Let’s be honest: no dog or cat is perfect. But I’m willing to argue that Pepper, Milo, & Chance are pretty close to it! The three pets are such calm animals who don’t have a huge list of demands. The cats only ask to be fed and given some affection. Milo will be your buddy as soon as you meet, and then Chance is the cutest when he earns your trust. They are outdoor cats, so no litterbox cleaning! Seriously, they are the best cats to watch for. Pepper is the coolest goldendoodle I’ve ever met. She wants nothing more than to cuddle on the couch. She never barks (this is not an exaggeration) and only goes to the bathroom when you take her on a walk. She sleeps through the night, but just be ready for her to snuggle with you in bed. If not, then just tell her and she’ll hop off and sleep on the couch. For walks, you have plenty of options around the neighborhood. The park next to Queen Emma’s Summer Palace was a favorite stop or simply walking the neighborhood was great exercise and gorgeous with its views. Be ready for some hills/elevation in Hawaii if you’re not from around here. Also, there are lots of other dogs in this neighborhood, so Pepper may jump toward them out of curiosity. Just use common sense when walking near them. I found using the harness collar was a lot better than a regular collar so that it wouldn’t pull on her neck. Just a couple redirection nudges is all it would take to get Pepper refocused. Again, she is an amazing dog, and I looked forward to walking or jogging with her everyday. She is an even better swimmer and beach companion! The house is located in a safe neighborhood of Honolulu up in the mountain ridge only minutes away from the downtown area. You can get to any part of Oahu (Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Kailua, Makapu’u) in a quick drive. Renting a car is a must if you plan on exploring the island. Nathan & Emma are not fussy homeowners, so I felt comfortable in their place where I didn’t need to tiptoe around the house. They left us a wonderful list of their favorite places to visit and beaches to take the dog. Their communication was always open, and I could ask them questions if needed. They also have nice neighbors who will make you feel the aloha welcome (shout out to Emelie & Michael!). This family of pets will truly make you happy and want to take good care of them. We left with bigger hearts and we thank Nathan & Emma for sharing this experience with us. Highly recommended sit!
This was an absolutely lovely house sit! There is a beautiful creative energy in this home, and it has a fantastic view of the water. The yard and garden were magical to watch bloom during the springtime. Dwight and Jen are wonderful and kind people that communicated great. Betty is pretty independent and does her own thing. Since I spent three months with her, we bonded and had some lovely moments together. I highly recommend this house it. It's a gem!
We had a wonderful time pet sitting Rufus and Dolly for Laura! Rufus, with his affectionate and joyful nature, made each day a delight. We had many fun walks together and enjoyed his love for cuddling on our laps while we worked. Dolly, on the other hand, was a bit more reserved on the first day but warmed up to us quickly, and we loved her playful personality. Watching her gaze out of the window and occasionally giving Rufus playful cat punches made our time with them so much fun. The house was easy to settle into and Laura ensured we had clear instructions to care for the pets, making everything run smoothly. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we'd be more than happy to pet sit for them again in the future!
We had a lovely time staying at Samantha place. Denzi was good as gold and such a pleasure to look after. We loved our daily walks to the river/field and cuddles in the evening. The village is lovely and has some beautiful pubs, cafes and shops. Sam and her family were very welcoming, the house was cosy and relaxing. Thank you for having us.
This was truly a 5 star sit for us. First of all, Nadia and Michael are really caring and nice. We spent one day talking before they left for their holiday and it was a pleasure, we hope to see them again in future. The animals were very easy and sweet. The 2 cats, Clementina and Muffin, are shy at the beginning, but they will come to you or in your bed to receive cuddles. Gelsomina is the sweetest dog ever meet. She was always staying on the sofa with us watching movies, coming with us to do some nice walks on the lakeside and we miss her a lot already. The house is warm, tidy, and you will have a really nice bedroom with private bathroom. We recommend this sit 100% to everyone.
it was just an incredibly wonderful time.Margarita is a very kind and interesting person who really loves her cats. She has the five sweetest Persian cats and it was a pleasure to spend the days together with the kitten gang. In any case, you should also be really interested in the cats and spend time with them. As they live indoors they do need attention but it is great fun to play and cuddle with them as they are very people-oriented. There are also three more cats living outdoors. But you just need to feed them. The house and the flat are very nice and perfectly located for excursions. You definitely need a car, but basically everything is easily accessible. The room has an ensuite bath and the kitchen is fully equipped. I was very delighted with the island and would love to come back anytime. Margarita was very hospitable and I can recommend everyone to make a nice trip to Cyprus. For me personally it was one of the most amazing workations and pet sits.
