This sit could not have been more perfect. I had the chance to meet Belén and Abel in person before they leave, they were so welcoming that I felt at home right away in their lovely and quiet flat, perfectly equipped and situated, you can walk to everywhere and there is a supermarket right at the corner. They showed me everything and gave me a lot of advice to what to see and do. Now Willie, he is the sweetest cat ever, so easy to take care of, playful, and easily coming to me to get some cuddles. I really recommend this sit, and would come bqck with pleasure.
This was an excellent sit with the sweet Otto! Ashley gave us a full run down of Otto info, as well as her home info, and we felt very well prepared on all fronts. Otto loves to snuggle and play and was so much fun to be around. And Ashley has a beautiful and comfortable place overlooking the water and central to easily get anywhere in DC. We would definitely recommend spending time with Otto in DC!
Colin and I had a marvellous stay at Damaris and James’ home. Everything was just perfect. Their home, their garden and the weather. Damaris and James are a very relaxed couple who live in a beautiful part of the country. A car is essential but you are rewarded with beautiful countryside and a peaceful setting. They decided to take Storma with them in the end so we only had to care for the chickens and the garden. One of the hens was broody and hatched 3 gorgeous little chicks while we were there - such a treat. Would highly recommend as a housesit and would love the opportunity to return in the future. What an enjoyable housesit in an iconic Queenslander in one of Brisbane best suburbs! I just loved meeting and hanging out with old-girl Tia, a border collie whose determination keeps her loving her daily short walks, and Bengal cat Loki who roams his high-ceilinged home like it’s a jungle. Both really easy to look after. Jolaine, and her family, were really friendly and welcoming, making me feel instantly comfortable and left clear instructions. Their home is a lovely light and breezy Queenslander, is really well appointed and in a leafy suburb close to cafes, public transport and walks along the river. Highly recommend housesit. I hope they’ll have me back sometime!
We enjoyed our stay at Marie's place in a beatiful setting. She graciously let us stay the night before in their 5th wheel since they had an early departure. We adored Goose who was such a loveable dog and fun to be with, but he gets a bit jealous if you pay attention to the kitties, Gaston and Mrs. Potts. We would close the door to the master and play and cuddle with the kitties. Gir the snake was easy to take care of as were the Koi fish. There was a lot of activity at Marie's place with people coming and going to take care of the horses, but it didn't bother us at all. Marie was in the process of buying a new horse farm before their trip, so I'm sure things would have been a bit more organized if she didn't have a lot going on. Marie did respond to any questions we had.
We did a 3 day sit at first, for a love ball called Astro, Jamie's son. Jamie was very kind and welcoming since the beginning, and made sure we had all the info and everything else we needed. We visited them a few days before the sit started, since we were in town. Astro took a couple of days to get used to us as per usual with most pets. But after he realised we were there to be his best friends while his dad went on a weekend trip, Astro took us in and we had a great time with him. We were very happy, because we had already agreed on doing another sit in a couple of days time, this time, we'd stay a couple of weeks with little Astro. Such a joy. (...to be continued)
