Joseph took care of our cat and house-sat for us for 2 weeks. In advance of our trip, we were able to do both a virtual and in-person meet and greet to ensure everyone felt comfortable and do a walk through of the house, which we really appreciated. While we were away, Joseph responded quickly to texts/any questions we sent and provided photo and text updates every 1-2 days. Upon our return, our cat seemed happy. Unfortunately, the day of our return, Joseph accidentally locked himself out of our house. He communicated with us and we were able to provide him access to a backup key. However, when we returned home about an hour and a quarter later, we were surprised to find that he was still there (he was supposed to have left much earlier in the day before we arrived home, and we knew he was running a little behind because of the lockout, but he didn’t tell us he would still be there when we walked in). He texted us that the house was clean and ready for us, but unfortunately the house was not clean and the cat litter boxes were quite smelly and appeared not to have been changed or scooped in many days. While we realize that getting locked out of the house created some delays in getting packed and tidying the house, we were upset to find the kitty litter in that state and for the clear disorganization, at least in the final day. We provided this feedback directly to Joseph and hope that this was a one-time experience. However, we would urge clear communication around any expectations for cleaning, communication, and care.

Jennifer is awesome. She is communicative, curious, reliable, kind and upbeat. I really enjoyed getting to know her a bit and she was in touch frequently to let me know how Dottie and Scout were doing. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent housesitter.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Crispy, a Chihuahua and terrier mix, for 11 days. There was a brief adjustment period as we learned about Crispy's preferences and routine—like his dislike for other dogs, a back injury that required medication, and his desire for companionship at night. After the first night or two of adjusting, we found our rhythm, everything went smoothly and it turned out to be a lovely house / pet sit experience.

Crispy is an incredibly entertaining dog with adorable, unique quirks. The way he would sway his nose back and forth in circles before finally eating his chicken was absolutely charming. He also preferred to be escorted to the efficient interior bathroom astro turf area a few times a day, which became a bonding experience for us. I’m really going to miss that little guy.

The location was perfect, with museums, bike trails, Whole Foods, and parks close by, making it easy to enjoy the surroundings. The spacious, well-lit parking lot was a great perk, and the office staff on the first floor were truly the nicest people on the planet.

The apartment itself was beautiful, clean, and well-supplied, in a gorgeous restored historic highschool building -- with high ceilings and huge windows wrapped around the open living room/kitchen area, with views out to trees, sunrise and sunset. Justin and Andrea were super responsive to any questions I had. I loved this sit and cherish the opportunity to have met them all.

Shelagh
This was a wonderful sit, from the moment we arrived at Shelagh’s lovely home just outside Crieff, we were made to feel very welcome. The house is extremely comfortable, provides everything a sitter could want and is situated in an idyllic rural location with a large garden and a myriad of walks straight from the door, into the Perthshire countryside.
The stars of the show are Tatu & Tisa, who have very different personalities. Tatu the older dog is very relaxed, wants to be near you and just loves his food, typical labrador. Tisa is the mischievous one and he knows it! He is always wagging his tail and fetching his toys for you to play with him.
We heartily recommend this sit and would love to look after them again in the future.

Communication beforehand was frequent and very friendly.

As a matter of fact, this sit, however, did not really happen... (So we only got to see the large conservatory/kitchen and the garden along the river Tavy).
Due to a new puppy unexpectedly arriving just before the agreed sit, Izzy chose to stay home after all to make the
transition for the 2 dogs smooth - and rightly so! Fully understand and I would have done the same thing.

Having flights booked and looking forward to another stay in England, we happily agreed to Izzy's suggestion to take
a vacation instead (meeting the dogs anyway) - she was even prepared to pay for our accommodation! We did accept her kind offer for the time we spent in lovely Tavistock, spending the rest of our time at Plymouth at our own expense.
It turned out a very nice experience - Izzy is a very nice, easy going young woman who truly loves her dogs who are a treat:
Benji, the friendly but bouncy GSD is well-trained and 11 week-old Willow, a big and heavy puppy, is quite chilled for her age and very gentle. I enjoyed her company a few
times while Izzy took the Shepherd out for a longer walk.
We also all went on a lovely riverside walk together, the
puppy being carried either by Izzy or me (not fully vaccinated yet).
We have to thank Izzy for being so generous, spending time with us and taking us to the supermarket as well as
to Plymouth by car.
As promised, we would love to welcome her (and her boyfriend) at our home in the south of France any time
they can make it!

An absolutely delightful sit. Puppy Lucifer is such a lovebug that I didn’t want to leave! Sweet little dog, two easy and friendly kitties, and a stunningly beautiful property. Tom and Pat are so kind and so easy. I’d love to sit for them again. Did I mention I miss Lucifer? Xoxo

Julie is an excellent host. Her home is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. We were able to enjoy the swimming pools (all three!), ferry ride to the private beach and fitness room. Captain Jack is the absolute sweetest fur baby, we loved getting to cuddle with him on our laps and in bed at night. We enjoyed our leisurely adventurous walks with Jack hunting for geckos, he kept us laughing. We would love the opportunity to spend time with Jack again.

We had a lovely time sitting for the Vienna crew. Morty was the sweetest boy, and could not be more easy going. He loved his walks and everyone he encountered loved him. We were told that we probably would not see the cats very much, but we saw a lot of them. Tardis could always be found in the living room or on the deck. Bobbi was outgoing, chatty, and very snuggly; she kind of stole the show. Based on prior reviews, it sounds like a coin toss on if the cats will come out of hiding when you are there. We're enjoyed having them around.

The apartment was perfect. Dobling is such a quiet neighborhood, I can't think of anywhere that we have been that has felt safer. We rode the public transportation every day, mainly utilizing the 35A bus that picks up right outside the house. We recommend riding that same bus route away from town when you get the chance because there are some beautiful wineries just a few stops up the road.

The humans were good too! Lauren and Chad met us the day before to give us a key and to show us the ropes. They stayed in touch during the sit and were quick to reply when we had questions.
