Great short but lovely stay at Alexandra's! House is perfectly located close to the tube, parks and all the necessary amenities! Alexandra was always at the end of the phone to answer any questions we had. India was nervous at first but more confident to come and say hello and sit with us on the 2nd day so as we were only there for a weekend I'm sure she would be more present if around for a weeks stay! Great sit and host- thanks again!
This sit was unfortunately not a great experience. I felt uncomfortable with this host. One example is, the communication started out nicely, but the hosts behavior could quickly get abrasive and condescending when I asked for basic information so I could be prepared for the sit. I felt treated like staff and when I re-asserted more healthy dynamics, Amer felt the need to retaliate with a ranting, incoherent and unfair review. The cat is very adorable, a joy to be around and his medical condition is easy to manage, for which Amer provided clear instructions. The flat is spacious, modern and in a great location. While it wasn't the right sit for me, this might work for someone else!
It was a pleasure meeting Lorena and John. They introduced us to the kitties and then showed us around the house and went over everything. They did a great job of communicating what needed to be done while they were away enjoying their vacation. We had a wonderful dinner with them and their lovely daughter Lisa, before they left. Mer and Koko Taylor are very loving and oh so sweet. After just a few days they were cuddling up to us and begging for attention. They hung out with us on the patio and loved just sitting around relaxing. No matter where we were in the house, they were with us. It was hard to say goodbye to these two special cats. What an incredible place to get away! Their magnificent home is set back from the street and very private. It has beautiful mountain views and a gorgeous back patio. The guest bedroom and bath are very nice. The kitchen is every cook’s dream. You’ll feel comfortable the minute you walk through the beautiful front door. There are so many things to see and do within short driving distance of the house. Downtown Santa Fe is nearby with unlimited shopping and great restaurants. You won’t run out of places to explore. The max thumbs up for sits is five - we give this sit 10 thumbs up and hope we are lucky enough to get to sit for Lorena and John again. We had a lovely weekend in Maya’s home! The house is in a quiet neighbourhood close to a bus stop that takes you to the train station. There is a dog park nearby and lots of green areas to go on a walk! Maya was kind and helpful from the start, she gave us all the information we needed and also recomended us great destinations to visit! Stark is a really easy and good behaved dog, he is a gentle giant! We had a lot of great walks and we made an amazing bond with him! Hoping to see him in the future again!
We absolutely LOVED watching Cinders in Nicola's beautiful home! We had fair warning that Cinders is starting to show signs of dementia and may disturb our sleep, and video chatted with Nicola a few days in advance to learn more about Cinders' routine and needs. Her medication was very easy to administer, and we are happy to report that the new nighttime routine Nicola and Cinders have been working on was a success! We all slept very well! We were welcomed into Nicola's very spacious, clean, and comfortable flat with tasty local chocolates. Nicola was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. The flat had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including stunning morning mountain sunrises that can be enjoyed from the balcony. Cinders is very independent and easy to care for. Nicola's flat is easily accessible, with nearby buses and trains to allow for several day trips. The flat had plenty of kitchen space to be able to prepare meals after shopping at one of two nearby grocery stores (Aldi or Coop). After packing lunch and heading out on a day trip, it was wonderful to come back to Cinders, who was eager to curl up in bed and read with us until we fell asleep, before heading to her own room. We are so grateful that Nicola invited us into her home, as this was a truly amazing experience 💖
I enjoyed my time with poppin, Tobias, and Fenno. Kristi’s house is spacious, beautiful, and extremely comfortable. All the information and tips about the neighborhood were shared with me, kristi was extremely proactive allowing me to enjoy every moment of the Sit. There is one of the most beautiful parks of Barcelona 2 min from the house I’m looking forward to sitting for her again.
