We were all pleased to meet Paisley as she was friendly, efficient and very caring for Pip, Border Collie, and Merlin the cat. Paisley was quick to learn the pet's routine and how thing worked in the home that I felt confident to leave everything for a fortnight in her capable hands. Paisley was generous enough to take me to the airport when my friend caught covid the day before and made supper for me on my return. Photos arrived every few days to show me how my pets were, via WhatsApp, and I know Pip has made a new friend for life! I would thoroughly recommend Paisley for her honesty, helpfulness and professional friendly care. I do hope we meet up again in the years to come.
We felt at peace on vacation knowing Melinda was taking care of Leon and our home! Not only did she anticipate Leon's goofy tendencies having a golden herself, but she made a very concerted effort to stick to the structure and routine to ensure we didn't come home to a different dog. And Leon sure does like to test you haha. She was communicative yet self-sufficient and left our place impeccably clean. I would definitely recommend Melinda to others wanting to feel their home and pets are well taken care of.
We had a fantastic time at Coleen and Rich's cottage in Abergavenny! We had a night overlap with them and they made us feel very welcome and at home, giving us lots of advice on local walks and tourist hotspots. Throughout the housesit they maintained good communication for the minor queries we had. They are very kind and considerate people, and even gave us a lift to and from the station. Abergavenny is a pretty town with its own castle and market, right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons which had fantastic walks! Archie is a lovely dog who we miss very much! He is really gentle around people and will be your friend straight away. He is energetic particularly around sheep (of which there are a lot in South Wales!) so you just have to be a bit mindful of him pulling on the lead, particularly on steeper slopes as he is quite strong. Overall we would definitely recommend house-sitting for Colleen, Rich and Archie and hope to stay in contact with them!
Kaiser and I enjoyed many gorgeous walks thru the scenic West Hendred countryside, meeting the other friendly walkers and their dogs. Kaiser is an affectionate fellow and very good company. Chantal and Hugh are generous and friendly Hosts. The home and garden was comfortable, clean and cosy. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay , visiting the beautiful area.
Thank you to Sarah and Bill for their generosity and hospitality. Not only did they allow me to stay at their place a few days before/after the sit, but they also offered to pick me up from the airport and drop me at the ferry terminal. Their home is central to everything one would want to see and do in Victoria, and their kitty, Nahlah, is easy to care for. All Nahlah asks is for you to brush her when she climbs atop her cat tree and that you save some space for her on the bed. She's very affectionate and gentle, and it's hard to believe she was once a scared little kitty.
Martin is quick and helpful with communication. His spacious family home is rural - about 10 minutes to either of two small towns both of which have everything you need in terms of essentials. It's a beautiful area with some stunning countryside and notable visiting spots quite close. The animals were delightful and I rather miss the cuddly wee kitten (now a small cat!), going for walks with Whistler and coaxing Shanti to chat.
Sandra, Ricardo and Antonin have a beautiful cozy place but most of all, Rüdiger was adorable! A very affectionate, cuddly cat with his own personality. It was easy to stay in touch for questions and updates and the clear explanation both in person and in a document really helped me feel at easy doing the housesit. Would recommend doing a housesit for Sandra, Ricardo and Antonin any time :)
Poppy and Peanut are both sweet cats with very different personalities. It was a pleasure to look after them for nine days. Judy and Ian were welcoming and provided a great handover, with all the information we needed about the care of Poppy and Peanut. They also gave us good advice about transport, local restaurants and supermarkets, things to do in Koeln and about Carneval. The apartment is close to the city, the river, transport and good shopping areas with restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets and pubs. We loved the stay and we would be happy to do it again.
