I had an amazing time in Edinburgh with Archie. Jo & Craig’s house is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect - a short walk to Arthur’s seat, the meadows and 25 min walk to central Edinburgh. Archie was the perfect little companion for my week away, while starting off a little shy and apprehensive, he quickly become glued to my hip. He’s not overly keen on going for walks but is happy enough once out and about. Jo and Craig were great throughout the sit and I would 100% recommend.
Sitting for Janet and John was an excellent experience. They’re a warm and welcoming couple who obviously want their sitters to feel comfortable in their well-equipped home. Brothers Clouseau and Cato are affectionate and lovable feline companions. In addition to its incredible views of the Pyrenees and nearby Rennes-le-Château, there are many sights of historical and cultural interest in the immediate vicinity of Janet and John’s beautiful home. In short, we couldn’t have asked for a better sit! Although Janet and John had a long drive ahead of them, they allocated plenty of time to do a thorough walk-through of their home and garden. Their very comprehensive Welcome Guide and detailed instructions for Cato and Clouseau ensured that we had all the necessary information to care for their beloved cats, home, garden, and pool. During the sit, we appreciated that Janet and John were very responsive to our messages even though they were in the UK for the much-anticipated arrival of their third grandchild. As we discovered on the first day of our sit, Clouseau is a very social cat. If we were on the terrace enjoying the view, Clouseau was right there with us. When we went for a swim in the evening, he found things to occupy his attention by the perimeter of the swimming pool. The only time that he ventured further afield seemed to be in the wee hours of the morning when he would occasionally reappear with an offering. While it took a couple of days for Cato to get used to us, he turned out to be a real snuggle bug! :-) Much to our delight, this sleek ‘outdoor’ cat LOVES being brushed and having his cheeks scratched. Our long “brushing sessions” quickly became a favorite morning ritual. In order not to show favoritism between his two human sitters, he would allow one of us to cuddle him before generously moving onto the other one’s lap – and then repeat the process! As mentioned above, there is a lot to see and do in the region. Some of our favorites were the lively Sunday market in nearby Espéraza, Carcassonne (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and Quéribus, one of the Cathar castles. To make the most of your stay, it helps to have a car. We were also thankful to have had one when we needed to take Cato to the vet in nearby Quillan. We’re happy that our sit was for three weeks because that gave us ample time to fully enjoy Janet and John’s very comfortable home and lovely garden. With several different outdoor seating areas and a pool, staying at their home is even better than vacationing at a resort! Thank you, Janet and John, for inviting us to care for Cato, Clouseau, and your beautiful home! We truly appreciated your warm welcome and the delicious quiche that you prepared for our lunch. You’re the kind of people who make a THS sit such a rewarding experience! We would happily return if the occasion ever presents itself.
Amazing sit! What a beautiful family Stephanie, Jam, Coco and Simba are. It was great to stay in their beautiful and cozy house with these 2 loving cats. Simba was so playful and always wanted to be with us, Coco is adorable and once she gets to know you, she becomes so loving! It was perfect! Stephanie and Jam are very friendly, gave us all the information we needed, including great tips for the city and were a lot of fun to talk to! Thank you so much
We had a lovely time with Eddy and Coco. They are puppies with high energy but we're great off lead at the parks and slept well during the nights. Beatrice and Rob were very welcoming and we felt right at home straight away.
Cat-sitting for Noelle and her three amazing cats was an absolute pleasure as they are simply a joy to be around. They each have their unique personalities and quirks, which made my time with them all the more enjoyable. What impressed me the most about Noelle was her genuine love and care for her cats. She provided me with detailed instructions about their feeding schedules, meds, and any special requirements they had. Moreover, Noelle's hospitality and friendliness made my cat-sitting experience even more enjoyable, she's a fantastic cat owner and a genuinely kind person.
Bella was such a sweet girl. I truly enjoyed a relaxing weekend with her in Stacy's beautiful home. Everything had such an elegance about it – in and outside of their house. I loved spending time out back, grilling, while Bella was with me. Walks were pleasent with Bella around their neighborhood and I slept very well in thier guest room =) Truly grateful for my stay!
