We loved being able to take care of the lovely Frieda and Chiecco, they are loving and very polite, I will miss them. They really like to receive affection and attention, Chiecco likes to smile, and Frieda likes to lie down and ask for belly rubs. The house is beautiful and very cozy, we were received very well. Philip and Maria are great hosts. The village is beautiful and cozy, the people are super polite, there is a pub, a cafe, a trail, a cave, very beautiful places to walk with the dogs. Philip was also kind enough to pick us up and take us to the train station, which helped us a lot. It was an enriching experience, we recommend it.
Umbra was such a sweetheart to watch! She's quite vocal and very playful though she does settle down to cuddle on the couch just as well. Be sure to keep an eye on your feet whenever you first enter the house because she's quick on her feet to scamper out (she's incredibly easy to get back in too). Violet was easy to communicate with and quick to respond!
Charlie and Henry are the best company! They are a chill & fun pair. Charlie is very easy to walk, doesn’t make much trouble but he does love to make friends with other dogs. He will walk very slowly when its time to go back home and doesn’t want to yet 😂 Henry is super cuddly, he loves company and will go to Charlie for cuddles as well! He loves to sleep under covers and he will get a little crazy at some time in the evening running around the apartment, he doesn’t like to play alone, he likes you to play with him but also loves to run after little balls. Charlie & Henry get along together really well and loved to sleep with me as well, we built a sweet friendship living together and made me feel at home. Inbal & Ortal are the best hosts ever, relaxed and communicative, made me feel super welcomed in their lovely home, couldn’t ask for a better experience!
I really enjoyed the time in with cat Judi. She was a little bit shy but very sweet. Aarau is a lovely city to visit with a beautiful museum for modern art. From Aarau you can take easily the train to visit other places in Switzerland. Marine welcomed me warm and I felt very comfortable with her and in her house. Thank you Marine!
Carolyn and Simon are just a very lovely and gracious couple. They were very welcoming and they even offered to get me fro/and to the airport. A very comprehensive house manual was provided by email prior to my arrival so I had a fairly good idea of what to expect and upon my arrival, we reviewed everything from the door locks to operating appliances and pet/ plant care. They showed me where and how to get on the bus which is a 10 min walk from the house and we had a little tour of their town. Since it was my very first time in the UK, they also had a long list of ideal places for me to visit starting from their town Stevenage to neighboring towns and of course, London. I had a wonderful time staying at their beautiful home. It has all the amenities and more! The conservatory and the large garden makes for serene lounging with Leo. LEO! He's the star of the show. He is such a sweetheart! He loves food :) He is a lap kitty, he would just be content if you sit or lay down on the sofa and he would just lay on you, gazing at you like "Stay in this position forever". Or he has his usual spots where he goes to sleep. And he loves his outside walks. I was able to explore London (25-30 min by train) most of the time I was there but it was so comforting to have Leo to come "home" to. He was such a joy to care for. I couldn't have asked for a better first house/pet sit ! Thank you Carolyn and SImon for going above and beyond.
