We cannot even believe how lucky and blessed we were to have been selected to house sit for Jane and Rob! Despite a couple of very unfortunate occurrences outside of our control, Jane was not just understanding but also very caring toward us. Leading up to the sit we felt very secure because communication was seamless. Unfortunately, we could not meet Jane and Rob in person, but upon our arrival we were greeted with so much love by Twiggy, Reggie, and Willow. The home has such a loving and wholesome feeling and it was very easy to settle in and feel right at home. Jane even left us a meal in the fridge, which was beyond appreciated and delicious! Honestly, this was totally a dream sit for us out in the countryside. Cozy home, beautiful garden, stunning countryside walks right out the door, and a menagerie of animals who constantly put a smile on our faces. Marnhull was such a perfect launching ground for exploring Dorset, and we definitely took advantage. We were able to pick veggies from the garden and cook in their large, beautiful kitchen each evening. It was total heaven, and we were honestly so sad to leave. We loved loved loved our experience there and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!
Laura selected me to look after Lulu over the Christmas holidays for 3 weeks. Laura's luxurious apartment is centrally located and within walking distance to the Den Haag Centraal train station, and all downtown amenities, shops, restaurants and museums. Laura welcomed me warmly and gave me an orientation of her apartment and of Lulu's routines. Even though I like all cats, Lulu stands out as a special cat; she has her daily routines and likes to play with her water bowl which is very amusing. She's vocal with her cute little meows and loved to cuddle next to me. I arrived in the Netherlands one day after a nationwide lockdown was announced for one month, so I spent most of my time cuddling with Lulu. Whenever I went out, she always came to the door to greet me with meows and purrs. Just about half my photos of my stay in the Netherlands are of Lulu, she is just the most adorable cat. I do hope to be invited back in the future, as my time with Lulu was truly special and maybe next time, I will get to visit a museum or two!
Maggie and Stella were formidable fur balls of love to sit. The instructions on taking care of the house and dogs were very good and made things easy. Maggie needs insuline shots twice a day but she is very used to it and it was a breeze. The house itself is lovely and very comfortable and the trails around make for amazing walks with the dogs. We do recommend having a car to enjoy more options but there is a bus stop right in front of the property.
Fiona, Justin and their family welcomed us into their home before an overseas trip away and gave us an excellent walk through and written briefing on what was needed to take care of the the wonderful Fizz who is both energetic and also a big playful softy. The area is really nice and it's just a 10 min walk to loads of nearby eateries, pubs, boutique shops and supermarkets. In another direction is a massive public park which is fantastic for dog exercise. The tube stop is very handy to get about. Keeping in touch was always easy and we thank them for the opportunity to be with Fizz and spend some time staying in this relaxing and groovy part of London in their lovely home. Fiona and her family were fantastic and thanks again for a 5 thumb stay!
Leslie was wonderful to work with. She is gracious, thoughtful, organized, a good communicator, has reasonable expectations, her property is inspirational, and her animals are lovely.
Peter was an awesome host and left clear instructions for their beautiful home and adorable pet family. The animals were very easy to care for and quite affectionate. The dogs have been well trained and the cats loved seeking us out for petting. Reno is always a fun town to visit and I would highly recommend this sit and family.
