Beth and Matthew have been my first house sitters - and I was their first house sit too. Beth and Matthew have been great. I was a little nervous as this was the first time I've the zeewoi platform and service. Beth contacted me to let me know that one of my dogs had a sore on her chest and sent me a video to let me see and decide what to do. We agreed my dog needed to be seen by a vet and within a few hours my dog had antibiotics. Beth even popped into a shop to buy my dog a jumper to wear as the vet had recommended this to stop her scratching the sore. When I got home Beth had washed all their bedding and the house was clean and tidy. Both Beth and Matthew are a lovely couple and I would definitely recommend them both if you are looking for reliable and trustworthy house and pet sitters.
Erica was great! Easy to communicate with and very self -sufficient when we ended up being out of service for several days. Pingo and the house were clearly in good hands, we came back to a spotless house with a freshly made bed and a happy dog. We'd definitely have Erica again!
I am so grateful to Victoria for taking such wonderful care of my elder cats,, Zoe and Mischief, my home and my garden! This was my first time using zeewoi. Not only did I have to prepare my home for a guest but prepare myself for leaving my boys with someone I had only met through a zoom call. Right away, I was put at ease as Sharon just gravitated right to my boys. She asked questions about info that I had missed in my welcome pack that made me rest assured that she was on the ball. Throughout my trip, Sharon kept in touch with me about how the boys were getting along... I was so relieved hearing that their usual playful selves was apparent. Given that our flight home was going to be late, she insisted on waiting until we were heading out of the airport before leaving the boys with their last walk until we came home. When we walked through our front door, the boys were chilling out, our home was spotless, and she even washed the bedding. I can recommend Sharon with 100% certainty that your pets will be in great hands. Thanks Sharon for everything.
Jaclyn was a wonderful sitter for our dog Tucker! She was always quick to respond to communications, she was easy-going and excited to sit with Tucker, she shared updates (with pictures) while we were away, and she left our house cleaner than when we left - she even ran the dishwasher, which we forgot to do before we left! She and Tucker bonded immediately, and when we returned home it was clear that he had a great time with Jaclyn. We can't recommend her highly enough!
I can’t say enough good things about Felicia! She was willing to come over ahead of time so we could meet her. Lele took an instant liking to her (and I think it was mutual).😁 Felicia showed up on time, checked in on a regular basis while I was away, and sent photos of Lele, too. I tend to over prepare, and Felicia was accepting of that and helped me feel okay about my preparation and absence. I felt very comfortable leaving, knowing the most important thing, Lele, was well taken care of. This is my first time using zeewoi, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Felicia far exceeded all of my hopes and expectations. I would absolutely love to have Felicia come back again!
I am so glad that my cat, Duque, and I met Sharon! She is a wonderful person, very kind with pets, thorough with house care and communicative. Sharon's cleaning (and brownies!) went above and beyond and my cat did not seem to have missed me much when I got home. I recommend Sharon if she applies for your sit and we hope to welcome her back to our home one day.
Julie and Adrian were ideal pet and house sitters. Julie and Damian are very friendly and made sure to go over details and ask questions when they arrived. We came home to very happy and contented pets. Our dog and cat clearly got lots of love and attention (also clear from the great photos that Julie and Adrian sent us). The house was immaculate when we came home. We could not ask for better, more trusted, house sitters.
Although they are experienced pet sitters this was their first sit with zeewoi and they were wonderful. Jyoti (our cat) was completely at ease and spent plenty of time on their laps. The chickens were well looked after and they managed the broody one efficiently. Excellent communication before and during the house sit. They followed our detailed instructions conscientiously and left the house clean and tidy. They cooked a meal for us on our return and we enjoyed getting to know them. We would welcome them back any time and highly recommend them for future sits.

My troublesome terrier, Eddie, has been going to Waggy since January 2023. It's such a relief to know he is happy, safe, and having fun while I'm at work. He The staff are wonderful and treat every dog as an individual, respecting their boundaries. They offer a pick up and drop off service. I use the drop off service and it's great as I don't drive and would have to change my work hours to be able to pick him up myself via the bus. They also offer a grooming service on-site which is also very handy. Eddie loves going, he sings an 'arrival song' (very loudly) as soon as we get through the door. I honestly cannot praise the staff enough. Never mind 5 stars, they deserve 500!
Took my cockerpoo here for a groom after a traumatic groom elsewhere due to severe matting. Anna was amazing from start to finish- we communicated on text messaging and she answered my questions and had such a positive, calming manner, and was more than willing to help. On the day of the groom she suggested I bring in dog treats, favourite toys etc to make the experience as easy as possible for my dog. The groom is amazing, and I can’t thank Anna and the team enough for understanding our situation and really helping my dog to feel at ease. We won’t be going anywhere else
Our Yorkshire Terrier Alfie spent two days at the Waggy Dog Crèche whilst we visited York on a short holiday. We wanted to take our dog away with us and Vanessa and her team were wonderful. He clearly enjoyed his days there and I highly recommend the Waggy Dog Crèche and doggy day care in general to help your dog socialise whilst having a good time in a safe environment.
Recommend. Our labrador Timmy goes for 1 day a week and absolutely loves it ❤. Has really gained in confidence with socialising with so many other dogs Rushes to get in and always happy and tired when we pick him up. Lovely team of people and completely trust them to take good care of our dog 🐕
Visiting the area while on holiday from Scotland. Contacted the waggy dog creche a good few weeks ago to see if they could help by having our 2 1/2 year old labrador for a day while we visited the non dog friendly sights in York. We got a quick response advising us of the criteria, documentation and vaccines etc that our dog needed to fulfil before he could be accepted even for a day. Vanessa was super hopeful and accommodating at every step. Fergus our labrador was literally smiling when we picked him up and had clearly enjoyed his day. I would thoroughly recommend The Waggy Dog Creche and we will wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Just back from holiday to York with our dog Buddy. Waggy Dog Creche is an excellent facility with great staff who ensured Buddy had great fun the days we visited Jorvik and York Dungeon. They are very centrally located and are 2minutes away from Grimston Park and ride. If you plan to use Waggy Tails for your holiday toYork make sure to contact them a couple of months before your visit so they can complete the necessary screening documents so your dog can visit
We have our rather grumpy dog groomed here and the staff look after him and do a fantastic job.
I have taken my shih tzu for grooming for 3 years and she loves it. So keep going.thank you for the help.

My 3 x Miniature Dachshunds have just spent a week there whilst i have just had a much needed week away after a not so good 7 months. I was contacted during this week with lots of videos of my 3 playing with the girls and looking very happy. It put my mind at ease even though i already knew they would get the best care. My oldest Dachshund is now Diabetic & also has Cushings disease. It wasn't a problem for trained staff to administer his medication twice daily. Lovely clean environment. Excellent staff Great communication I was able to take my Dachshunds to the room they was allocated and put their things just how they like them at home. Thank You very much to you Martin & your amazing staff.
We have recently had a wonderful experience using Top Dog Kennels for the first time for our precious (and rather needy!) boxers Reggie & Lottie. We were extremely nervous so being able to visit with them prior to our stay was a godsend- as we’re all the wonderful videos of the dogs having a great holiday of their own! Reggie is very nervous and has not done well in kennels before - but this is different. The team at Top Dog were patient and kind and looked after him so well; we really felt they knew our dogs- and it was kisses all round for them from Lottie before we left for home! We cannot thankyou enough or recommend more. 👏🐾🐾
It's all in the name! My little dogs, Bow and Billie has visited this holiday home twice now. The second visit was for 19 days whilst I was away traveling. Every day I received a video of there walks and even had a video of them singing happy birthday to one of my pooches. I can completely trust this kennel and the girls are great with the doggies. Super clean, tidy and a very nice enviroment. Nothing is too much and the communication is top notch.
We've just used Top Dogs for the first time for our Cocker Spaniel, Monty. This was the first time Monty had stayed away from home so were a little nervous but as soon as we met Martin and his team we knew Monty would be really well cared for and fit in well. When we arrived the team were kind and attentive and helped us settle Monty into his temporary new home. Whilst away we received fabulous videos and photos showing Monty having lots of fun on his walks and chasing his beloved ball. We cannot thank Martin and his team enough for the wonderful care they provided and have already made another booking for next year.
Our boys had an amazing time at Top Dog Kennels! Throughout their stay I had regular updates on how they were getting on, including some beautiful pictures taken by Katie and Darcy! Will definitely use them next time we want to go away. The dogs are so well looked after, all home comforts including beds, usual food and toys go with them so it’s like a home from home. Very impressed! Their attention to detail and devotion to the service makes them the best hands to leave your loved pooches in.
This is such an amazing place! We’ve just picked up our 3 dogs from their long weekend staying at Top Dog for the first time. Two of the dogs - aged 7 and 4 - have never been to kennels before and we were really worried about leaving them but our concerns were totally unfounded. From the moment I booked them in with Martin on the telephone to the very thorough check in process with the wonderful Katy we felt totally reassured. On the photos they sent us our dogs looked relaxed and happy which made us relaxed and happy. Katy and Darcy are angels - thank you so much to you both - we really appreciate all your kindness, thoughtfulness and the love you showed our dogs, and Martin is a total star. Just collected our 5 spaniels from their 3rd visit to Top dog. Absolutely thrilled as always with the care they have received. Martin, Lesley and the team treated them just as they are at home and they have returned happy and healthy. We received numerous videos during our time away, showing just how much fun they were having. It isn’t easy to find somewhere to safely accommodate 5 dogs at once but here they are wonderfully cared for and are all able to stay in the same room, the kennels themselves being extremely roomy and a perfect home from home. Many thanks again to you all- we highly recommend :). Now completed our 4th visit- yet again our 5 dogs came home happy and healthy - thank you to Martin, Lesley and the team for taking such good care of our fur babies and for administering necessary medications . Beautiful place and wonderful team! My dog (Trufa) stayed here for two months, and Martin and the team took so good care of her. They are all so caring and supportive. Many thanks to Katy, Darcy, Lydia and Emma for sending regular pictures and lovely edited videos of Trufa. Special thanks to Katy for spending much of her days with my dog. She even brought her back in her car in her day off so I’m extremely thankful for all the support they gave us. Definitely recommend this place, it is a bit far away but it is worth the travel, as you can be certain that your dog will be in good hands. A fabulous place for dogs to stay - the best I have ever come across! This really is a home from home and our two dogs, Bill & Tess were extremely well looked after. I planned a trip , short notice and booked a dog hotel in the South of York for our Larger than life Dog , Bruno. We decided to go view the property the night before and were horrified. It looked like a run down SPCA. Bruno was found at the SPCA. We panicked and started to frantically google new places. We then came across Top Dog. I gave Martin a call who went out of his way to help us on very short notice. The facility is fantastic. The staff were wonderful. We received many updates on Bruno and how he was doing. I highly recommend Martin and Top Dog. We will definitely be back. They might be a little more expensive but you get what you pay for.
I am extremely pleased with the service that Nigel and Emma offer. We have a lively young terrier and a nervous senior cat. At the preliminary visit, we were very impressed by N and E's professionalism and understanding of the needs of both pets. We have used their service many times since and have found them to be both flexible and reliable. I am very confident leaving both pets in their care. and caring am confident leaving both in their care.
Nigel and Emma are very reliable and ensure my dog Xena has a great walk. Xena is always very excited to see them which only reaffirms that she has a great bond with them. They are also very trustworthy and lovely people to deal with. They will always try and accommodate for last minute requests too which really helps us out. Nigel and Emma have been walking our dogs for many years since they took over Petpals York. They have also looked after our cats when we’ve been away. They have always been professional and utterly trustworthy. They have been flexible to accommodate ‘doggie quirks’ and adjusted their routine for exercise when any of the dogs has been unwell or injured. They are highly recommended.
Nigel and Emma have always been wonderful with our Cat, Remus. We use Petpals to look after our cat when we are away from home. They are great with him, reliable, flexible, great value and trustworthy. They also send us pictures of how Remus is getting on via Whatsapp which we love! Far less stressful for the cat than a cattery, and great value.
Although I’ve not needed to use their services during the pandemic, it has been lovely seeing the happy posts from Petpals as they’ve continued to provide support for some very content looking cats and dogs. Having used Petpals many times in the past for my cats, I will certainly be calling them again as soon as I can travel again. I’m a bit disorganised, but Nigel and Emma have always responded straight away and helped me out with my last minute bookings. Thanks to you both, and stay safe.
Petpals York have been walking our 8 year old Boxer since he was a young lad! They are very compassionate and professional and our family highly recommend them. Our doggie was poorly a couple of years ago and Nigel and Emma were very supportive and adjusted to our needs at that time. We can't thank them enough for loving our dog as much as we do.

Petpals is fantastic! Our cats got very stressed when we used to take them to a cattery. Now it's "business as usual" for the cats and we can go away knowing they are being very well looked after. It's extremely easy too - all we do is send and email and pay! We can't recommend Petpals enough.

We’ve used Emma’s services (cat sitting) a couple of times now. Emma is professional, kind, caring and understanding. The price range is amazing too. Although our cat isn’t the most sociable cat, Emma took/takes the time to get to know her and understand her needs. Both my partner and I would recommend Emma in a heartbeat. It takes a lot for us to trust someone to come into our home and look after our pet. However, we never ever had any worries with Emma. Emma kept us updated throughout and her caring nature really showed
Emma came highly recommended when i was looking for help with feeding my 2 cats and fish whilst away on business. She's reliable, dependable and organised. My little Urchin stayed here for just over 2 weeks and was so well looked after the whole time. The daily updates and 24/7 live-stream provided much needed reassurance to help me enjoy my holiday. I wouldn't have wanted her to be looked after anywhere else. Pepper stayed for 6 nights while I went on holiday and was extremely well looked after which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Anyone with an African Pygmy will know they have specialist needs compared to other pets and Yorkshire Hedgehog Pet Sitters possess a wealth of experience and have all the accommodation needed to keep your hedgehog warm and stimulated throughout their stay. The daily health check reports, camera feed (both live and with playback through the night) and excellent communication were the cherry on the cake, so I thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere for hedgehog boarding!
My hedgehog Pixie was boarded for 13 nights and I can honestly say I couldn't have asked for a better place for her to stay. Josh was just amazing, giving us daily feedback on how she was doing and what she'd been up to, plus gorgeous photographs and videos. I felt she was really cared for and looked really happy whilst in their care. The fact that I could view her vivarium via video link was just an added bonus and totally put my mind at ease due to it being the first time I'd ever left her. The service provided was outstanding and I would highly recommend them. I will definitely be bringing Pixie back! Thank you so much.

AMAZING hedgie sitters! Very professional, and looked after my Strawberry as if he was his own. Had peace of mind while travelling for almost 2 weeks as I got daily updates as to how Strawberry was doing, lots of cute snaps of him everyday, plus I was able to watch him on a special Twitch camera at anytime during the day and at night when he was active. Truly brilliant. Can't recommend enough!!!

My Louis stayed at The Yorkshire Hedgehog Pet Sitters for two weeks whilst I was away on Holiday. To say he got the best care would be an understatement. I received daily health checks, photos, a 24 hr live stream and communication from Josh. Louis was looked after like family and I couldn’t recommend this place higher. Knowing that Josh knows so much about hedgehogs compared to other ‘exotic pet sitters’ means I know I have nothing to worry about when I’m away. I’m so so pleased somewhere like this exists and it is an absolute bargain considering everything that’s done (washing, health checks, nail trimming, bonding time, live treats, daily updates). I left my hedgehog at Yorkshire Hedgehog Pet Sitters for two weeks while we left the country on holiday and was astonished at just how high quality his care was! Every day I received photos and a health report. I also had access to a continuous livestream of his activities, which I could rewind and rewatch whenever I wanted. Between the daily treats, direct handling, and quality cage facilities, you won't find a better place for your hedgehog to stay. We will absolutely be using this brilliant service again.
My hedgehog Bear has returned from a few nights stay with YHPS and all I can say is that they were just brilliant with him! I’ve never left him with someone before but Josh & Co were reassuring from the moment I made contact. When Bear was staying with them I had access to his camera 24/7. Every morning I received a health report and information about how he was settling in, what he was eating etc I also got pictures/videos sent to me daily. I’m so pleased I used them and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend to fellow hoggie owners. Thank you once again for taking care of my boy 🦔💙
Excellent service and top-notch peace of mind while I was away. My little guy was so spoiled and well taken care of. The live feed was a fantastic way for me to keep tabs on my Maui to ensure he was comfortable in his surroundings. I will definitely be leaving my hedgehogs with Yorkshire Hedgehog Pet Sitters again.
My 2 cats stayed over the Christmas break and I would definitely recommend this place. Alyse is experienced at what she does and it really meant a lot knowing they were in such good hands. The surroundings are green and leafy; the facilities are quiet and clean with plenty of views to interest the cats. It made us feel confident knowing our pets were safe and secure while we were away.
We’re very pleased to have found Alyse and this cattery! Conveniently located in York, provides a true 5 star service. We have been impressed by their professionalism and meticulosity. Our cat is rather anxious, but we felt reassured by their approach and Alyse taking the time to listen to our concerns. Our cat’s first stay has definitely been enjoyable, he seemed happy and relaxed when we took him back home. He has his ways of telling us when he’s not been happy; we have had the experience in the past when he needed a long time to ‘recover’ after boarding in a cattery. Not this time though. We will most certainly return. 😼

It’s difficult finding somewhere you trust with your dog, but these really are the best kennels. My dog is always so well looked after and always so happy. They get one on one attention which is great as my dog sometimes struggles with other dogs. The girls are all so amazing and Aylese is unbelievable with all the animals. They are so clean and they have their own kennel too and some are even heated on the floors! I love the photo updates on line too always nice to see, I also used them over Xmas and they sent me Xmas day pics! And she even got a present! 100% would use them and will keep using them! 💗💕
We have been using this cattery regularly for over 10 years and have recommended it to friends and family who have also been happy with the service. The owner is always very accommodating to our cat's needs. You can tell that she is a cat lover and understands how fussy some cats (and owners!) can be and always puts our minds at rest. Our old cat used to need medication and was very timid and they always cared really well for her. On our most recent visit in Sept 2021, I was delighted to see the upgrades that had been made to the cattery. New, larger catio apartments have been created which Alyse took the time to show me around. The care and attention she has put into these was impressive, she really has thought of everything. We highly recommend this cattery.

Boarding my cat, Luna at the Red House really is home from home for her! The service and staff are genuine and always happy to accommodate any kind of special requests (which is perfect for worried owners like myself!). She always comes back happy, and I feel very comfortable boarding her here as I know she is safe, well-fed and watered, warm and comfortable and most importantly, happy! I was so pleased with the quality of service that I applied for a job at the Red House; after working here for almost 6 months, it is clear that all cleaning and preparation is thorough and there is a genuine love for all the animals boarding! Would definitely recommend this place for all, especially worried or fussy owners! Fantastic, reliable company.
We have used the Red House on a number of occasions for our old dog who will be 15 this year. She always comes home happy and relaxed and even seems pleased to be there when we arrive! They have always been flexible when needed and the girls always greet our dog as though she’s an old friend which is lovely considering how nervous she can be, it makes a big difference. The kennels themselves are clean and well maintained and I’d have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family.
I can't recommend this cattery enough. Have used this cattery two years running over Christmas and my cat always comes home looking well and settles quickly. Alyse is very friendly and it's clear that the cattery is spotless and that my cat has been very well looked after. Excellent as always. I think we've left our dogs with the Red House on at least 15 separate occasions. I can honestly say we've never had a single issue. The staff are very friendly and caring towards the dogs. The location is easy to get to, close to York, and yet very tranquil. Some time ago the daughter of a family friend worked there and if there was anything out of order it would have been picked up. There wasn't. The set up is solid. What's not to like? So seeing some bad reviews pop up got me wondering the lengths people will go to tear an excellent long running family business down. Not to mention getting their mates who have never been to the kennels to leave a review as well. I seem to recall a similar thing happen to another boarding kennels in York. The Red House Kennels has always been great for our dogs. It's run by genuine animal lovers who tend to each animal if it were their own. Don't just take my word for it (or any other for that matter). Come and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Unless your mate tells you to be disappointed. But why lie? The place is great. And our dogs are always happy when we approach it, when they see the staff, and during their stay. 5 stars is not enough.
We have left our dog Nuts and cat Biscuit here at least twice a year for the last 8 years and this year they were joined by their new younger doggy brother Archie. We wouldn't entrust any other establishment with our furry children!! You know your pets and can tell when they are happy and unhappy , relaxed, stressed or upset. All our pets without fail are happy and relaxed and look extremely healthy after being left for their holidays at Red House. Our dog Nuts strains on his lead with excitement to greet Lucy when we arrive for the start of his holidays at Red House, a sure sign that he is happy to return. We love that we can go away on our holidays safe in the knowledge that our pets are enjoying theirs! Thank you to Alyse and team for consistently providing such a safe and loving haven for our pets!!

Travelled to Derwent kennels today 18/06/20 with our little man Bear the Jack Russel for his very first haircut. He has a few issues bless but he was looked after fabulously, his hair cut was great, we will definitely be going back. Thank you so much
We ( Mike & Lesley Lambert) first used the kennels around late 2015. We have 2 dogs and had been having a lot of health issues after pick up when using a DIFFERENT kennel. So understandably we were very concerned about leaving them again. Initially we tried a short visit, no issues, a longer one, no issues, then a 2 week stay in July 2017, again no issues. Our dogs have been returned to us happy and healthy ON ALL OCCASIONS. We are totally confident that our animals are being fed correctly, allowed to play in the paddock daily and generally being well looked after and catered for here. WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT RESERVATION, RECOMMEND DERWENT KENNELS.

Charlotte is amazing at looking after our little piggies, we've never had to worry about them whilst they've been in her care. We've used Charlotte's services a few times now and can't fault her. We love getting regular updates and pictures of our piggies and will continue to use Pippin Pet Boarding for the foreseeable future.
Our rabbit, Puddles, has stayed with Charlotte three times. She is always very well cared for and we receive regular updates. We are always very happy with Pippin holidays. Charlotte clearly loves animals.
My bunnies Nibbles and Isabelle have stayed at Pippin many times, most recently in the new luxury lodge which is a whole summer house and garden for them to roam freely. But it is the care and love that they receive from Charlotte who apart from being highly experienced in small pet care obviously adores animals which makes it more than just a business. I wouldn’t send my beloved rabbits anywhere else. Prices are more than fair for the level of service and you will get regular lovely photos and updates. Highly recommended in every way.
I would highly recommend Pippin Pet Boarding. Charlotte has been looking after our hamsters for the past few years now and we have always received an excellent service. Charlotte is really friendly and from the first visit we knew our hamster would be in safe hands. Charlotte always sends us photo updates throughout their stay so we can see how they are getting on which is great!
My two little Russian Dwarf hamsters, Pudding and Crumpet, have just spent 10 days with Charlotte at Pippin Pet Boarding and they had an absolutely amazing time ! They were looked after with the utmost care and attention . I received regular updates and some really cute pictures of my two girls which was sooo nice and comforting as I missed them a lot ! Charlotte was very friendly and professional , and was sooo considerate and flexible when arranging drop off and pick up times ! Charlotte looked after my canary "Biscuit" for two weeks and he was very happy and healthy when I returned to collect him. I was given regular updates about him throughout my holiday, including lovely photos of him free-flying around safely. Reasonably priced and reliable! Will definitely use again!!!

Pipping Barding is just first class accommodation for small animals 🥇Charlotte is very dedicated and cares for her charges with 100% dedication my two girlie guineas Wendy & Daphne have been twice for two pretty long stays I have no hesitation at leaving them .The updates while you are away are fabulous we all know small animals can suddenly go downhill it’s something we always discuss but thankfully it’s never happened .Makes going away on holiday so much easier !
Can't fault Lorraine and her York team - they have been so helpful, our dog loves his visits and walks, and they can help with small pet holiday checking. Would happily them recommend to anyone
