I can’t say enough wonderful things about Heather and Mark. They took excellent care of our dogs and left the house spotless! The whole process of working with them was seamless, and we were so happy to come home after a long and tiring overseas flight to a clean house, happy dogs, beds remade and ready to sleep in and a loaf of cinnamon bread for us to enjoy! Highly recommend.
I had a peaceful, restful time in Carla's sanctuary in Charlemont. Carla was easy to communicate with and gave clear, precise instructions on how to care for her pets. She kindly also left a printed guide. Ruby is a dear soul and quickly became my buddy. All the pets slept with or near me in the cozy loft bedroom. Both Sylvester and Piper were friendly with me, and accepted my attention. Piper a little less so, but did come to me for affection and was playful at times. Overall Carla's home is so beautiful and functional, and it has such an interesting history. I stayed there most of the time, walking the grounds and enjoying the mountain breezes, landscape and cows. It's close enough to Charlemont and Shelburne Falls not to feel too remote. If you like this kind of privacy and beauty, this is a special place to stay, with friendly pets.
Pepper is super easy and low maintenance. She just loves to snuggle on the couch. She pulls when you go to the park, but if you stick to the streets, she walks great on leash. She doesn't stray from home when you decide to enjoy the deck. Christine is great! Responsive to texts, and accommodating. There's not much around if you don't have a car, so just come prepared to relax. There are a couple of friendly neighborhood eatery/pubs for breakfast and dinner. The neighbors are all quite nice! Everyone knows Pepper!
I had a wonderful time hanging out with Bella and Sophie in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. Ken and Susan were great hosts - such easy going, lovely people. I had a significant flight delay heading to CA, and they helped make what could have been a stressful start to the sit not so at all. They were extremely kind and gracious about it for which I was very grateful. They showed me around the house and went through the dogs’ routine and care, and I felt quite comfortable and trusted by them which is definitely a plus. We communicated often throughout the trip, and they were always timely in getting back to me when I had questions. Their home and property are beautiful - sitting atop a hill overlooking the town of Santa Barbara, and Bella and Sophie are easily in my top 5 favorite pets to care for. They are pretty chill dogs and very sweet and affectionate. I’m not sure who loved our trips to the beach more - them or me!! I really appreciated how well they behaved and listened even though I was new to them. They play together all the time which kept me entertained! Sophie is the baby of the family and definitely has a little one-year-old puppy mischief in her, but she’s so cute that it’s hard to get upset about it. Ken and Susan took me out for a delicious dinner the night they got home, and I really enjoyed visiting with them and getting to know each other better. I would love the opportunity to look after Bella and Sophie again for future travel. This is definitely a sit that I highly recommend!
Kate was lovely to pet sit for. She helped my mother (who joined me for this particular pet sit) and I feel at home and communicated well during her time away. She even went out of her way to leave some food behind for us which was a lovely treat! We had a lovely time pet sitting for Bosley and would happily pet sit for Kate and her gorgeous Labradoodle again!
I enjoyed staying at Lucy and Adrian's and looking after pussy cat Scooby. Scooby is very easy as she is independent by day staking out her garden and territory and returning early evening for some dinner, petting and purring. The house is very nicely located for exploring Bury St Edmunds which is a beautiful town. Lucy and Adrian were very kind and provided everything for a comfortable stay. Thank you Patricia
David and Emily are a super sweet couple! They welcomed me to their home and we clicked right away. They are both really cool and down to earth, I feel like I made new friends :) I had a lovely stay at their beautiful home with their beautiful Bodhi and Oscar. The house is very comfortable and the garden is very relaxing. Just chill in the hammock and forget about any worries. Bodhi is very affectionate, he would come sleep beside me at night and would come sit with me on the sofa. He is so shy and yet very warm, I love him. Oscar is mostly minding his own business and coming when he is hungry. They are both very adorable and I miss them already! 🥰 Thank you David and Emily for one of the best house sits I had! 🙌
