Madeline is super nice, very organized. Communication with her was easy. I got lovely updates on how cats are doing. When we returned home, house was clean and cats were happy 🙂

Barry and Jessica looked after our 3 fur babies and apartment so well. We got daily pictures / updates. The shyest kitten, who normally hides for a while with new people, came out of his hiding spot about 2 minutes after we left and appeared very comfortable with them instantly! When we got home the apartment was clean and tidy, we were both very impressed. Would definitely recommend Barry and Jessica to house sit and would have them back in a heartbeat☺️

We had Maarten-Dolf stay at our house in Greece for 10 days to take care of our home and our three dogs. We are grateful for Maarten's efforts in keeping the house in good order and ensuring our dogs were well-fed and safe during our absence. Overall, we appreciate Maarten's contribution and hope this feedback is helpful for future house-sitting experiences.

Pavol and Sorcha have been outstanding sitters 💥. They took care of our beloved Poldo as he was their own, we found our diabetic cat happy, in health and very reactive. Maybe only a bit sad that his new friends had left. The house was perfectly clean, in order with the laundry done and folded. I have to thank them because they also took the time to water the plants that would have died otherwise. Totally independent, kind, caring, they sent us daily updates on Poldo and left us a "welcome back home gift". How nice is that? I really recommend them as sitters, and we would love to have them back in Milano if they like.

If you get an opportunity to have Wim & Edy stay and look after your fur babies and home do not miss the chance; they are by their very nature amongst two of the kindest, gentlest people we have met through zeewoi in fact it is fair to say, ever. Our dogs, Crazy Maisie and Ollie Dog, immediately took to their kindness and warmth and were very relaxed and happy in their company. The dogs have most certainly missed them since they left. Their beautiful, gentle dog Pomme joined them during the sit and despite Maisie being a young playful pup, Pomme tolerated her very well and they all enjoyed walks together. Communication was always clear between us and they responded promptly with any questions we had. They sent regular photos and updates of the dogs something I found very reassuring. The house was immaculate on our return and everything was in its place or as we left it. We even had a beautiful apple & raisin tart baked for us to share when we got home. I cannot rate this Wim and Edy highly enough. They are a very thoughtful and exceptionally interesting and talented couple - hearing about Wim's ink pen craft out of ancient wood and Edy's charity work and art work was fascinating. Our lives have most certainly been enriched by meeting them. We very much hope to keep in contact with them and will most certainly use them again. Ludmila has shown herself responsible and interested in Boni's habits and the care and attention she had to provide her. It has been easy to communicate with her and she has been informing us and sending us photos and videos of our kitten. On the other hand, she has taken care of our house and we have found it clean and tidy.

After a quick meet with Koen and Wilke before our trip away we felt comfortable and happy leaving Penny, and our home, in their care. They gave us regular 'pupdates' reassuring us that Penny was happy and settled in our absence. We came home to a happy dog and a clean and tidy house. All the bed linen and towels used over their stay were washed and dried too! Penny would be very happy for them to visit again!! Thank you for ensuring our first time away using Zeewoi was such a good experience!

It was a real pleasure to have Marijke stay. A very competent house sitter, she’d be welcome back any time. She hit it off with Mylor my Labrador from the onset and I was updated with pics of their adventures throughout the three weeks, which was great. The house was left tidy and it was nice to be able to spend some time getting to know her. An interesting engaging, trustworthy person, I would highly recommend her. Thank you Marijke.

Manuela is a very sweet girl. She is social and kind to others. She helped my parents a lot (who live next door) and my mother really was a great fan of her. So she has good social skills. Manuela uses this site so she can find a place to stay, while she is looking for a job in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe. While she was staying in NL, she was following a study at the University. All that of course is not a problem at all; I realize that a lot of people here are using this site to find free or cheap accomodation. However this is a pet site, so the reliability and the quality of the petsitting should be the primary focus. 10 days before the sitting would take place, she informed me that she wouldn't be able to be present during the entire sit due to an in-person conference at the university that would last for a week. Of course this was less then ideal to me but since it was impossible to find another petsitter on such a short notice I went out of my way to find a replacement, and decided to pursue with her as my petsitter. However, half way during her stay she mentioned she would be gone for another week to do her exams at the university. So out of the entire month, she was only present for 50% of it. I had to make sure that I could find a replacement again. Luckily my stepdad was willing to take the care upon him. My pets are my babies so it is super important for me that the petsitter who applies for a period, actually is there the entire period. One of my cats, Frances was not eating well during her stay at my house. Of course that can happen; animals can get sick any time and that doesn't need to be a result of the care. However, my stepdad told me that the bowls in where the cats got their food in, were not clean and got dirty and even mold in it. When he stepped in and cleaned the bowls, Frances started eating again and after a couple of days he was back on his normal eating pattern. Another incident was with the rabbits, I gave her a manual in where I explicitly told her which veggies to give the rabbits and which not. I was not amused to see that she had fed them an entire plate of cut up carrots, while I had told her that they could only have a little piece of a carrot per day. My rabbits have supersensitive intestines and quickly to get gas problems. Carrots have a lot of sugar, so an entire plate can cause problems. Manuela did apply requests I made during my stay abroad; she did apply a spray against flies, when I asked her to and even washed one of the bunnies when that needed to happen. When I came home, I had to do some cleaning. Manuela hadn't noticed that the cats had been spraying on different places, including the kitchen counter and kitchen walls and cabinets. The state of the house was less important to me; I did notice she had cleaned the rabbit area very well so I was happy about that. I think Manuela did her best but just is a bit more casual about things then I would be.

Romi and Cees had excellent communication prior to our sit and this included a video call. They arrived as planned and were cheerful and attentive to our instructions and showed a great disposition to our dogs and home. They communicated during the sit which was reassuring to us. On our return the house was clean and tidy as we had left it. I recommend them. Cindy also told them if they need a bed for a night or 2 during their trip to the Uk they are welcome.

We couldn't have wished for more! Sarah was an amazing sitter and I wouldn't hesitate in asking her to sit for us again. From initial meeting, she responded really quickly to messages and asked lots of important, key questions so that we felt totally secure. One of our dogs needs tablets for a heart condition and she was very careful to ensure she had all the right information re his care. As dogs who are never at home alone for too long, Sarah gave them loads of love and attention, sent us regular photos and videos, and on our arrival home, it was clear how much they loved her. We felt a bit jealous! We would love to have Sarah sit for us again.

Corina, Patrick and Jade were perfect housesitters. They gave the animals so much love and care and kept the house clean and tidy. They sent us photos of the animals and what they were doing. Jade was wonderful with Teddy our dog and possible gave even more cuddles than my own daughter does! We would welcome Corina and family back any time. xx
