast and surrounding countryside. Even though we'd never met before, Dawn made us feel at home straightaway and we felt more like friends coming to visit rather than just housesitters. Her home was warm and comfortable, clean and extremely tidy and the kitchen was well equipped and organised. We really appreciated how much Dawn had prepared for our stay including a lovely bright bedroom with soft cotton bedlinen and hanging space for clothes, and a good selection of maps and local guide books on the bedside table.
I had a great week in the house. It had everything I needed and Ella was a pleasure to look after. She's so easygoing that there's nothing much involved in it at all!
