We have just returned from a lovely 3 week sit in Rye, throughout which all communication with Vicky and Nigel was excellent. We arrived a couple of hours before their departure and were warmly greeted by Nigel as we approached their stunning property, a converted Oast house. After a cup of coffee, Vicky and Nigel showed us around their beautifully furnished home and extensive garden which is surrounded by fields and woodlands that were perfect for walking Rocker straight from the house. Rocker is a very laid back, 6 year old Cockapoo who is the most lovable little chap. He is very well behaved and has good recall. On walks he is good both on and off the lead. Off the lead he will go ahead, but not too far, and he keeps looking back to make sure that you are still there. He was very happy travelling in the car and we enjoyed numerous long walks with him at both the beach and dunes at Camber Sands, Dungeness, and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Rye itself, is a beautiful, historic, upmarket town with lots of independent shops and antique shops which we enjoyed mooching around. Rocker came too and behaved impeccably and enjoyed the treats that many of the shopkeepers gave him. At home, Rocker was again very well-behaved and he especially enjoyed hugs and cuddles. He is at his happiest snuggling up to you on the couch. All in all he is the most delightful dog to spend time with and we thoroughly enjoyed caring for him. Thank you Vicky and Nigel for trusting us to look after Rocker and your home. We would be absolutely delighted to return in the future.
Ilene and Richard couldn't have been more warm and welcoming. They invited me to their home two days in advance of the sit in order to become familiar with Alice's, habits, routines, quirks and favourite trails in the area - which there are many. They answered all my questions regarding the house and its workings as well. Alice is a lovely, well trained and affectionate Border Collie. She requires lots of physical and mental excercise. If you don't provide it for her she will will insist you do so by using her nose to gentle prod you into action, be it a walk outside or a game of ball rolling in the house. She has excellent recall while off leash but, because of her strong herding instinct, needs to be on leash and closely monitored anywhere near vehicle traffic. She thinks cars are sheep and will try to chase after them. Walks in the urban areas are avoided. I had a very cozy, clean bedroom with a closet and dresser dedicated for my use as well as my own bathroom. I would not hesitate to recommend this sit to anyone who loves a high energy dog and to be active outdoors on hiking trails in the beautiful Sechelt area.
This was simply a perfect sit! Great communication from Sarah right from the start and up to the sit itself. The 3 Whippets are a delight to be around, obedient, gentle fun dogs who bonded with us very quickly. The location is idyllic in a picture postcard property and village with either beautiful walks right from the house or stunning adventures on Dartmoor National Park just a short drive away. With a local friendly pub just a few yards away and traffic free cycle trails all around we would definitely recommend this sit to others. However, you will have to beat us to it! Thank you Sarah and Richard for making us feel so welcome and "at home" within minutes of our arrival.
It was a perfect week with Judy, at Loretta and Paul’s home. Judy is wonderful: she is active during the long morning walk with beautiful views over the valley, but she’s also calm, well behaved and she loooves to cuddle. She’s got a really sweet character and it’s clear that Loretta Paul have taught her well. She’s very easy going with other dogs too, Judy and my dog Mimi became instant friends and spent the whole week close to each other! We’re missing Judy already! The house is just as wonderful as Judy is: I stayed in the apartment next to the pool and it was more than I could have hoped for! It’s very comfortable with all the amaneties you might need, it has nice views, and is just a great space to live in. Loretta and Paul are great hosts, very friendly, open and welcoming. Our communication was very easy from the start, we had a delicious meal before they left on their trip, everything was prepared and organised for my stay and they took time to explain everything and to help me get settled in. They’re just lovely people with an amazing dog and beautiful home, and I hooe to be back for another sit soon! Thank you, gracias!!
I'll start off by saying that both Sasha and Cleo were DELIGHT to look after, incredibly well behaved and affectionate, Sasha enjoys spending time in the Central Park every single time. Niana was very accommodating in welcoming me into her lovely home and ensured I had everything I would need for a successful sit. The apartment itself is gorgeous and the neighbourhood is lovely. It only about 3-5 mins walking distance to Central Park and train station. The door men were super friendly too. I would 100% recommend Niana, Sasha and Cleo to any future sitters!
Esther has a beautiful home in a great Brooklyn neighborhood. Her cat is really easy to take care of and was a pleasure to spend time with.
