From the very beginning we both felt very fortunate to be accepted to sit for Ellie and Mike and look after Bear. Ellie and Mike are kind, thoughtful, efficient and delightful people. We simply couldn’t have been better looked after all the way along. Massive thanks. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly gentle Bear who is much beloved and no wonder, he is very lovable. He runs like the wind off the lead with his ears flapping in the wind but always checking behind to make sure we were following. He loves his walks and his rests. He is so gentle and when offered treats would never be brash enough to snap and gulp more reach out and hold in his mouth before tiptoeing off to eat in private. A real little gentleman. The house is extremely comfortable and spotless and in every way a lovely home in a pretty area of East Sussex. Plenty of places to walk Bear and for us to visit. And also a daily walk around a field at the back of the house and a delightful pub with excellent food is a 3 minute walk away. If you are lucky enough to be accepted for this sit you are assured of enjoying every day in a beautiful home in the company of a very sweet natured, well mannered, much loved pooch whose owners are generous, hospitable and a very big pleasure to communicate with.
Rachel and Mike were extremely communicative and went above and beyond in accommodating me before and during my sit! They even helped arrange accommodations for me in the lead-up to my arrival, during which I had a gap in my travel plans. Their beautiful home was clean and very well-appointed, and they were warm and welcoming hosts for me when I arrived- feeding me lovely meals, stocking the fridge thoughtfully to accommodate my food allergies, and even providing me with a folding bike AND a transit pass for the duration of my stay. Their dog Polly was adorable, if a little on the vocal side (she's a colourful and energetic character who does experience occasional anxiety) and we had lots of fun together! I also appreciated having occasional half-days off to go to museums when Polly went to creche. I would recommend this sit to any serious dog lovers and would 100% stay at Rachel and Mike's again!
Carter and DJ and Chloe are the sweetest animals. I had a lot of fun visiting the nearby dog park, walking the adjacent forest trails, and cuddling up with Chloe on the couch. Becki also made sure I had everything I needed to feel comfortable and at home. In summary: gracious and flexible hosts, well-behaved, affectionate and adorable pets, and a lovely house situated in a nice location. I would definitely recommend this sit to others.
Randy and Tabatha have a lovely home in a nice area in Palo Cedro. They made us feel very much at home, and left us a detailed Welcome Guide should we have had any questions or problems. We would recommend this sit to anyone who loves 3 furry friends and 1 very cute and affectionate small poodle! There was a lot to enjoy in this area as well!
I had a wonderful time with Rosco and Koa. They are both well-behaved, loveable, and easy to take care of. I adored them. We had lots of cuddles and playtime together. Sheri and her husband were warm and welcoming. They made me feel right at home. Their home is nestled in the trees, so you feel like you are out of the big city. I felt safe and very comfortable while there. I will happily return to sit for them anytime, so don't hesitate to consider sitting for them. I am already missing Rosco and Koa!
I loved getting to hang out and care for Amy's and Pete's beautiful victorian home, along with getting to know Neils and Alonzo!! - They are sweet, funny, and have their own character! Amy did a great job of doing a pre-walkthrough before I stayed over. I got a well detailed Google doc about the house and kitty care. Communication was seamless. And overall I had a good time. Got some work done (I work from home) and enjoyed the Mission. I don't have any other feedback to offer other than I'd be happy to sit for these two kitties again if the family ever needs assistance in the future..I'm up for it! Thanks Amy and Pete.. I hope that me staying there gave you much needed peace of mind while you enjoyed your vacation!
