It’s a real pleasure to write this review for Heike & Benno. We consider ourselves very lucky and so grateful for the trust they gave us in our first sitting. They were from the beginning very communicative and as soon as we got there, they made sure we felt comfortable and settled in their house. Their house could not have been more well equipped. We stayed most of the time in the house working and cooking our own meals, and we never felt short of anything. Corrie and Spooky really stole our hearts. We could not have asked for better companions for the month we spent in the house. They are the most sweet, very low maintenance and very well behaved dogs. By day 3 or 4 they were already completely used to us and always laying next to us in the house wherever we were. It is an impossible challenge to not have your heart all warmed up when you see how happy they are once you get back home after being away. They are also very easy in their walks (even when going as one person) and the neighborhood around the house is very safe, even at night. Overall we could not be more thankful for the experience we had and the only bad part was having to say goodbye to Corrie and Spooky. We also really hope to cross path with Heike and Benno again in the future and we are sure that you will have a great experience making a house sitting with them!
Xavier and Arola are great people, and very easy going. We loved looking after their 4 horses and the chickens, who are all very friendly and well behaved. Feeding and the daily chores were easy to manage and, as the property is a decent size, we got to enjoy our little walks checking the horses in the fields and the fencing. It’s a charming location with several buildings that have been rebuilt with traditional materials. The guesthouse we stayed in had a nice feel to it with rustic features and even had a fire place. If you like a bit of peace and quiet, you’ll love the place. Great for trail running and yoga, too. Xavier did a great handover and showed & explained everything. Communication was always clear and easy, before and during our stay. We would do it again!
This was a lovely and relaxing sit in a beautiful and tranquil village near Petersfield. Bertie and Daisy became my best doggie friends and seemed to enjoy our walks. The village church is just gorgeous and it a must visit site. The well equipped kitchen was fun to cook in and I especially enjoyed the log burner in the sitting room. Richard and Emma welcomed me with a great lunch and some thorough instructions. I hope I will be invited back for another sit and encourage any folks who have a car to accept a sit here!!!
