The dogs are adorable, very well behaved and as cute as buttons. We were made to feel really welcome by Jo and John and shown around the house so we knew where everything was. The house is close to Lewes town and overall very comfortable and modern with music available in all rooms via the Alexa robot. 😁
This is the 5th or 6th time I have sat for Maggie and Ian. They are great hosts. Home is very comfortable and clean. Mabel is simply adorable and I already miss her cuddles, little head bumps and kisses.
This was a glorious stay! Emma was super friendly and communicative ahead of the stay, and set me up so well with details on all her animals. You'll fall in love with her playful pups - who are SO sweet and will just love to romp around in fields nearby as often as you'll take them. Bertie especially will walk with you for MILES and is the sweetest, most loyal and energetic pup. I was new to the area and Bertie essentially 'walked' me through all the footpaths - ALWAYS eager to play fetch and guiding me along the way. Bess is older and sweet as can be - don't be alarmed if she takes awhile to come inside from the backyard. She'll come if you call her and is just taking her time (as she should!) The goats were a new experience for me to take care of - but they were so easy and it was a true delight to see them romp around the back yard and nudge each other for dinner. Their cat is sweet as can be and a true adventurer - very self sufficient as she runs around indoors/outdoors. Little hamster friend needed very little care as it was a short stay, but even he was friendly and came out to play at night! The area is gloriously beautiful countryside, with multiple GORGEOUS footpaths starting within a quarter mile of their lovely home. The main street of Chew Magna was really so lovely, with little shops ranging from coffee, to pubs, to little trinkets and books - and of course groceries all within walking distance. It really is an idyllic stay and Emma was kind to share her little slice of countryside paradise with me. Thank you, Emma! I am so grateful!
Jennifer and Ken were welcoming and their cat Samson was a delight. I hope so sit for them again in the future.
Thank you Paola and Roger for a fantastic week in your beautiful top floor apartment with a view to the snow-covered mountains and lake Luzern, a short walk away. Ray and Jessy are the best feline companions one could wish for. Ray, sleek, regal, with the most gorgeous golden-brown striped coat is the queen. She loves to hang in her hammock and oversee her domain from the high perch on the cat tower. Jessy, a black and white tuxedo kitty, black mask and big round eyes, reminds me of Zorro the famous swashbuckler, swift, agile, always alert and wild at play. She knows how to charm you weaving in and out of your legs, tail high, inviting affection when she pleases, on her own terms. You can’t help but fall in love with them. I have a big smile thinking of cuddly queen Ray and zesty Miss Zorro and miss them already. Thank you again Paola and Roger for the delicious dinner we had together and the fun talks. Sarah was lovely,showed me around and let me sleep there the night before as she was leaving early the next day . Communication was excellent during the sit . Chiko was the sweetest chattiest cat .Very independent but loved to come and her cat yoga in front of you ,have a chat and chase after her treats . The lacation is good ,6mins walk to the bus but further if you wanted the local shops .Bus takes you into Chingford which is a lovely town with everything you need and the beautiful Epping forest. A easy commute into central London in about 50 mins . All in all a good stay and would recommend this sit .
