Carolina was great and very welcoming! Leon and Mochi are very sweet -- don't be alarmed if Leon spends the majority of the first few days hiding under the bed. They are quite easy to take care of and are often happy to play. The location of Carolina's apartment is very central. I would highly recommend this sit, and would be happy to return any time!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our housesit for Barbara and Stan! It was helpful to arrive the afternoon before they left to meet the dogs and spend time getting to know Barbara and Stan over an evening meal. Their home is beautiful, immaculately clean, and has a large kitchen with anything necessary if you love to cook. The neighborhood is on a golf course and has a wonderful shaded walking trail at Rockwood Park, within the community to take the dogs for a walk. Our bed was so comfortable and we had our oun ensuite bathroom. We spent a lot of time in the outdoor space and enjoyed their gorgeous pool. A very helpful welcome guide was provided including the name of a neighbor if needed. Barbara and Stan were very accomodating, allowing us to leave before they arrived home so we could get on the road before dark. Barbara was responsive to texts and was communicative prior to the sit as well. They are such kind individuals and made us feel so welcome in their home. Gracie and Tucker are so easy to love and it was difficult to leave when our sit came to an end. Gracie is eager to please and loves to be outside with you on the outdoor patio. She is excitable about noises and will alert you when someone is nearby. Gracie loves her morning and evening walks, especially going on the golf cart to get there! Any and all attention and belly rubs are welcome. She picked my husband as her "person" and Tucker selected me. Tucker often jumped onto my lap and followed me around, usually just wanted to see what I was doing. He LOVES feeding time and will try to convince you to feed him early...and it was difficult not to fall for his pleading eyes. At night, they slept in our bedroom, Tucker in his crate and Gracie in her bed on the floor. We really enjoyed our time taking care of them! Both of these pups are a joy to care for and we would love to come back again!

Absolutely adore this doggy daycare. First, kudos to them for their required human tour. Aspens been to several doggy daycares and NEVER have I seen the inside of one. Our tour was at 10-11am, so there were already dozens of dogs there. The facilities are so beautiful, clean, and organized, AND they are staffed 24/7! I am obsessed! They are incredibly attentive to the dogs and truly seem to love their jobs. I’m very happy with my decision to move Aspen to Toby Town. They work with my crazy EMS hours on the weekend, allowing Aspen to be dropped off early for a small fee. They also have pools for the water lovers, like Aspen, which is so fun for her. I’m so happy with Toby Town and am thrilled to have found her such a caring, compassionate, and safe daycare!
Our pup has had a great time here and comes home exhausted. They offer amenities that can make your life easier (baths, etc). Place runs like a well oiled machine and go in get plenty of pics at the end of the day!
Tobytown is by far the BEST daycare and boarding facility in Richmond, VA. Gloria and her staff truly care about the dogs and their safety and comfort. It is the ONLY dog care facility you can walk in that does not smell AT ALL! No odor in any room or outdoor area. We leave our dog for long stays and he comes home happy and healthy. Tobytown posts lots of facebook and IG pictures to see how your dog is doing for daycare and lengthy stays. We appreciate Tobytown so much!
Our 12 year old adapted Labrador, Bogey, loves Toby Town! Every time he comes home he can't stop talking about what a wonderful stay he had and how kind and attentive all of the staff members were to him. He loves the amenities, the indoor and outdoor play areas, the optional snacks and the overall cleanliness. Suffice to say, if Bogey is happy, we are happy with Toby Town!
My husband and I bring our boy Murphy to Toby Town once a week. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. He always looks SO happy and as soon as he sees where we are going in the morning, he is crying out of excitement. I feel bad for the morning worker (I’m so sorry!) who grabs him because he is literally a wild man jumping out of the car to go play. Every worker is incredibly kind and really care about your dog. Best day care ever! Every single staff member works hard to cater to your dogs needs. My dog Charlie absolutely loves it. He has a little bit of separation anxiety and they care for him so well. They are friendly during pick up and drop off and they will work with you on times and days! Toby Town is kind, friendly, clean and safe for your dog. I wish I could give every staff member a hug because they take care of my dog so well. I am so thankful I found Toby Town! Absolutely Amazing!
I have small dogs and was a daycare novice prior to Toby Town. With a new puppy I wanted to make sure she was socialized so I began looking at daycares for her. After visiting several facilities I chose Toby Town because it was clean, bright and seemed to be staffed with grown ups. I liked that they didn't use crates and seemed to want to meet the needs of the pups first vs the needs of the facility. Having my puppy at Toby Town has been a great experience- the staff is consistent and communicative, and I feel like they keep an eye on her (as she's only 8 lbs). Quite honestly, she is the best dog and people socialized of my pack and I feel I have Toby Town to thank for that.
Best dog daycare in the area!!! We have tried several dog boarding options, and we believe Toby town has the most personal care and is the best value for what you pay. I don’t know how they have collected so many wonderful staff members, but we enjoy all our interactions with the employees and owner!! They remember my dog Wally and talk about how it went at the end of the weekend.
The staff at Toby Town are fabulous. My pup loves spending the day or several nights at Toby Town, and I always know she'll get great care. It's a great place to take your dog for day care and boarding.
Toby Town is amazing! My dog Titan loves to go there and they take great care of him. The place is beautiful and cleaner than any human day care center!! Gloria, the owner, treats my dog as if he were her own. I wouldn't hesitate to board him there because someone is always there to watch out for him. I can't recommend this facility enough!
GREAT experience! Caren walked our rambunctious puppy while we were out of town and he LOVED it!! I think he’s better behaved now than when we left:-)! Caren sent us updates twice a day with pictures and he was smiling in all of them;-)!! We will definitely use Caren again and I would highly recommend The Collar Club of Virginia. Caren is trustworthy, extremely professional and loves what she does!!!
Caren is the absolute best!! I hate leaving my dog with anyone because he’s been know to escape and I really can’t relax on vacation knowing this. Caren came over to do a walk through and introduction. She was so kind, professional and had everything you’d ever imagine needing from a dog walker/sitter. I was so at ease leaving our dog with Caren (she stayed at our house overnight and came do 3x visits throughout the day). Caren sends videos, photos and updates all day long and is very thorough if she has any questions about daily habits and routine. I didn’t worry once about our dog while he was being watched by Caren and that never happens! Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else. Collar Club of Virginia is A+++
Our family has a cat named George we love dearly. The children and I recently took a two week vacation and did not want to leave George in a boarding kennel or with friends or neighbors for that length of time. Having The Collar Club of Virginia come into our home was so much better and without a doubt I know that George was lovingly looked after. When Caren came over to meet George for the first time, he immediately took to her and she was so sweet to him. George is a cat who needs a lot of attention. Caren recognized that immediately and went right to his basket of toys. She was excellent from the start - Caren is beyond reliable, dependable and qualified. She sent us pictures of George while we were away with little notes letting us know how he was doing. She brought in our papers and adjusted the lights each day, took out our trash and even coordinated with a serviceman for some plumbing work while we were gone. Our home looked exactly the same as it did before we left it. Caren is the consummate professional but with the biggest heart for animals. I highly recommend The Collar Club of Virginia! Caren is professional, kind, goes the extra mile for a wonderful experience for BOTH human and pet ! When we needed help transporting 2 kittens that we had adopted online to our home from the airport, Caren helped us out enormously! There were some issues with picking up the kittens, but Caren handled them very professionally and kindly. She was prompt, attentive, and very loving towards our kittens. Caren has been a wonderful person to work with since we first met her and has been our go-to person for our pet-sitting needs! She came to our home to meet our pets before her first time sitting them, and made sure she understood all of their needs. When watching our pets she is easy to get into contact with and keeps us updated after each visit. I feel like I can not only trust her to take great care of our pets, but to also go above and beyond when we need it!
Caren is a professional. Absolutely reliable - she goes above and beyond. My 16 year old kitty takes insulin shots twice a day and requires extra TLC. Caren handled this with ease. I felt absolutely comfortable knowing that my kitty and my dog were safe and loved while we were away. Highly recommend!

Caren is such a kind person and cares endlessly for animals. We enlisted Caren to care for our golden retriever Mosby for 2.5 days. We did one over night stay and twice daily walks. She constantly updated us with photos and comments on what he was up to. As first time customers she gave Mosby a couple of toys and even went through lengthy research to tell us the best vet in town (we are new to Richmond).
