Heidi sat at our house for the month of July 2023, while we were away. She took fantastic care of of cat, garden, and home. We will be asking her to return to care for our home again in September. We feel extremely lucky to have her in our area for future travel! Highly recommend Heidi!
It was an absolute pleasure caring for Sid – he is a very special cat. The home is very comfortable, with a small sun trap garden for relaxing in. The location just outside the old city walls is perfect for sightseeing and shopping. Chester is a wonderful town in its own right, but is also a well-positioned hub for further travel, with very convenient public transport. This was a wonderful sit – thank you, Penny!
We really enjoyed our stay looking after Ivy in Lesley's comfortable home. Ivy is very easy to care for; she doesn't wander far and you soon get to know her favourite lounging spots in the house and garden. She eats well and makes sure she is on hand when food is served. If you happen to be passing, then Ivy is always ready for a stroke and will often roll over to signal her desire for a tummy rub. She joined us on the sofa in the evening when we were able to indulge her seemingly insatiable desire for strokes rewarded by her delightfully continuous purr. We had a half-hour hand-over with Lesley before she headed off to the airport. That might not seem very long but we felt very well briefed because we had previously had two telephone conversations with Lesley and the welcome pack she has prepared is really comprehensive. We also knew that we could contact her by text at any time if we had any questions. Lesley's house is very comfortable and it was a great pleasure to enjoy the sunny weather in the flower-filled garden. We were also able to take advantage of the South Downs location, walking from the house up to St Hubert's Church (the Little Church in the Field) to see its medieval wall painting. Half an hour's drive found us on a West Sussex beach and, within an hour, we were able to reach Wolvesey Castle in Winchester to catch an open-air afternoon concert. A very pleasurable few days and thanks to Lesley and Ivy for giving us that opportunity and ensuring that we had a lovely time.
Nikki and Rory were great hosts. They left detailed instructions printed out to us so we could easily made ourselves familiar with the house and the needs of Reggie. She was a bit shy for a few days until she got used to us. :-) The house is in a beautiful, quiet location and is close to nature. A big shopping outlet is only a few minutes drive away. The house is well designed and very cosy, we had a great stay! We would not hesitate to come back another time. Tunde and Gabor
We had such a great time with Bramley at Dean and Luc's home in Tunbridge Wells. To start with, the good boy in question, Bramley the black labrador, is as sweet as can be. It's clear that his training is off to a brilliant start and has great recall; perfectly happy and able to go on long walks in the countryside and will do anything for a biscuit. We had a few days out with him that involved a 2-3 hr walk followed by a pub lunch, and he was content to lie on a blanket with a kong until we were ready to go again. The house was welcoming and super clean, had all the necessary things to feel right at home for a long week. We stayed with Dean and Luc the night before they left and shared a meal, got all the info we needed and exchanged some messages while they were on their holiday- always very friendly in helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to look after Bramley again and would highly recommend to other sitters. Thanks again :)
It was a pleasure to house sit for Sam and James and look after their sweet little cat Kiara. Their home is conveniently situated close to the train station and various bus stops so it's great for sitters who want to explore further, especially for going up to London. The main bedroom is light and airy and a nice place to chill out in because it gets the evening sun. It has a window seat and a very comfortable bed. I would highly recommend this sit.
A few days later, I remember Stockholm with great gratitude. It was our first visit to Sweden and it turned out to be very eventful. Mathieu's family welcomed us with a delicious dinner. It was the first time we had seen each other, but there was no feeling of awkwardness. The guys also took care of our overnight stay as we flew in a day before the agreed date. And to surprise you, the family also prepared breakfast for us. We had a busy program in Stockholm. Mathieu's wife Yulia helped us a lot, for which we thank her very much. She was always in touch, shared her tips and attached links to her recommendations, making it easy to find places. The cat Pusheen is a special love. Big, fluffy, very kind despite his menacing appearance. Loves to be combed out and to turn on the bath water for him to drink. Living with a cat is, of course, happiness. Especially when there is a snowstorm and frost outside the window, and you are reading a book and stroking the cat sleeping next to you. This family is our big and sincere recommendation. We had a wonderful vacation in Stockholm and would like to thank Mathieu and his family for trusting us.
