On arrival Katherine and David had prepared a lovely meal for us .The guest room with en-suite were lovely and the house modern and beautiful we had a perfect stay and visited a number of places in the local area as we were only caring for Kira the cat .Kira is in a good routine friendly and loving she was a pleasure to look after .
We had the most wonderful time with sweet Ollie in his lovely home! He was very timid at first, not quite running away but certainly not coming out to greet us either. But we won him over quite quickly with some extra treats ;) He even worked up the courage to become a lap cat, so we became excellent coworkers for our last week there! He is so gentle and just such a sweetheart, following us around the house and always coming back inside when we called. Lynn and Alistair's home is in a beautiful estate with very easy access by car to everything you need, plus some interesting local sites! They are both such kind and welcoming people who truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
Honestly this is one of the best sits I've ever done!! If you ever get the opportunity to sit for Maria and Valeriu grab it with both hands!! Communication before during and after the sit was amazing. The tips Maria gave me for my stay both in Bucharest and Sâteni were 100% spot on without exception, if she gives you tips listen to her. Their home in Sâteni is gorgeous, a lovely quiet location with a huge garden for relaxing and chilling out. If you need to work the WiFi is great. And Târgoviste is only a 10 minute drive away if you need anything in a big town. It has it all, shopping centres, bars, cafes, restaurants, sights, parks and cinema. The welcome and hospitality I got from Maria and Valeriu was beyond amazing and I was really lucky to spend a few days with them before they left on their holiday. But of course the main reason for being here was the pets, what can I say, I fell in love with them all although I did kind of lose count of cats at one point 😁. Fetita, Mic, Mo, Foca and Hera are 5 amazingly well behaved dogs who just showered me with love. They all have very different personalities, some quieter than others but ALL are incredibly loving.. They are really easy to care for and have their routines which are easy to follow. Some of the cats are indoors/outdoors some are just outdoors, all of them are lovely. Some actively seek loving some won't come near you. Again, the cats routine is easy to follow. Maria arranged for someone to look after 'the zoo' so I could go away for one night to explore and that was an amazing experience too. They were even kind enough to allow a friend from home come to stay for a few days and she loved it too. I could honestly go on and on about how wonderful this sit is. Suffice it to say, I consider them friends for life now and they would be welcome in my home anytime they want. I would sit for them again in a heartbeat.
It was an absolute pleasure to care for Juno and Tigger. They are the most well behaved dogs and full of love. I would definitely take any opportunity to care for them again. The home is just perfect and easy to get to. Kinvara is a dream host! She's just the kindest human and very welcoming.
Marisa and Gernot have a beautiful house in a lovely, quiet and safe area of Hang Dong. We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed looking after Noodle, Jo, Fuji and Willow! It was so wonderful to stay in such a well equipped house and have access to things like bikes and an oven...which we haven't had anywhere else in SE Asia! Marisa and Gernot left detailed instructions and met with us beforehand, so we were well equipped for the house sit. Thanks for the opportunity!
