Cat Sitters in Dunkeswell

Sarah was an excellent sitter for us. Efficient, friendly, calm & wonderful with Kasper our Labrador. It was a short sit...only a weekend, but it was the first time Kasper has been left with a stranger since we lost our other dog & his companion. Sarah fully understood the need for him to be spoilt & thoroughly entertained, and the pics she sent us whilst we were away totally reassured us that he was indeed her priority and he was very content. The house was left immaculate on our return & Kasper was happy and exhausted. We would absolutely recommend Sarah to others & would love to have her back to stay sometime in the future.

We loved having Angela and her family staying with us, along with their kind dog. They organised to meet with us and Tuppence day before arrival and we felt very confident leaving Tuppence with them the day after. When we got back the house was so clean and sheets had been washed and replaced and most importantly Tuppence looked so healthy. We would very happily have them all back and hope they will available next time we are going away!

Highly recommend. Ruth & Roderick took such great care of my home, and me by association, you'd think I was a cherished member of the family. :D They are most pleasant to interact with. They communicated regularly, kept me informed and were entirely flexible with dates, in case my return was compromised due to winter weather.

Claire and Stephen were the perfect house sitters. They were entirely self sufficient, sensitive to our requirements, very good at keeping us informed / sharing photos and finally, hugely flexible when circumstances unexpectedly changed towards the end of their sit. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Sally stayed for three weeks while we were away in Europe and she looked after our dog and hamster. I really appreciated Sally offering to meet up a few weeks before the housesit, to meet the animals and to go through details (this was possible because she was staying nearby). She clearly bonded with our dog and quickly got into a routine of walking her morning and late afternoon. She kept us informed about the animals' wellbeing and communicated promptly to us about issues so we could help resolve them. The house was clean and tidy on our return and both animals seemed happy. The house plants were thriving and the garden too. Sally is a very reliable housesitter and I would fully trust her to look after our dog, hamster and house again.

Isabelle and James were true to their word, they left the house clean and tidy as they found it, they were polite and kept me updated with how the cats were getting on. I have no problem recommending them to future house sitters.

I am leaving a good review as very impressed with jim and his wife when we met. Unfortunately i had to cancel their housesit as i am recovering from an operation and recovery was much slower than expected so we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at home.

This was Sandi’s second sit so she knew the ropes this time and it was very easy and straightforward to arrange everything. As before she was extremely easy to communicate with and very organised. Sandi was really flexible and kind in accommodating my travel plans so that we could have a hand over at either side of my trip. She was very self sufficient during the stay and left the house spotless and Sophie was very happy. Sandi even left us some jigsaw puzzles to have a go at after she’d finished them. ☺️. Hopefully we’ll be able to welcome Sandi again soon.

I think Rosemary was a bit disappointed that we had decided to take the dogs with us, as she was looking forward to looking after them. She took great care of the cats in the dog’s absence anyway and left the place tidy with the bedding washed.

Kathryn was a great sitter for our kitten. She communicated really well beforehand about travel arrangements and kept us informed about Juniper including photos. Juniper was obviously well looked after. Flat was immaculate and she’d kindly put sheets into wash before leaving. Happily recommend her and would welcome her anytime.

Well what can I say, ours dogs absolutely loved Julie and Marcus from the moment they walked through the door. We quickly felt confident that we were leaving everything in safe hands, particularly as Herbert needed extra monitoring due to an injury he was recovering from. It was great to be regularly updated with info and some lovely pictures of them looking very content. We really appreciated returning to a tidy, calm house and two very happy dogs, Julie are Marcus are fabulous sitters, who know what they are doing and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Steve and Sally went above and beyond in taking care of our home and Inspector Brinx while we were away. Steve sent daily photos with great captions. Brinx took to them immediately and was completely calm when we returned home. True cat whisperers. We can’t thank Steve and Sally enough for being such great house/pet sitters.
