Lightning does strike twice! Lucky us to have had Valerie and her partner Taylor available to sit for Doug and Beaker again. These two are an absolute treasure. The love and care they show for our animals and home is always above and beyond. All the videos and photos and the joyful nature of our pets showed their tremendous commitment to their care. What makes our travel so smooth and easy to enjoy at the fullest is knowing these two are at the helm when we are away. I have zero worries when they are here and feel like I am leaving our fur family and home in the absolute best possible care. I trust them implicitly and feel like I hit the lottery (twice!). We came home from a 24-hour travel day to a spotless home and very happy puppers again which was such a gift. Much like they are! Now I have to cross my fingers that they are available for our next trip! 😜🤞🙏
What an amazing first experience we had with this awesome family!! Considering this was our inaugural sit request, we were a little anxious with leaving our 3 pups, but Anna and Allen have certainly put our minds at ease. They were extremely communicative, and sent plenty of pictures and updates about what/how our fur babies were doing. And to top it off, our house was spotless when we arrived home from our trip. The kiddos were so sweet, and very gentle with our older pups. We would consider ourselves lucky to have them sit for us again!
Wow, wow! What a fabulous house sit this was! Glyn kindly picked us up from the airport and drove us to the house where we met Nicki, Lewis (their son), and the sweet pets, Bubble, Monty and Minnie. Nicki prepared a wonderful dinner and it was so nice to sit around and get to know this lovely family. We had one of the most thorough handovers ever, and received the welcome guide well in advance. We also did a very instructional and thorough walk through around the house and gardens. Communication was great throughout the sit, and Nicki was very responsive when we had questions regarding a medical situation with Bubble. Bubble is an absolutely adorable little dog with a BIG personality. She was having some mobility issues so we had to limit her activities and provide some medication. She took her meds like a champ and received 2 walks/day, though short due to her limitations. Hopefully, all will be sorted soon. Monty is so funny and quite a character! He provided a lot of laughs with his antics. He's pretty good off lead but his recall could use a little work. He'll get there, but when his nose is to the ground that's all he can focus on. Treats entice him, however. He is a handsome boy and tolerates his grooming, though not every day. Minnie is just the sweetest cat. She is so loving and loves being around people. She adored being brushed and loved her special food we gave her every once in a while. She resides outside in the pool area, but always comes around for a cuddle when your out there. Thier home is gorgeous and immaculately clean. The guest room was spacious, comfy and had plenty of closet and drawer space for a sitter to unpack and settle in. The outdoor seating areas are beautiful and we used them often. Sandringham is a gorgeous community with lots of walking, biking and beaches to keep you busy. If you are chosen for this sit, consider yourself very lucky! We highly recommend and hope to be back in 2024.
