Zhenya and Slava were great guests and cared for our home and pets as though they were their own :) Arranging the sit was uncomplicated and communication before and during the stay was always quick and easy. We were fortunate enough to have a few hours overlap so we were able to get to know them over a glass of wine which was really special - it was wonderful hearing about all their different sits and how they are able to travel the world like locals through this website. They're super personable and friendly and clearly have a lot of experience with animals, as both of our cats and our neighbour's dog loved them! They kept our apartment really clean and tidy, asked all the right questions about the cat's needs, and were just a delight to host! I can't recommend them enough. Thank you SO much Zhenya and Slava for sitting for us! Maybe we'll meet again somewhere, or if you're ever back in Berlin then let us know - we'd love to host you again :) Ellen & Chris x
Paula was a fantastic housesitter for us over the holiday period - we couldn't have found a better person to look after our dog, cat, plants and house. She was kind enough to come meet us beforehand as this was our first sit and we were unsure of how everything would work - just meeting her reassured us that we'd be in good hands. She was incredibly flexible with our timings as well as our general worries with our planned travel due to COVID. During her stay, she provided us with daily updates on our (high energy!) pup and (moody) cat, and certainly went way above our expectations at keeping the two of them entertained and loved. We'd happily have her back (and are planning to!) and would highly recommend her as a housesitter.
When I first walked into the apartment after my trip it was so clean and organized I thought I'd been robbed! 😄 I was completely blown away by how neat, clean and well cared for everything was! The cats were happy, not at all stressed (as they sometimes are with sitters). And Shahla even optimized how several areas of the apartment were arranged so it flowed better when I got home! I'd absolutely love to have Shahla and Sebero over anytime! They even followed up to make sure my plant didn't die (my fault) and offered advice. So kind!

We love Carey's dog minding service because our dog loves it! Our Westie Peggy can't wait to join Carey's dogs as they are wonderful companions and make beach time extra special. Her containment of the number of dogs she hosts mean they get excellent care and attention. We enjoy our time away because of the confidence and security Carey provides. Carey is absolutely wonderful taking care of the dogs. Our Frankie goes once a week to daycare and has just started staying over. We know she is in such good hands and do not worry about her. She loves the beach trips and making new friends. Highly recommend! 🐶

We just LOVE Carey. Buster has been in paradise 2 days a week and the odd night for over a year and he is always sooooo excited to play w all the other dogs that Carey has all under control very well! I mean 2 walks a day at the beach! Amazing! Carey is such a caring woman and deeply respects the animals and is very friendly and easy w us owners!!! Hello! Peggy the Westie here! I have just returned home from another awesome little stay with Carey and friends. As soon as I got a "whiff" of my holiday destination I started to whinge and carry on in the car. Then I nearly dislocated my mum's arm in my eagerness to join my hosts. As soon as my leash was removed I took off to play and even forgot to say bye bye to mum and dad ...oops! (Although I have made amends with an extra big loop -the-loop hello upon their return.) Mum says that all my compliments about Carey's may mislead people to think that I live in a small cardboard box and do nothing. In truth, I have a wonderful life and home full of love and adventure. I say that just goes to show how good it is at Carey's.....if it can excite a spoiled kid like me it must be paradise!!
Carey is just wonderful, can't recommend her enough. Fantastic with dogs, huge and safe fenced yard - right across from the beach. My dog loves her two dogs as well.

My little fur baby Spike stayed with the team just before Christmas. Spike has a little bit of separation anxiety but was super happy in the little paws club, he also has medication and the girls where super great with this. I saw regular posts of him on FB and he looked super happy, this put my mind at ease while I was away. when I picked him up he was happy and I will definitely have him stay in the future. thanks for taking good care of my little guy.
Alfie always seems to enjoy his time at Avonlee. We always book in early to make sure we get a place for him. I really recommend Avonlee for short or long stays.
Thankyou once again for looking after our beloved cat Percy. He seems to be very comfortable going to Avonlee now as I know you care for him so well and give him the affection he loves. We’re very glad to have Avonlee in the area to take him when we go away.
This was my 9.5 year old dogs first stay in a kennel. He came home contented and happy which was a great sign. Apparently he made a dog friend who he would play with during free time and liked the staff.
My older dog Chloe has never had need of staying in kennel boarding before due to always having family around to care for her she is 13 years old..This situation has changed now our human kids all are moving out of home..so for an older dog I was worried that she would be anxious about being in a new environment..and I was anxious..but to my surprise on picking her up after 4 days..she was so calm..happy to see me but very keen to go back to the staff and go back inside with them..to me this means she was extremely well cared for, which I was grateful for..and I have no hesitation for future visits or holidays..thanks everyone at Avonlee..
I am always very concerned when I need to leave my cat in the care of somebody that doesn't understand her personality. Even her vet, a cat lover, has described her as a challenge. This is because she was abandoned as a kitten and has lived with nobody but my wife and I ever since she adopted us, insisting we let her into our house and our lives. I said it was never going to happen, but it did because she was brave enough and stubborn to make it happen. Ever since then, whenever we have had to travel, we have left her in the care of the staff at Avonlee Lodge Pet Resort. The staff at Avonlee Lodge have always taken care of her in a way that puts the least amount of stress on both her and my wife and I while we are away. I have total faith in the staff at Avonlee Lodge to look after her and give her the care she needs without adding to any distress she may be feeling due to separation anxiety. I know she is only a cat but I made a commitment to look after her when I let her into my life and part of that commitment is ensuring she is safe at all times, whether in my care or the care of others. I take that commitment seriously and I thank the staff at Avonlee Lodge Pet Resort for taking that commitment seriously too.
Thankyou for taking good care of my Dolly and Dixie. They both were well and happy when I picked them up. I think Dixie would have stayed longer, she seemed to have had such a good time. I only leave my girls with Avonlee.

Judy is absolutely amazing, she loved our little poodle as her own and gave us daily updates and videos. Beach trips, daily walks with the other dogs and cuddles on the couch. I felt so secure knowing scout was loved so dearly while we were away. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
We are so happy to have found Judy at Happy Tails Byron Bay. We have 2 chihuahuas who can be very particular and fussy, one of them fear aggressive and the other a little on the nippy -feisty side and Judy handled them with ease and warmth. We loved getting the fun video updates when we were overseas- she clearly has a lovely way with dogs and we were very relaxed being away, knowing the dogs were so well looked after . I can't recommend Judy highly enough.

Beach and forest walks,lots of other doggies to socialise with and so much attention They are really spoilt with love ❤️ Recently Judy minded my dogs for almost 3 weeks and it gave me huge peace of mind to know how happy and well looked after they were 🥰I would highly recommend Judy happy tails !!
We have been using happy tails for a while now for our dog Kenny each time we go away. I used to get so much anxiety finding Kenny a reliable sitter until we found Judy. Kenny loves going to stay with Judy and runs into her place excited to play with his doggie pals. She sends regular updates and also clips his nails which we really appreciate as struggle to do ourselves. He comes home exhausted from a fun filled time and I’m sure he doesn’t miss us at all 😂
We wouldn’t just leave our guy, Reuben with just anyone but at Happy Tails, he’s treated like part of the family! He loves the interaction with the other pups and he totally loves his cuddles with Judy and Dave. We never have to worry about anything, although sometimes we wonder if he wants to come home again! Having big cousin Vinny to hang out with is a definite bonus, too. Best doggy day care ever!

Judy was an angel heaven sent at very short notice after we were told our pup wasn’t welcome at our accommodation. Our Bear was still just a puppy but in Judy’s hands he was well behaved and loved being part of Judy’s “pack”. 100% recommend to all! Thank you Judy.
Judy was so lovely to our 2 year old spoodle Oakie for day and overnight care! She fit us in with late notice when we wanted to do some dog free activities on our honeymoon in Byron. When my partner and I started planning for a week overseas, we turned to Happy Tails to care for our girl, Poppy. She’d been to Doggie Day Care at their place a few times, and we loved the attention they gave each dog, the full access they allowed them to their dog-friendly property, and of course the impressive the pack walks. During her stay, we got daily updates, pics and videos, on Poppy’s mood, activities and play with the other pups—putting our minds at ease. We’re confident she enjoyed her time with Dave and Judy, and are sure she’ll look forward to staying with them again.
I was so so happy with Judy minding my beloved greyhound, Perriwinkle. Its a gorgeous location and so peaceful, being set in rain forest only 8 minutes from Byron with dogs lying around on the deck on daybeds. Very sweet. Perriwinkle settled in beautifully and Judy kindly sent me texts with photos of my dog who had settled in beautifully the first and second days. I wouldf highly recommend Happy Tails of Byron and so prefer to the idea of an impersonal kennel somewhere as my dog was obviously loved and pampered as she was very relaxed when i collected her.
