Loved my stay with Lola and Walter (Goose went with the family for Christmas). They are very sweet cats who warmed up quickly after a shy start. Walter loves his treats and Lola is very good at entertaining herself with toys. They also love a supervised outing to the self contained deck, which will give you a gorgeous view, and they will regale you with songs of how hungry they are every time you think of entering the kitchen :) The house is lovely - big dining table, large couch and TV, and a well equipped kitchen with a great view. Lots of light, sunset if you're lucky, and a comfy bed. They do have a steep road to the house, but how else will you get stunning views and be right at the base of the mountain trails?! Megan left clear instructions and was helpful with any missing info/questions. I also received Christmas treats :) Would happily sit for them again.
Melissa and Jeff have a nice house in attractive neighborhood. It was real fun to take a walk around the neighborhood with their dogs. The house has a fun backyard decorated with cactus, sculptures, and other objects. Dogs are real friendly and well behaved. I will miss interacting with them.
House and cat sitting for Laura was a complete joy. Harry is the most handsome cat and the sweetest! He always at my side. A real purr machine! And loves his belly rubs. Caring for Harry was very easy, the normal feeding, water, and litter box duties. House, plant, and cat care were clearly written out. The house is modern, clean, and has all the comfort amenities. The neighborhood is friendly, safe, and a fast 5 minute drive to downtown. Laura was very generous with her home and responded quickly to texts. A great housesit!
This was my very first house-sit and I suspect now the bar has been set unreasonably high. Kim and Arleigh have a comfortable home that is a short walk from a gorgeous, uninterrupted beach. The town is called Long Beach for a reason! Mixi is a sweet, affectionate cat who befriended me right away. She was so easy to care for - although she's a senior cat she has zero health issues and even scampers around the house sometimes like a kitten. She was determined to scratch through the glass patio doors to get at the birds outside. Sadly for Mixi, the doors held. Maybe next time. On this visit there were deer EVERYWHERE. I saw multiple deer every day - even deer tracks on the beach. (Deer go to the beach?!) It was like staying in a nature preserve. Overall an extremely relaxing, pleasant stay. I would definitely return.
This was easily one of my favorite sits. Leesa and Allison are very kind and cool people! I loved talking to them and spending time with their furry family. Communicating with them was easy peasy and the home itself is so cozy! And the goats!! The goats were a huge part of my interest they did not disappoint. So cute and loving. If you like slow country living, this sit is for you!
This was such a lovely experience. Poppy and Fern are the sweetest cats and very easy to take care of. Poppy makes the cutest noises and is so cuddly and affectionate. Fern can be a bit more shy at first but once she warms up to you she will want to sit on your lap too, and she is just a sweetheart! The house itself is beautiful with so much natural light, and the backyard is amazing. The house had everything I needed. The area, Kanata, is a wonderful reprieve for someone who needs a break from big cities and wants to be around nature. There are SO many amazing trails and places to hike, and it is so quiet and peaceful. I got by just fine without a car - you can bike everywhere you need, or walk if you're really motivated, and the airport/downtown Ottawa is only a 30 min drive. There are also buses. Rhonda was very communicative the whole time, promptly answering all of my questions before and during the stay. I had no issues whatsoever. I would absolutely watch Poppy and Fern again!

When one of our dogs passed away right before her stay there, the owner and staff gave extra love and attention to our other dog, including sending text updates and pictures of how he was doing whilewe were away. Appreciate their empathy and going above and beyond! Will always be our kennel of choice!
Nothing but great things to say! My dog LOVES going for daycare & overnight boarding. He is treated with kindness, has friends to play with, & comes home happy- exhausted. The staff is great - professional, courteous, & always smiling.
They take all breeds and seem capable of handling difficult or aggressive dogs, although mine are not so I can’t confirm that. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the number of vaccinations they require to board. In particular the TDAP and leptospirosis vaccines seem like overkill to me, but I’m certain they do this to avoid getting sued by some overdramatic pet owners, but I’m also not a vet. Gizmo says thanks as always!
Our doggies have been going to Rover’s Ranch for 6 years, averaging 5-6 stays a year. I whole heartedly trust them with our dogs and will not take them anywhere else. Howie and Harvey are always so excited for their stays! Thank you for taking such great care of our furry babies ❤️
Rover’s Ranch is the only place we’ve ever boarded our dogs, every interaction has been positive with staff and the owner. They’re professional, and our dogs have a great time. I know they’re well cared for and get loads of play time, which is important to us.

You can tell she truly loves dogs and cares for them as if they were her own! Our dogs had a blast and never appeared stressed or neglected. This place is just the best. I have had to do a lot of weekend travel over the past few months, and was worried about what to do with my energetic puppy. The staff at Rovers Ranch immediately put my mind at ease, they were friendly and caring, and always accommodating despite my frequent travel. They always welcomed my puppy with open arms, and I can tell that he is well cared for, because every time we arrive he bolts in, never looking back at me. He LOVES to play with other dogs, and he is matched to dogs that are his same size, as well as energy level, so he has a blast and is worn out by the time I pick him up. I really highly recommend this place to anyone looking to board or take their dog to day care.
We wouldn't take our pooch dude ANYWHERE ELSE!!! We've been taking him there for a couple of years now for this trips you just can't take the dog with. They are so great and he Loves it. They give a report on your dog, the dogs get a lot of play time and their own space to rest. They allow belongings to stay with your dog to make them feel more comfortable. Amazing and will continue to use.
This is the absolute BEST kennel that I have ever taken my dogs to. I’ve taken my dogs to “upscale” places and I’m fairly certain they don’t do what they SAY they do. My dogs seem neglected for attention and come screaming to me when they know I am there to pick them up. At Rovers Ranch the staff was very friendly and they didn’t hesitate to give me a tour, most larger kennels never offer to show you behind the scenes. It’s hard to get in last minute anywhere, but when they can they are more than willing to schedule you for emergency stays! This is the third time that my German Shepherd and Husky have stayed at Rovers Ranch. THIS boarding place actually takes your dogs outside to play and they do not charge extra for it. The owner clearly understands and loves dogs. I do not get the screaming and charging towards me anymore. Now they won’t even come walking to me, I have to drag them out of there. Thanks Rovers Ranch!
We went on vacation for a week and left our dog at Rover's Ranch. Our dog was very happy there. We are actually taking her back this week for a doggy day care day. The owner lives on the property and she is very nice. She is always willing to help you out and make sure your dog is taken care of. I will be taking my dog here for all our kennel and day care needs!
