I really enjoyed looking after Baxter and Winnie, they were such characters. Mathew and his family made me feel very welcome in their home and there was great communication throughout. Their house is in a nice area with lots of space and very easy transport links into London. I'd happily sit for them again.
This was Christine and Geoff's first experience of using Trusted Housesitters. They welcomed us warmly, as did their very young adorable cocker spaniels who are a joy to watch play in the garden and to walk. The house is clean and comfy, with good guidance notes. A happy three days for all concerned.
I had a lovely stay at Emily's with Bellini. Her place was so clean and serene. Bellini is such a beautiful cat and very independent. When she wants some love she will let you know, otherwise she will chill on under the couch, or Inside of the couch (she has created a tricky little hiding spot within the underlining of the couch. You can see where if you look, so don't be alarmed if you can't find her and think she snuck out and ran away somewhere lol). Other than being a little afraid that I lost her before I found that spot, this was such an easy sit. Emily is very friendly and organized. I appreciate her planning ahead, checking in and being in communication with me prior and during the stay. Nice bonuses are the rooftop pool and pretty nice size gym, sauna, the bus stop to Mall of the Emirates is right in front of the building and lots of restaurants and markets in walking distance.
We arrived a day early to meet Emily, Andrew and their daughter Sophia and to acquaint ourselves with their menagerie, Kaya the dog, five chickens and two Guinea pigs. We were made to feel most welcome and were fully informed about the needs of the animals and the running of the house. Their home can be likened to a holiday villa, equipped with a swimming pool overlooking glorious countryside situated just 2 kms outside the lively historic town of Sax. We felt as though we’re on holiday here and caring for the animals was a pleasure. Kaya is a kindly dog requiring a daily short walk and cuddles. The chickens and Guinea pigs necessitated simple cleaning and feeding tasks. This was indeed a pleasurable housesit.
Sitting for Niki and Lawson was awesome! Their pets and farm animals were all very well behaved and fun to be around. Fresh eggs from the chooks in the morning and being able to sit by the cozy fireplace were some of our favorite parts. It was also laid back enough for us to do our own thing during the days and go off to do activities if we wanted. Definitely will be back if they ever need us again!
