This is a large and comfortable home in a lovely, quiet residential area of Melbourne, with excellent small shops and restaurants within very easy walking distance. Iggy’s favourite activity is to go to the local dog park which is close to the house. He is a very sociable dog and he has lots of friends at the park where he enjoys a good run. We took him there twice a day most days, except when it was raining and then we just had a walk around the immediate neighbourhood. Iggy is generally well-behaved and easy-going and follows instructions. He is also strong and sometimes a bit stubborn when testing a new dog-sitter :-) Jiminy, a gorgeously soft Burmese cat, is very easy to care for, and sleeps most of the day and loves to snuggle on the bed anytime the opportunity arises - although both Iggy and Jiminy sleep downstairs at night. My partner and I spent six weeks keeping Iggy and Jiminy company.
Highly recommend!
We had lovely relaxing sit with Dexter, a sweet dog who is delightful company on walks or visits to coffee shops or restaurants. Dexter needs a number of medications to keep him healthy but he is, by far, the easiest patient we've met. He also has an incredible internal clock that knows exactly when the next food or medicine is required. He will travel easily in your car so taking him out and about is a pleasure. Rae and Dave are lovely people and very kind and generous hosts. All their instructions about Dexter and the house were excellent and communication was perfect. Their comfortable home is just a few minutes walk from the centre of the historic town of Falkland. There is plenty there, and close by, to keep you entertained and within easy driving distance there are also interesting many places to visit. Dunfermline and St Andrews to name but two. We highly recommend this sit in the beautiful Kingdom of Fife and we would be delighted to return.
We thoroughly enjoyed this housesit with five entertaining rescue cats - all such different personalities but they get along amazingly well. The house is in a perfect position a short walk from town & has a beautiful tranquil garden. Sue was so welcoming, easygoing and a huge help with our travel plans - we were instant friends. Rossland is a lovely friendly town with lots of great hikes within a short drive. We miss the furry gang & hope to catch up with Sue again.
Staying in Fiona’s house is once in a lifetime experience. It is so grateful to have the opportunity to stay there with a super comfortable bed and quietness. Tessy is super energetic and playful, a very good companion to explore the beautiful surroundings together for a long walk. We walked more than 10 miles in a day and she wouldn’t have a sign of tiredness. I would be very happy to go back to Ford and see Tessy and Fiona again.
This was the best petsit we have done! Hans and Cathy are easy-going helpful and warm-hearted people who made us feel welcome into their home and supported us to best take care of it and their three adorable fur babies. We loved spending time with QT, Hetty and Barry to a point that we have not even left the house besides grocery-shopping. When it comes to the babies, QT is a big girl with a personality of a chihuahua. She woke us up with her wet nose in the mornings, excited to eat and go out, and in the evenings, she enjoyed cuddles when we were having movie&dinner time in the living room. Hetty, eldest of the three, is a calm princess who prefers to do things on her terms and time. She was the easiest to look after as she knew the routine well and had her preferred ways to do it. We adored her majestic and royal presence, and enjoyed giving her pets on the head and her smooth fur. Barry, the adorable playful goofball, has a personality that made us smile all the time. His eyes were always looking after us when we were in another room or the garden, and he would give us the cutest and widest smile every time he saw us. He surely stole our hearts from the first moment we met him, and we think we stole his as he easily got used to us and started to fall asleep a minute into getting pets from us. We had difficulty saying goodbye to QT, Hetty and Barry. We feel very lucky that we got the chance to know and petsit them and also get to know kind-hearted people like Hans and Cathy. We hope to see them again and hope the best for this amazing family in the future!
