Andrea did a fantastic job looking after my cat Roxie and getting to know her. Roxie is extremely shy and I was concerned that she would not warm to Andrea being in the house while we were away, but Andrea won her over in record time! Andrea's daily text messages with fantastic photos of Roxie were so much appreciated! I looked forward to getting her daily reports. When Andrea had a family emergency crop up, she explained the situation to me right away and also got a friend to come by to check on Roxie during the night that Andrea was away. Andrea let me know as soon as she was back and to report that Roxie was fine and happy. I would highly recommend Andrea, based on my experience.

Our sit for Silvia and Piero directly followed an unexpected and significantly shortened previous one due to a major health issue experienced by the host. I only mention this to explain and highlight how flexible and cooperative Silvia and Piero were to accommodate us throughout the unusual circumstance. We are most grateful as they offered us an opportunity to stay in their home an extra week while extending their initial travel plans. They are kind and thoughtful indeed - we will long remember it! As for whom we were watching… Bea and Ninamin are a fun contrast in both age and temperament. Bea being the elder, calm, affectionate and devoted matriarch of the home looking after Ninamin; the young, energetic and inquisitive (sometimes mischievous) little kitty. We quickly learned to enjoy their company. Bea provides a steady and relaxed oversight of the happy and playful Ninamin. These are easy animals to look after and we enjoyed doing so. The location of their clean home is near Milan’s Chinatown area which means close to a Metro station and 3 different grocery stores so food shopping was convenient and the stores well stocked. Having the Metro stop so nearby is also handy if you decide to explore other of the more iconic and tourist areas of Milan. We didn’t mind the 35-40 minute walk to Castello Sforzesco, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele III, and the Duomo as we made the trek a few times. While Milan in August can be quite warm and some shops do close down, that will soon be forgotten. What will remain is our profound appreciation for having connected with Silvia and Piero! We happily recommend working with them if you have the chance.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable sit, friendly and kind hosts, amazing pets, beautiful house and gardens, and in an idyllic location! We were warmly greeted by Sally and Phillip and sat down to a delicious supper with the family. Conversation flowed; Sally and Phillip are such interesting people who also kindly showed an interest in us, so we felt very relaxed and comfortable. We were given a tour of their beautiful house and gardens, and Phillip even took us for a short drive to show us some of their favorite walks. The stars of the show were Daphne and google. Two delightful, well behaved and affectionate pets. Daphne was the sweetest little girl and we enjoyed taking her out and about with us, on walks in the New Forest and to The George Inn by the river in Fordingbridge, where she behaved impeccably. Google the cat was equally delightful and affectionate and we all had lots of fun together. We would highly recommend this sit and would love to revisit in the future. Thank you Sally and Phillip for the joy of looking after your pets and home, in such stunning surroundings.
