Nicole was awesome!! She took great care of our dogs and went above and beyond to give Madison a shampoo bath to relieve her itchy paws. Nicole sent us daily updates, stuck with the dogs’ normal routine, and gave them lots of love. She also cleaned up the house before we got home which was so nice. We would highly recommend Nicole as a trustworthy house/pet sitter!
The lovely Massy was a little suspicious at first, but after the first day we got on very nicely. She is an affectionate old lady cat who slept in the bedroom, and let me know when it was time for breakfast with a tiny wet nose and a paw on the face, and it was lovely to have her company at Ned and Tina's place. The house is really comfortable and full of cool vintage stuff, and heaps of houseplants and has a conservatory and a little courtyard garden to sit out in. Everything you could want is in the kitchen including a kick ass coffee machine and more cook books and spices than you can shake a stick at. Communication was easy and jovial from the word go and Ned made helpful videos to show where things were or how they worked. Getting around was really easy, the house is next to the Bristol bath railway path and the train and bus to town both go from St Marks road, which is also home to the fabulous Sweet Mart and a brilliant charity shop. Thanks so much Ned and Tina and apologies for the late review. I would thoroughly recommend this sit.
Bret & Mary were absolutely amazing and incredibly nice. They are travel blogger and had great stories tell. I had the chance to spend the night with them to meet Huckleberry and Buddy before they left. Their boys were sweet and ready for playtime and adventure. They left detailed notes on what the boys needed, provided suggestions for food, hiking trails, and sightseeing places for me and the boys to visit in the area. I had the opportunity to hike with the boys on multiple trails in the area, the boys were well-behaved, and everything went incredibly well!
Sarah and I had a great time. Sheldon the cat has quite the personality, he knows what he wants and very comfortable to ask if you're a bit slow in working it out. Dave and Kathy were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. The peaceful surroundings and the pool allowed us to get back to nature and appreciate the plentiful bird life around the house. We would be delighted to come back. If you get this housesit you are very fortunate, as I think we were. It was a great pleasure doing Sitting for Livia, we met on a video call and we already had great communication, in the following weeks she always responded quickly offering all the necessary information to facilitate our arrival in London. It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with Mia, she is so easy going, friendly and well mannered, we missed her dearly after we left. She will really know how to steal your heart, believe me she will arrive little by little, she will sleep in your bed making some super funny sounds and you will already be in love! She is very disciplined, so don't be late opening the door to the garden and don't keep her waiting for dinner! :) She will be happy if you turn on the faucet so she can drink running water, but she will be upset when you go to brush her fur… there's a lot of talking to do ;) We have no words to say thanks Livia for her generosity and organization, she welcomed us the day before her trip with a wonderful dinner, her house is super cozy, really clean and comfortable, the location is excellent, you have easy access to transport that takes you to the main points of London. We absolutely recommend this housesit, we would certainly be more than happy to be invited again!
It was just wonderful to take care of Monty and Toffie. Two beautiful and extremely loving Ragdoll tomcats with whom I fell in love immediately. They like to play, have a wonderful, calm character and keep coming, to see what you're up to. Sometimes they follow you all over the house. Manuela and Gerhard are an extremely lovable couple with a big heart for animals. They built a fenced patio so the cats can go outside to chill and play. The evening before the sit we had dinner together at home and talked about the needs of the cats etc. Everything was super well organized and easy to deal with. The house has a breathtaking mountain view, is modern and comfortably furnished, everything is super neat and clean. The Wifi is strong and ideal for working online. The location is quiet and rural, but you can also get to the city quickly. A supermarket and other shops are about 5 minutes away by car. I enjoyed this sit immensely and would love to come back to look after Monty and Toffie. I already miss them. Highly recommended! Es war einfach nur wunderbar auf Monty und Toffie aufzupassen. Zwei wunderschöne und extrem liebe Ragdollkater mit denen ich mich sofort gut verstanden habe. Sie spielen gerne, haben einen grundanständigen, ruhigen Charakter und kommen immer wieder mal vorbei um zu sehen, was man gerade so macht. Manchmal laufen sie einem durchs ganze Haus hinterher. Manuela und Gerhard sind ein extrem liebenswertes Pärchen mit einem ganz großen Herz für Tiere. Sie haben einen eingezäunten Wintergarten gebaut damit die Katzen raus können zum Chillen und Spielen. Am Abend vor dem Sit haben wir zu Hause zusammen Abend gegessen und alles weitere besprochen. Es war alles super toll organisiert und einfach zu handeln. Das Haus hat einen atemberaubenden Bergblick, ist modern und gemütlich eingerichtet, alles ist super ordentlich und sauber. Das Wifi ist stark und ideal zum online arbeiten. Die Lage ist ruhig und ländlich, man ist aber auch relativ schnell in der Stadt. Ein Supermarkt und andere Geschäfte sind 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Ich habe diesen Sit extrem genossen und konme sehr gerne wieder, um auf Monty und Toffie aufzupassen. Ich vermisse die beiden schon. Höchst empfehlenswert!
