Philippa
Philippa & Humphrey are lovely people with a stunning home. They made us feel very welcome. Taz & Gerry are beautiful cats. Gerry really bonded with Andy and loved lying next to him on the sofa purring while Taz was out exploring. The weather could have been kinder to us but we managed to have a lovely meal at Bar 37 in Ash and visit Deal castle which was very intersting. We would recommend this sit and would be happy to return.

Victoria
Ginger, Moxi and Pirate Jenny are quite the trio! They will entertain you for your entire stay.

Ginger may take a little time to adapt to Victoria’s absence, but once she’s accepted you, she will curl up next to you on the couch, sleep with you at night, and love your affection. On her walks, she’s good at letting you know when she’s had enough, and she’ll steer you home. During the day, if she needs a quick potty break, she’ll ring a bell to let you know. She’s not a fan of surprises, so letting her know you’re approaching, from the front, with an audible announcement, will make her a happier pup.
Ginger is a good eater, but doesn’t seem as mindful of meal time as her cat companions.

The cats, Moxi and Pirate Jenny, look identical - it’s not easy to tell the sisters apart at first. Together, they will always let you know when it’s time to eat. They will run to the kitchen at the same time and sing loudly for their food – in advance of each of their two courses.

They may look identical, but their personalities are very different. Moxi will ask for your attention and affection frequently throughout the day. There is no stroke or pet that she doesn’t love, unless it’s meal time, when her focus is on your hands filling her dish instead!

Pirate Jenny likes affection, but she won’t seek it. She’ll do her own thing most of the day. You’ll primarily see her at meal times. But while you’re puttering around the kitchen, whether making coffee or cooking dinner, she’ll observe. She watches, from her perch on the counter, every move you make. When she’s finished watching, she’ll jump to the kitchen window sill, a favorite spot of hers, to view the action in the back garden.

Speaking of the back garden, Victoria grows a number of vegetables there. During my stay, I was able to pick and cook an eggplant and squash, and also kale leaves for salad and air frying. So delicious!

Victoria was a very informative host. She asked me to arrive the afternoon before her departure, and spent a bit of the evening showing me the ropes, and taking me on routine walks with Ginger that evening and the morning of her trip. The bedroom set up for me had, I must say, a very comfortable mattress and welcoming sunlight through its two large windows.

Even though I was only with them for five days, I became attached to the DC trio. I’d return again to spend time with them.

Our time looking after Truffle was an absolute delight. We fell in love with Truffle who was our constant companion as we visited the local national trust sites, and frequented the English pubs. We still talk about her with our friends. Jacqueline was great in communication as we arranged the sit, and their home was lovely, and right next to the Kings Wood which was fantastic for walking Truffle. All in all a wonderful experience.

Clare and Andrew were wonderful to sit for! They took the time to throughly show me the house and talk through Bruno’s schedule. Excellent communication throughout the whole process, especially for a first time sitter.
The apartment was in walking distance to the centre of Dusseldorf and all amenties, and was very comfortable to stay in! I felt very at home.
Bruno is an absolute sweetie who loves cuddles and play time! I loved spending time with him and miss him so much!
