We truly enjoyed staying at Louisa's apartment in Basel and caring for her adorable kitties, Oscar & Ron! Louisa is very welcoming, easy to communicate with, and provided us with clear instructions on how to care for Oscar & Ron. Louisa's flat is in a great location just minutes from the Rhine River. A quick bus or tram ride to lots of museums, restaurants, Old Town and other great historical sites. Basel is a fantastic city to explore. Her place is modern, bright and comfortable, and being on the top floor, also has a nice outdoor terrace. Oscar and Ron are super easy to care for and are two of the sweetest cats you could ever meet. Ron is a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, will come over for a good petting. Oscar is a bit more outgoing, and so cuddly and affectionate. Oscar also loves being brushed. As they are indoor cats, they really like being around people and will sit with you on the couch or lay with you on the bed. They spend a lot their time napping or playing with one other, which was always good fun to watch. We really enjoyed our stay at Louisa's place caring for Oscar & Ron, and would be happy to sit for her again!
We had an amazing time at Susan's house ! With lovely fur babies full of cuddles and kindness ! Close to everything with a swimming pool and hot bath.. What could be better ? Thanks again for your trust, we wish you all the best !
Paul and his wife are the sweetest human beings. They had so many toys ready for my children to play with, it was so kind of them. They showed me around their gorgeous, super clean and comfortable house and gave super clear and easy instructions. Piper is an adorable retriever, who is very patient and was so tolerant with my 2 little kids hugging her and interacting with her. She is well behaved, very gentle and easy going. What a pleasure to take care of her! The community and views are gorgeous, having trails in the backyard is something we loved. This area is very pretty, especially for outdoor lovers. I would for sure care for Piper again anytime. Thanks Paul and Sally!
John and Maddie are such lovely friendly people to sit for. There two cats Bosco and Bono are absolutely gorgeous . Bowie is so lovely too and we had a great time taking him on walks.
It was such a joy to spend an extended time with Jessie - she is a wonderful soul - timid but playful and can be cuddly once she gets to know you. Shona was super helpful, left all the right info for a comfy sit and even left some yummy gifts for my NY - which I felt really touched by. Really good communication both before and during the sit. The location is soo beautiful (I have lived most of my life in the area and still say that!) with amazing walks right on the doorstep with lots of wildlife to see. The house makes the most of the wonderful views both from the main bedroom and dining room- which I could stare at for hours. Sitting by the log burner with Jessie curled up beside you is a must ✨ Jessie can struggle to feel confident to go outside for her business - I found it really beneficial to get to know her tells and go outside with her onto the beautiful decking to encourage and boost her confidence (this turned into a lovely routine) I would recommend this housesit and thank you so much Jessie, Shona and Jamie for your gracious hosting - I felt right at home.
Cat made us so welcome in her beautiful apartment&was so down to earth&great to communicate with.She has a gorgeous, happy old cat Spooky,who purrs&chats lovingly with the slightest brush or stroke😊shes content to sunbathe on the balconies,eat&snuggles up close on the bed at night,so it was exceptionally easy to enjoy the stunning canal backdrop,shared complex pools&tennis court, all 1street back from the beach&4ks fromSouthport! We felt very lucky to have been Cat&Spookys 1st TrustedHouse-sitters..thanks heaps xx
