Kate is an absolutely amazing sitter! She was very communicative and efficient in setting up her arrival to our home. Kate took excellent care of our senior dog and made him feel comfortable during our absence. She left the home tidy and clean upon her departure. I would recommend Kate to anyone seeking a reliable sitter. Additionally, Kate was very kind to give us daily updates and photos on how her and the dog were doing.
It was a real joy to look after Alfie and explore the coastal countryside south of Dublin with such a feisty little companion! Karen and her family were very welcoming and left clear instructions which were very helpful. The home was very clean and tidy, and Karen always responded quickly if I had any questions. This little pup is dearly loved and the family has worked hard to train him. He is well behaved, but is reactive to other dogs, and must always be kept on lead. He enjoys long walks and has lots of stamina, which enabled us to walk 8-10 miles without any issues. I enjoyed my week in Killiney so much, and found the area very easy to navigate using public transportation. The star of the show, of course, is Alfie. He is a dear little pup who loves playing with his ball, getting gentle brushes, and tummy rubs. I would love to look after him again, and so appreciate the chance to care for him this summer.
Styve and Shawna are lovely and very kind and gracious with their beautiful home. It was an absolute privilege to spend time in such a stunning location, with the two boys, Henry and Valentino, who are just a joy. Really placid and peaceful cats and have the most amazing purrs. The neighbours are lovely too, and the area amazing to get out and about in. We would happily go back any time and thoroughly recommend this sit. Thank you for the opportunity Styve and Shawna!
We stayed at Katharina's and Regis' house for almost 3 weeks. Katharina was very good with communication before we arrived and we arranged for her to meet us near her workplace in Toulouse from which she drove us to her home. Then we had 2 days together, during which we got a detailed introduction to the requirements of the animals and the working of the house. When they left for their holiday we felt well prepared. Since I had a small accident right in the beginning of our stay, I could not enjoy the riding opportunities in the near by forest and my husband Jinsu had to do all the heavy work. Nevertheless we enoyed the stay very much and became very attached to Bingo, Vicky and Poppy in particular. I still think of these beautiful and individual creatures almost every day, which always makes me smile. Being city residents we very much enjoyed the calm and green countryside and the second half also the opportunity to use Katharina and Regis' car to visit some villages in the vicinity for a bit of change. During the whole time we kept a friendly and constant exchange with Katharina by sending messages and especially pictures to let her see that the dogs, cats and horses were well cared for. We knew that the stay would involve a certain amount of daily physical work and that's what we were looking for, but you just should be aware that there is almost something to do... Katharina writes that there should be at least 2 people doing the sit together and that's realistic. We would be happy to sit for Katharina again some day in the future and fully recommend this sit :-)
Meeting Ann felt like a gamechanger and restored my faith in humanity. I had a rough trip getting to the Mobile area but it all just seemed to melt away the moment I met her. She overflows with genuine empathy, kindness and care and is truly a rare book of life, wonder and insight, not mutated into one of society's antisocial, soulless aliens. Like Ann, her adorable kitty Jack seems to not have a mean bone in her body. This kitty afforded me so much comfort and joy with snuggles, pets and ritual cheese plate gatherings. Jack the girl was smart, social, meditative, beautiful, and showed me how to assist her in her self-care routine; we had many a long siesta together as the rest of the world went about their illogical errands. We liked taking fresh air together out on the veranda and watching the hardworking farmers in the field make those "dirt road dollars, way out yonder.. doin it like their fathers...pulling them tractors out in them pastures...". Ann did not need constant texts or updates at all which was also a nice treat since she trusted me to take care of her home and cat without micro-managing or surveillance. After meeting Ann and experiencing firsthand her graceful hospitality in setting me up for success in her gorgeous home, I can laugh rather than cry at all the insane indignities I have encountered while traveling. Now I think all the time, "I am not in trouble at all! This is definitely not my fault! If Ann were here, this would definitely be a fun and wonderful time rather than (terrible/humiliating/awkward/not right at all/super messed up). Gosh, I really wish I could call Ann and tell her all about this." Sorry, yall, for the heartfelt review, but Ann is one of those delightful souls with whom you really don't have to filter much, because she is some kind of saintly godmother who will make your time there not just pleasant but lifechanging as you remember what humans used to be more like, are actually supposed to be like, and yet still can be like if they choose to be authentic and kind.
Wonderful house and location; Jake and Poppin were a delight to spend a week with. Jeremy and Alison left lots of useful information and detailed doggie guidance so we felt very confident in our care of house and dogs.
Joss was available, left clear instructions, and a comfortable clean home. Violet was a sweeeet pitbull. Overall I had a lovely time.
