Victoria and Hayden did a fantastic job of looking after my two aging kitties while I was away for two and a half weeks. I was particularly grateful to have such reliable sitters as one of my babies has reduced kidney function and needs extra attention and dietary supplements. Victoria and Hayden managed to give him a paste (which he hates and struggles to get away), and fiber powder (which he is also not super keen on and thus needs some coaxing) every day while I was away and never expressed any difficulties. At one point, Bailey was eating less than normal and they let me know and together we tried another approach to get him interested in his food again (which worked and they let me know how he was doing). Communication was good before, during and after the trip. I really appreciated Victoria and Hayden making the extra effort to arrive the day before my departure so that we could meet and go over the cats' routine together. It was immediately evident to me that they would take good care of my two kitties and look after the house, and that is exactly what they did! Not only did Victoria and Hayden do a good job cat and housing sitting, but they were also incredibly understanding when the hot water heater stopped working and we were unable to find a solution to the problem working together over the phone (indeed it ended up needing to be completely replaced!) Overall, a great experience for both the kitties and me and I hope they come back again in the future!

Susan
Susan is a very communicative, cooperative and friendly pet owner. Her beautiful lakefront property and adorable, well-behaved dog, Hallie, made this a wonderful sit - easily one of our most enjoyable!

Even better, she also generously allowed use of her vehicle and even gave us an unexpected but very thoughtful thank you gift.

Highly recommended if you ever have the chance!

Lori
This was a perfect sit, from beginning to end. Are Lori and Brett the nicest people ever? They definitely have my vote. We had a couple of video calls before the sit and Lori sent lots of information about the house and the cats. I felt completely prepared when we arrived. Lori and Brett showed Bruce and me around the house before they left, explaining everything and making us feel very comfortable and welcome. Their home is amazing and there was even a hot tub!
Bowinkle and Maizel are absolutely delightful. Maizel loves to cuddle up on your lap and is also quite a little athlete. She leaps around playing with the wand toy and loves her little fabric houses where she plays "catch the shadow" with your hand. Bowinkle took a couple of days to warm up to us, but then became the biggest lover boy! If we got up in the night, he always accompanied Bruce or me to the bathroom and escorted us back to bed like our own little sherpa. He's a very talkative boy and has the sweetest face. We really fell in love with these two!
When Lori and Brett came back, we stayed an extra night and really felt like we made a connection with them. They are such interesting and kind people. We'd sit for them again anytime. I only rated this sit 5 stars because 10 stars weren't available.

Claire
Excellent house sit. Communication with Claire was great and a thorough handover was done with a folder of information provided. House was as described in the listing.
Molly and Lyra were adorable, behaved exactly as described. Although didn't need much walking due to their age, did walk great on leads. Lyra does like reassurance at times and often comes and pokes his nose into your hand or under your arm for a stroke.
First time looking after a parrot and I found Baba very entertaining. He was quite at first but became more vocal after a couple of days getting used to me. Started sticking his beak out of the cage for a head stroke which was cute. Next time Baba I will brave it and let you out of your cage.
Overall fantastic house sit and would highly recommend. Looking forward to next one.
