Sitting for Helene and Diogo was an amazing experience. Rita is very independent and does her own thing and requires very little tending to, Ida is the sweetest kitty ever and always wants to cuddle. She would always sit next to me while I read a book or got some work done. We became great friends :) the house is lovely, and sits on a very quiet street. There is also public transportation that takes you anywhere you want to go about a two minute walk from the house. I used the tram, the bus, and a $15/mo city bike subscription to get around for the whole month+ I was there. I also did a lot of cooking while I was at the house, and Helene and Diogo’s kitchen is wonderfully stocked. Every kind of spice and kitchen appliance and tool you could possibly need. It was a joy to try out some new recipes there. I also fell in love with Oslo itself and will be back as soon as I possibly can. Helene was also quite helpful throughout the whole experience whenever I needed anything and was very chill whenever any small problems arose. I highly recommend this house sitting opportunity to anyone 😊👍🏻
I loved this house sit. It was the first time I'd been to Bristol, which is a very hilly city. So you need to be fit. There is a bus stop within a few minutes walk of Juliet and Paul's home however, with a half-hourly bus service. Juliet and Paul are a lovely couple, and their home is comfortable and has all the facilities one needs. Their gorgeous Staffie, Lula, is delightful, so affectionate and sweet natured. She was a joy to look after.
We fell in love with Charlie and Cody immediately! These two boys have soooo much personality, it truly was difficult leaving them. Zsanett and Zach are great hosts. They have a beautiful home near Vandy just minutes from all the action Nashville has to offer. Hopefully we’ll have the opportunity to come back and see our boys!
We had fun getting to know Nova and enjoying Half Moon Bay! Nova is a chill cuddly doggie while you're home. We took a couple of walks in cold rainy weather, and Nova was so happy to be out which helped motivate us to get out of the house to enjoy the scenery (we did some trails by the water). I love that even on quick walks in the neighborhood you can see and, at the right spot, hear the ocean. Kelly and Billy are very considerate and generous hosts. We experienced an uncharacteristically large storm during our sit and they were both very understanding and communicated clearly how to set up a backup power supply (and provided updates about when the power was expected to be restored). We're hoping we'll get a chance to sit for them again.
This was truly such a wonderful sit from start to finish. Karen and Sarah are lovely people who welcomed us so warmly into their home. Although we didn't meet them in person, we felt connected with them through our video chats and were confident about the details of the sit before arriving. They were available for communication whenever needed, their instructions were clear, and their home was super comfortable. Their three sweet fur babies were such a delight, each with their own distinctive personalities ... each of them communicative in their own special ways. Our time at Karen and Sarah's place was super relaxing and fun, and felt like a true blessing. We would highly recommend this sit!
