We appreciate the house and pet sitting that Mae and Ted did for us last week. From the beginning, their communication for this 5 day sit was excellent. They prepared for the sit by reviewing the instructions ahead of time. This made the handoff much easier. They cared for the pets well, sent us a couple photos because we always miss the pets. We returned home to happy pets and a clean and tidy home. Thanks, Mae and Ted.
First and foremost Mariah and Thomas took excellent care of my dog Mister. After 3 months away the house, both inside and out, were clean and organized. They kept me up to date with how everything was going. Not only are they good at pet/house sitting, they are very kind and easy to relate to. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a dog/house sitter.
Jackie is a brilliant host and a very nice person. Very good communication and easy to get along with. We stayed over the night before the sit where we had good conversations over a glass of wine. It was a lovely evening getting to know each other. Jackie's home is warm, spacious and really well put together. Everything is beautifully thought out, it's clear Jackie has put a huge amount of effort into every room. The kitchen is well equipped and a pleasure to cook in. There are places to work and places to relax. Lots of TV channels and a large comfy sofa! Jackie and pets live in an excellent location that is both central to MK city centre and surrounded by parks, the Grand Union canal, the river Ousel and Willen lake. There are loads of good walks and lots of scenery. There is literally everything you would want or need within walking distance. Frazzles - The baby-faced cat: She was very affectionate with us. A clear communicator, she came to us when she wanted cuddles and went to the window when she wanted to go out. Lovely, beautiful animal. Treacle - The fashionista cuddle monster. She likes a walk in her Christmas jumper! Likes to cuddle up on the sofa. She can be a little sensitive at times, but that’s easily cured with a cuddle and a bit of reassurance. Bennie - The one and only. He's had a few medical issues in the weeks before we arrived and was in recovery while we were there. But despite all that he was such a happy soul. We went for some decent length walks, increasing distance slightly each time and he coped very well. Although, he found it very difficult to walk past the local eatery. Saying that, so did I, the food smelt delicious... This is a really good sit if you can get it. We had a good time without any drama. The pets are all super chilled, very affectionate and a pleasure to look after. It was sad when it came time to leave, we'll miss those little critters. Thank you, Jackie, for choosing us. We hope we met your expectations, and we would love to sit for you again if the opportunity comes up.
