Nicole and Jorge watched our cat Claudia for just a little over 3 weeks and we were very happy with our experience with them both. We were actually gone for a total of 6 weeks and had 2 different zeewoi sitters, so even though we didn’t get to see our place after they left, we heard from our second sitter that the place was left in a perfect state.

The communication between us was consistent and we always felt that Claudia was in good hands! We thank you both for loving on our girl so much. Being back in our home we can tell by her overall demeanor that she missed us, but wasn’t longer for attention while we were gone.

Sosha and Samara kept us informed about our home and our cat. They sent photos of our "laid back" cat and the progress she and "Little Bear," their cat, were making as they learned to get along. When we arrived home after our three week trip, they had delicious lasagna waiting for us, and two bars of handmade soap that they created.
It's important that our housesitters keep in touch with us, and Sosha and Samara more than exceeded this expectation.

My sister Gaya and I had the pleasure of house sitting for Manuela and Wolfgang. They are incredibly welcoming and wonderful people to be around. We felt at home immediately and loved spending time with them laughing and enjoying a lovely home cooked dinner together!

They have the most amazing dogs you’ll ever come across. Vita and Bambi are lovely companions! They are just the cutest, very well behaved and really made us laugh. Vita loves to play hide & seek, and Bambi is a bit more calm, but loves running around in the garden! They are both very affectionate and love a good belly rub, so cute!

The house was truly amazing, they have a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely guest bed- and bathroom, and the most amazing garden you will ever see. A really large property for the dogs to be able to run freely and as much as they want, with trees and green all around. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. The sound of all the birds makes you feel like you are in the rainforest. And by far the best place for dogs to live we have ever seen.

The house is located in a quiet rural area, so you will need a car. Supermarkets are only a short drive away. The surrounding towns are also fun to explore! There is lots to see and enjoy all around.

Even though it has only been a few days, we already miss Vita & Bambi so much and are looking forward to coming back in the future! See you soon!

Temba and Trixie are two lovebugs who are eager to spend as much time with their sitters as they can. Temba is always close and looking for a cuddle, while Trixie takes longer to warm up to you but is quite cuddly as well. They both need a few walks a day, so I'd typically walk them three times - one short stroll in the morning and the evening, and one longer walk to get their energy out. They get easily excited as well so patience is key. But otherwise very easy to take care of. Claire had left plenty of clear information about the area and the care they needed.

Athina
We were so pleased to be invited to housesit for Athina and her farm.
We went for a visit a month before the sit to learn about the care of her animals, sheep, goats, chickens, Streifchen the cat and the two ponies, a recent addition to the farm.
Athina sent us news and updates with wonderful photos leading up to our arrival a day before the sit and walked us through all the routines again. Everything was well organized and provided for.
We soon found a daily rhythm: first thing in the morning we let the ponies out of the stable onto their fenced paddock where they had fresh hay, while the sheep had their own breakfast of hay undisturbed. We greeted the five beautiful hens already busy laying eggs, and fed Streifchen the cat.
After our own breakfast, we spent time with the ponies, brushed them and let them onto the big meadow. In the evening we led them back to a clean stable and a bowl of apple, carrot and oats.
The sheep eagerly awaited their buckets of special feed or Kraftfutter. We tried to keep the billy goat, rather a bully, from chasing the shy sheep away and gobble it all up himself.
We loved watching the white ponies and the beautiful Cameroon sheep peacefully graze on the big meadow and the five white hens weave in and out unconcerned. It reminded us of our little farm in California.
The chickens were so much fun, they followed me everywhere or settled down around me when I sat outside on a rare sunny day, entertaining me with their constant chats and conversations.
It was nice to come in from a cold and rainy day to a warm kitchen and comfortable house.
We had lovely excursions through the rolling hills and villages of the Black Forest and found some great farm stores and markets. There is a walk to the Hühnersedelturm, a watchtower from where you have a great view over the Black Forest, even to the Swiss mountains on a clear day.
Thank you Athina for all the wonderful conversations on animal husbandry, health and the world around us, and for the lovely gifts you brought us from Greece.
Al the best to you and your family, the ponies, sheep, chickens and kitty.

John & Lynne
Looking after Dee Dee and Jack was a true delight. They're sweet, cuddly and playful. It was wonderful getting to know them and spending time in their company. They're laid back and easy to be around. Already missing them.

Lynne and John are friendly and fab. Gracious hosts and the kindest souls. Their place is warm, comfy and quiet with all the mod cons. We enjoyed our three weeks looking after two of the most adorable cattos ever. Thanks everyone. And lots of love. ❤️
