I had a very short but very sweet sit at Lucy and Alex’s stunning house and garden. Lucy and Alex made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived. Pebbles and Rocky were well behaved, loving dogs. They are easy to walk, with walks being straight out of the garden or at the end of the village. Rocky has some hilarious quirks and is very affectionate, I was fortunate with the weather and we all spent the evening in the garden. The arrival of a hedgehog brought out an inquisitive side to the dogs. I would love the opportunity to sit for Lucy and Alex again.
We had a very nice time in Hermanus. The location of the house is excellent. It is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants and also some fabulous local walks. We did not venture far as we knew Ziggy is very old and frail and needs a lot of care. The house was spacious and comfortable and the pool was much needed as the weather was very hot. Our hosts left detailed instructions and were friendly and welcoming.
Charles and Laura left very clear and helpful instructions. Lloyd and Harry are very sweet and enjoy chats throughout the day.
I had such a wonderful experience watching Wanda at Leila's beautiful home! Wanda is the absolute sweetest dog and I really grew close to her during my stay. She is super easy and loves to cuddle and be by your side. She loves belly scratches and treats! Leila's home is gorgeous and a perfect space for working, relaxing, and enjoying the beautiful neighborhood of Condesa. If you have a chance to take care of Wanda, you are very lucky. I would watch her again in a heart beat. Thank you, Leila!
Our stay was, as given in our rating five star. Pumpkin the cat was a delight to look after and the house very enjoyable to stay in. Jaimie gave us lots of recommendations for the area and we really enjoyed Pumpkins company.
From the moment we arrived to look after Zillie we felt very comfortable and at home. Debbie and Dustin are so friendly and welcomed us into their beautiful home, they took time to show us everything we needed to know for our stay before they left for their holiday. Debbie and Dustin had made a real effort to prepare their home for our stay which we really appreciated and went out of their way to make sure our time spent in their home was a lovely experience. Communication with them was very easy before and during the housesit. Zillie is such a sweet girl, and a dream to look after. For a lady in her senior years she is bright, alert, perceptive and loves her mealtimes. Zillie sleeps a lot but when she was awake she liked to be part of our day and often came to sit with us in the kitchen first thing in the morning and while I cooked, exercised etc. She is the best company whilst watching TV and loved to be brushed. We adored her. Debbie and Dustin's spacious home is in a lovely part of Essex with a beautiful view at the back of the house making our stay feel very relaxing. Our bedroom was big with a comfortable bed, and it's so quiet we had no problems sleeping. The area is friendly, and we felt very safe at all times of the day. The transport is good, there are 2 buses nearby, so it was easy to get to the train station and the main high street. There is also a parade of shops about a 10 min walk away that has a post office, dry cleaners, green grocers, florist, bakery, chemist etc, which was so handy. There is also a pub within walking distance which we didn't get to visit but wish we had as it looked great. We are so lucky to have had the chance to look after Zillie, we will really miss her, she's a great cat and was the highlight of our stay. Highly recommend this housesit!!
