Marisa was wonderful caring for our two dogs and our home. Even our neighbors commented on how pleasant she was with them and how she was constantly playing with them. Marisa was very organized with her travel plans. She had some questions ready upon arrival, for clarification of some of my instructions on the Welcome Guide. Our home was clean and in the same condition as we left it. Marisa sent information and photos daily. We are looking forward to her next pet sit with us.
I felt very comfortable leaving Come Hear with Julianna. She sent pictures which ease any doubts that my baby was safe.
Dogs are lovely! She leaves very detailed instructions and everything went smooth, house is well located and cozy, will def recommend it
Peter and Elke are a warm friendly couple who trusted Tony and I with their two cats -Fatso and Penny. Both cats are delightful characters with their own personalities - Penny more forthcoming and chatty than Fatso, Fatso a bit more shy and retiring until feeling more comfortable with the change, then also very chatty. Fatso is a bit more particular in his eating habits, and more of a gentleman deferring to Penny if she is around. Penny likes company while eating, checking constantly you are there, and can be a bit devious in trying to (illegally) share Fatso's food. Both cats get on well with each other and ambushing is part of their games. Penny delighted in climbing under the blankets in the morning making a great game of that as well. Loads of toys have been provided by Peter and Elke and they are well used and enjoyed -mostly by Penny but also Fatso. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood and quite close to a number of shopping areas. The gardener knows his job and gets on with it, the housekeeper was ill during our stay so Tony and I took care of the inside. I totally fell in love with Elke's appliances (?not found in South Africa?) as well as her kitchen knives, and we both loved Peter's TV/sound system. I would not hesitate in recommending this housesit and although repeat dates have not worked for us yet, I would not hesitate to return.
I had the most wonderful sit at Tyler and Calvin's. Tyler's apartment is just as classy and stylish as Tyler is himself. It is so homey, comfortable, and safe. It is also very conveniently located. Tyler has great neighbors in the building and the neighborhood neighbors are just as delightful. But on the main stage- the man, the myth, the legend, the Calvin.. is every bit of bulldog and is an absolute treasure. He enjoys a good chat and sniffing new smells. When he does his happy dance, you can't help but do it too.. You start to get carried away with it, and the two of you are now dancing (more like bounding) around the apartment and then you’re having your strength tested.. because that boy LOVES his toys and LOVES having you try to test his strength by having you try to take them from him. Until you have to tap out for a minute because you probably don't exercise enough.. but then realize you're now both winning this battle in the great tug of war. (Spoiler: it is a Win/Win draw.) He really is just a wrinkly ball of sunshine. He's so soothing when he naps/sleeps. Especially if the lullaby is sweet bulldog Calvin snores. He would do his night time routine after watching me do mine, and he would let me vent or just spitball ideas to him while giving him a good brushing. He can't get enough of you telling him how he's just the best, most handsome, strongest, sweetest, toughest brute baby on the block. And quite frankly, you can’t stop, nor do you want to. Life can be a really strange adventure sometimes.. but Tyler, Tyler’s space and Calvin’s squishy face were just what my soul needed. Thank you, Tyler! I highly recommend and would be honored to sit here again. Miss you, Calvin The Stallion!
This was my first house sit using this site and it was wonderful! Denis' house was large, clean, spacious, and just lovely. They have a pool to sit and relax in and listen to the birds. The skies were beautiful in the evening and I would often sit by the pool and read. The cats are very easy going. Pepper will lay on your lap for as long as you let her. Oscar loves to chase toys and have a good chin scratch. Max is usually off on his own, relaxing, but he does like a good pet every once in a while! Their house is a short drive to some beautiful beaches including Atlantic Dunes (my favorite), Highland Beach, South Inlet Beach, and more and more! I also enjoyed the Yamato Scrub Natrual Area, which is less than a mile from the house. There are different trait routes to take, both paved and unpaved. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone else!
I just loved looking after Cali. She is such a good girl. We had plenty of fun playing in the park or cuddling. Kim and Jonas are lovely people. Communication was flawless. I met them before they left for their trip and they gave me all the instructions and some lovely local tips. I had a really lovely time housesitting for them and would love to do it again.
My family and I loved pet sitting for Amber. She was very friendly, welcoming and easy to communicate with. She has a lovely cozy home and some amazing pets. All of them loved the constant attention from all 5 of us and were great with kids. Bandit loves following you everywhere and loves to be cuddled and given all the attention. Hazel loves to cuddle when she is out and sleep with you. Thomas loves to stare out the back door and window and is a bit more independent but loves to be scratched behind the ear and vocal when awake. Ace loves playing with Bandit and will come over every once in a while to hang around you. Sky is the most calm and independent of the bunch but loves going out for walks. We walked all 3 of them between two adults which was helpful as they are really strong. Overall we loved our stay with all 5 pets and would be happy to watch them again!
