Best pet sitter ever!

Rover is terrible for sitters/walkers. For one, they don’t list any information about the dog before you’re requested for the job. I work on Wag! too and you get to see all sorts of details about what the dog is like, what they need from you, if you’re required to stay overnight, etc. Rover doesn’t show you any of that—you have to message the owner to ask. And on Wag!, we get to see a list of available jobs and decide whether or not to apply for them once you have all the information. With Rover, you just have to wait for people to request you. And then you end up having to turn them down because you had zero information before they requested you and it doesn’t fit with what you’re comfortable with or need, because you can’t fill any of that out either. And worse, they are insanely misleading about your payout. When I accepted my first job, it said $80. I thought that was a great rate so I took it. Turns out that’s what the owner pays but that’s before Rover takes their 20% cut. I only got paid $64. Wag! is far superior in every way.

Don’t do it!! We had the worst experience of our lives. We left after a successful meet and greet to go to Florida. Our pets were in the care of Miranda B. For 8 days, she took my smallest dog out twice and he didn’t use the restroom once. She barely let my other 2 out. I hired her to stay in my house and care for my 4 animals for 8 days. Barely any food was missing and they acted like they hadn’t seen water in days. All of my dogs seemed traumatized. She didn’t clue me in one time about the fact that she was struggling. I would’ve gladly helped her. We told her to make herself at home and told her if worse comes to worse let us know as we have family in the area. Not one call, text, message. There was a day where she didn’t let my other 2 out from 6 am to 7:40pm. Unacceptable and criminal. I complained to rover support and they did refund us but we needed to submit a claim as our house was destroyed. She let the animals pee on our furniture for 8 days. Urine was soaked into my baseboards. They have a rover guarantee but they do not honor it. They offered to reimburse cleaning basically as a courtesy because they said that they don’t cover damage to a pet owners home caused by their pet. Which I explained, Remy can’t open a door to let himself out. She was supposed to take him out. So she damaged our home. She confessed to Rover that she got in over her head and should’ve reached out but she didn’t message us once to apologize. Rover has not honored their guarantee, allowed us to review her or removed her for the safety of other pets. She is still on there with a 5 star review sitting as a number one recommendation. If this review is still up it means they are still not taking care of their responsibilities and doing the right thing. We actually ended up asking for about half of the amount once we assessed the items.

Hired a house sitter through Rover. House sitter left my dog alone for 12 hours, took her outside for 3 minutes, didn’t take her out again for another 12 hours, and this time gave her a whole 2 minutes outside. When a friend arrived to check on her, she was out of water and desperately needed to poo. I asked the house sitter to leave. Rover allowed her to charge me a $95 cancellation fee, despite evidence (through the door records on my alarm system) of the neglect. They now refuse to answer my questions around at what point they would not allow a cancellation fee/remove a pet sitter from the app. I will not use them again.

Have had many good experiences with Rover. I rely on it when I need to go out of town. My dog has always come back happy and in one piece. I'm grateful to be able to depend on Rover to find backup! Everyone I've met has been a true animal lover. Rover team does a good job with responsiveness as well.

We rely on Rover to care for our dog 3-5 times a week while we are at work. Using Rover is convenient and more affordable than other dog walking/daycare services. While the vast majority of our walker experiences have been positive, we have had a few negative experiences (primarily walkers not showing up at scheduled time or neglecting to lock our front door after they leave). Regardless, we will continue using Rover for our regular dog walking needs.

They greatly fail protecting clients and pet sitters. Go with independent, licensed, and REAL insured petsitters. I was a petsitter through Rover for 7 years with over 160 five star reviews. The "Rover Support Team" have little to no prior experience in the pet care industry and fail to address most problems. I am moving forward with going LLC and officially beginning my own independent pet-care services fully insured and with a website/app for my clients that have chosen to follow me from Rover. Do your research on Rover and see how much they lack in integrity and quality. You will be shocked. Look up on Reddit from former/current Rover Support Team members on how they address problems. Look them up on the BBB.

End of June, I hired a sitter for 8 days through Rover. Five days later my dog was brought to the emergency hospital totally desydrated with acute gastro enteritis...vomitting bile & blood with diahrea. Rover warranties do not cover enteritis & I was not compensated for my vet bill of 3300$. Thankfully, my dog was saved by the wonderful vets. Be aware that only "YOU" the owner will be responsible if something bad happens to your dog. PS= the sitter was not experienced except for the fact that she herself had a dog which gives the impression that they will hire anyone who applies for a sitter job.

I've been using Rover for over a year and have found some great sitters and walkers. It is great to have access to walkers for any last minute needs. The app itself could use some improvements to make it more user friendly and add features.

Rover has been a life-saver for us. When we adopted our senior dog Winston, we knew he was deaf but we didn't really understand the extent of his separation anxiety. Being alone for more than a minute caused him extreme panic, which resulted in ear-piercing (since he's deaf, he can't hear himself), heart-breaking howling. We bring him with us as much as possible, but every once in a while, we just have to go somewhere dogs aren't welcomed. Rover is an amazing service that has allowed us to find people who can take care of him when we need a night out, a dog-free travel experience, or when both of us have to go somewhere that isn't dog-friendly. He's not a good candidate for traditional doggy daycare facilities due to his medical needs, but the in-home experiences he has had have been wonderful. We have a few Rover sitters we use regularly so that we always have an option for his care where he is safe and in familiar surroundings. Thank you to Rover for connecting us with these wonderful pet sitters.

I found our dog sitter on Rover several years ago and she has been absolutely fantastic! This website is so easy to use and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is seeking someone to trust with their beloved pet.

Wonderful experience with PetSitter Portland!! Our senior pup was well cared for while we were out of town. Great communication!! Pictures were sent and a description of how each visit went was relayed as soon as they were done. I could recommend Joe, Janice and Priscilla anytime!! Each one was very sweet and patient with our girl. It was a great experience from the time I inquired about their services, the meet and greet and set up for care. They have a great app that allows you to easily schedule, communicate, request extra services such as setting out the recycle and watering plants if needed. PetSitter Portland was great to work with and took wonderful care of our cat, Mochi. If you have questions they are quick to respond. It was a relief to know she was being well cared for while we were away. The journal entry and pictures they provide after each visit was so nice to receive. I am relieved to know I have someone to call when we will be gone.

Joe and his team are amazing! We were really worried when our usual cat sitter was not available and were apprehensive about someone else watching our kitty Luna while we were away. I saw the great reviews and looked at the website and decided I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did! Shortly after making my account, Joe gave me a call to introduce himself, talked to me about his services, and gave me a run down of how everything works. This made the experience a lot more personable and I liked that we could simply call him if we had questions or concerns about the process. We scheduled a meet and greet so we could see if this would be a good fit and everything went well. While we were away, we got lots of photo and written updates about each visit. Joe spent a lot of quality time with Luna and followed her complex feeding instructions. He always made sure to play with her and gave her lots of love. She’s usually a little timid and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly she warmed up to him. We have now used his services for two separate weekends and everything has gone great. I had an amazing experience working with Joe and his team! I contacted them last minute after another sitter plan fell through just days before my trip. I was nervous to leave my two dogs with someone I didn’t know, but from the beginning, Joe was extremely thorough, walked me through the process, and answered all of my questions with detail. Once we went away, he sent very frequent and thorough updates which were so reassuring. Joe went above and beyond to make sure my two dogs were comfortable and kept up with their regular routines while we were away. I have never left a review on a business before, but this business deserves the 5 stars. I recently moved into an apartment and as a young woman who works long hours with a varying schedule, I needed to find a reliable and safe solution to take my dog out for potty/walk breaks while I’m at work. The team of people who are on this crew are all very kind and great with Sammy (my 11 year old dog). They are attentive, reliable, communicative, and kind. It can feel intimidating as a young woman to let people into your space and care for your animal but i immediately felt ease when i had the opportunity to meet a few members of the crew. They utilize an app that allows for easy scheduling, and messaging. I receive photos and journals after each visit that reassures me that Sammy is well cared for. I highly recommend this company and crew if you are looking for a dog walking/ animal care service. We recently used Pet Sitter Portland for round the clock care for our two dogs and they hit it out of the park. The website/app is great and easy for setting the schedule and seeing that the requested service occurs. The progress reports and tons of photos, cute and quirky, give real time updates. I feel so lucky to have found Pearl Paws, they’ve been my go-to sitter for years! They’re so great about doing whatever they can to fit me into their schedule and I have complete peace of mind when my animals are with them. My dog, Charlie, loved to have sleepovers at their home when I was gone and my cat Kalinka always enjoys their visits to our home. Tony and Nikki are both compassionate, trusting, dedicated, and respectful animal lovers who have been caring for our two cats for several years. When my partner and I leave town I know we will get frequent updates usually with fantastic photos that make us smile while we’re away. Additionally, they have always handled any changes to our cats’ care (I.e., providing medication) with no issues. Nikki and Tony go above and beyond by taking care our home and making sure we come back to a clean apartment. We highly recommend Pearl Paws for your pet care needs.

Tony and Niki are the best. There is NO OTHER comparison. We trust them completely with our girls. If there was an option for a 6th star then I would give them that. My dogs are my children and I only trust them with Tony and Niki.

Londa has amazing energy and is a true pet whisperer, and made me feel extremely confident about leaving my precious fur babies to her warm, gentle, and highly professional care. I will never use anyone else as I could not ask for more. One of my kitties has ongoing health issues and is in need of special care, and Londa always deals thoroughly and lovingly with all her extra medical needs. I also love that I receive updates and photos from her that keeps me connected to my furry friends and peace of mind knowing they are happy and healthy while I am away. This review is long over-due. Holly has been caring for our 4 animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) for quite a while now, and she has been absolutely stellar! She is very communicative and very compassionate in the care of our animals. Pricing is fair. Two of our animals have medical issues and one of our dogs in particular has some mobility issues. Holly is always attentive and ensures our pup gets to play without pushing herself too far (she would play fetch all day if she could). When Holly cares for your animals, you can tell she really treats them like family. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Holly for all you do for our family! PS: She takes some pretty great photos!

We left our pet rabbit with Holly for a week. I knew right away that she was in good hands. Holly carefully went over all the instructions with us before we said good bye and made sure our little bunny had a comfortable set up. Then, amazingly, we got wonderful photos and updates throughout the week. Everyone was having a good time together. Holly provided care for our two cats for a week. I could tell by the cute pictures she sent each day that the cats were very comfortable with her. She even took care of an ant evasion we had, putting out ant traps we had to keep the pests away from the cat food! She always replied promptly to texts we sent while away. She checks on my girl reliably and sends me photo updates everyday so I feel reassured that everything is ok back home. Holly has been incredible with our 1+ yo dog, Maggie. Maggie is full of energy and love and needs a lot of attention and play. My husband and I LOVE the team over at PetPals! We were in the market for pet care as we foster failed with a sweet (yet difficult) rescued Pom just two months before our wedding! I can't say enough good things about the crew at PetPals. Ashly and Georgia are phenomenal and communicative, and each of the Pals we've worked with have been so warm and friendly, and of course, great with our girls (two dogs). With most of our family out of state, my husband and I sometimes have to make last-minute or long trips away, sometimes under stressful circumstances, and I can't emphasize the relief and peace of mind PetPals brings in those situations. I know the girls are going to be well taken care of, and we get adorable pupdates every day, so even when we can't be there, we can still see them. One of our gals wasn't particularly fond of men, but she adored Khail, one of the Pals—and I think that says a lot about the people at PetPals! They're just the best :)

PetPals, LLC has been absolutely wonderful to our special needs pup Gus. They go above and beyond to ensure that your pet is well taken care of and provide pictures and a report card after every service. Georgia the owner even called me personally to check in on how my dog was doing which was amazing and so above and beyond. They are also so quick to respond through the online portal. Lisa is our weekly walker, and I can’t say enough good things about her and how she treats our special needs pup. We are so lucky to have her to rely on every week while we are at work. In addition to walking him, she does little things to go above and beyond, such as wipe his paws, refill his water, put on his rain coat, give him treats in his kong, straighten out the sofa dog covers, and give him pills if needed at a specific time. You can definitely feel confident that your pets are in the best hands with this team!

Great personalized service! Ashly and her team obviously love animals. They are very responsive to special requests. You get a detailed email report right after every visit, with photos! Highly recommended.

Wow! Olive is awesome! She responded to our messages quickly, came and met our animals before we left for vacation, took very detailed notes, and was professional throughout the entire process. While we were gone, we got daily updates and photos, so that we could trust our animals were happy and in good hands. Olive went above and beyond to ensure that my rabbit was getting the care she needed when I was out of town. The day before I left for my trip, my rabbit stopped eating her servings of fresh greens, which made me very worried about her health. My rabbit was selectively still eating treats, so Olive was creative and patient with my rabbit and used the treats to get her to eat her greens. Olive sent videos and updates with my rabbit’s progress and was able to get her back to her normal eating habits in a day! I’m very thankful to have found Olive. It’s such a relief knowing that my rabbit is in great hands when I’m out of town. If you’re looking for someone you can trust and who cares about your pet, look no further!

My dog comes home tired and happy! Love the staff, they take great care of the dogs and are very attentive! They even recognized that my puppy needs naps during the day to help her make it to the evening without getting grumpy. Highly recommend!

The staff here is incredible and I feel completely safe leaving my pup with them. My dog always is thrilled to go to daycare and comes home as a tired, snuggle dream dog. The folks are kind, thoughtful, and really flexible on days we come. Pick up/drop off is a breeze and never takes longer than a minute. One thing, the space isn’t ginormous. It’s a good size for the number of dogs, but I often wish there was more space for both the employees and pups alike. However - can’t beat the location!

I travel often to Portland on business and like to bring along my Aussie-doodle for company on the long drive from California. But keeping her active and entertained while I work has been hard on both of us. Colleagues suggested dog daycare as a solution and No Bonz is great. The staff is wonderful, the facility is convenient and the hours are extended so that I could drop her off early and pick her up at the end of my day. The dog cam is a fabulous way to see how the dogs are doing. Cannot imagine taking her anywhere else. What a terrific service for those of us who travel with dogs, but who need a sitter for a few hours or a whole day. So happy to have found this fabulous facility.

Our dog Amos has been going to No Bonz for a little while now, and he loves it! We bring him in once a week for him to socialize with other pups. Fair price for a whole day, and the staff is really friendly and attentive. They really do care about the dogs!

First off the employees here are saints! If I had to listen to dogs bark all day I may lose my mind. So, thank you. Easy drop off/pick up process. If my pup is not coming I can just shoot them an email to let them know. I like I can check in on the live cams (sorry Crumly jumps on you guys so much). I am grateful this is a short walk from my home and my pup comes home tired. Great prices too! Highly recommended:)

My 6 month old pup Baloolah had her first day of day care here today. She was a bit shy but then got more comfortable. The staff was sweet in telling me about her day and how she handled this new environment. I picked up a very happy dog today :) Being able to watch the dogs on camera from my phone or computer is pretty great too #spycam. We will definitely be back! I appreciate the attentiveness and kind attitude of the staff. Thanks!

This place is great! They actually are open before I have to be at work and stay open until after I get off work, unlike so many other daycares. The manager, Mike is so awesome and nice. My dogs love him and he knows every dogs name by heart. Opal has such a sweet gentle way with the dogs and treats them like they were her own. The place always smells good when I come in and my dogs are always happy when they leave. I highly recommend bringing your pets here!

This place is seriously amazing. My dog has never been happy to go to a daycare yet going here he seems reluctant to leave the little traitor. The employees are really top notch. Their rates are fair and they are real professionals who know how to have fun and wear an active dog out for the day. I will be going here for a long time to come.

Excellent Doggie Daycare. Our 9 month old Cocker Spaniel is having a great time at No Bones About It. I have found the staff to be extremely attentive, kind and caring toward the dogs. It's a wonderful facility and it would be easy to imagine a bunch of toddlers playing on the slides and ramps. Vinnie now jumps into his car carrier with the hopes that is where he is heading. I also like the flexibility of choosing days rather than having to commit to any sort of regular schedule. I recommend them highly!

My dog and I love this place so much! It is no-frills, but I trust my dog's instincts, and his reaction tells me all I need to know. At other daycares, he whined and tried to pull back from the door, even after months. But beginning with his second day at No Bonz, he scrambled right in...I cease to exist once the building is in his sight. The staff care and love dogs SO much. They are always up and interacting with them every time I log on to the cams. Once when picking my dog up, the front desk person went to the back and said, "I need Asher," and I heard someone else say a disappointed, "aww!" 😄 You won't get a report card here -- the employees are too busy paying attention to your dog -- but they'll tell you how he did and anything you need to watch out for. They were willing to work with my rescue boy, who has some emotional baggage and has failed daycare evals and even been kicked out of one. They offer a discount for employees of major health systems in the area, and best of all for me, they open at 6:30 so I can be at work by 7. Asher and I are so fortunate to have found No Bonz! 💕

We are so grateful for the care Richard provides for our sweet dog Elsa. He has been letting her out and taking her on walks every week since she was a puppy. Our schedule changes constantly and I often have to contact Richard at the last minute for a visit. He is extremely flexible, understanding, and always responds immediately. Richard is always available when we need him and we know Elsa is in good hands!

Richard has been walking my two dogs for three months now. He is always willing to walk my dogs even when contacted on the same day I need his services. He is reliable and best of all my dogs adore him and are always happy to see him. I would recommend Richard to anyone who wants assurance that he will go the extra mile to care for your animals.

Richard is exceptional. In 2.5 years of dog walking he has never canceled a walk or said no to last minute needs. He has never raised his prices and he always comes on time. He walks our dog Libby who is aggressive with other dogs and has handled her so well- she loves him. He also cat sits for us when we leave town and goes above and beyond, stopping by our house in the morning and evening to let our cat in and out so she can get some fresh air. He has been so important to the health and happiness of our pets, we think of him as family!

Richard watches our two cats every time we go out of town! He's reliable, great with the cats, they are happy to stay at home, and his rates are affordable. When we come back, the cats are happy and the litter boxes are clean. We are very happy with the service that Sunnyside Home Pet Care provides and recommend Richard to anyone looking for a pet sitter.

I’m so glad we found Richard to take care of our Yorkie - Pom Rico Puff. Rico instantly liked Richard and I could tell he would take good care of him. Richard is great! I highly recommend Sunnyside Petcare. He comes to our house on short notice and takes care of our pets. He is very responsible and even finds substitute pet walkers for our dog at no extra cost when he can not make it. He is also great at communicating any issues that come up. We trust him with our dog and recommend him to all of our friends.

When I first adopted my puppy, Fluffhead, I felt incredibly guilty for leaving him at home while I was in the office. I told my vet that I was stressed out about affording the rates of most dog walkers, and she immediately recommended Richard's services. Richard came over and hit it off with Fluffhead right away, spoiling him with treats and attention. Since then, Richard has come in two or three times a week, unfailingly responsible, flexible, and friendly. Even when I email him the same morning asking for a walk, he always makes time in his schedule. Lastly, I can tell that he really cares about Fluffhead...for the first couple of weeks he would text me about their walks, letting me know that all was well. I feel so lucky to have him in my neighborhood, and I know Fluffhead feels the same way!

This man is a bit unhinged and outright unstable. I don't know what lead to his owns dogs death...(not natural causes) but I can not trust him with my own.

They took care of my baby girl Noodle for two separate stays and I will always consider them in the future. They give you updates and photos of your baby while you’re away. So attentive and fun for my cats. Only complaint was it was hard to find at first.

In terms of cat boarding - Pounce is the wholly grail. Windy and staff are pros and absolutely LOVE cats! I felt very comfortable and over-joyed to see my boy playing with other cats while I was away. We certainly both had a great vacation. 100% would recommend to others.

I adopted a very shy, scared adult kitty, Cady, in March who had been in and out of a shelter and foster care for over a year. She spent the first three months with me under the bed. I travel quite a bit and had taken my previous cat to Pounce for four years so was familiar with their loving care. After a couple of stays at Pounce Cady started to spend more of her time out from under the bed at home coming to me for pets but never purring or getting on my lap. I brought Cady home three days ago after her stay at Pounce and she now lays on my lap purring her little heart out. I don’t believe she would have blossomed so quickly (seven months) if it weren’t for all the love she got from Windy, Lexie, and Jaiden at Pounce. They are the best!

Highly recommend this place!!! I was out of town for almost two weeks, and I was extremely hesitant to board my cat, because he is a pandemic pet who has had basically no socialization and never been away from us for any significant amount of time. After some research, I chose Pounce and Play to board my cat and it went great!! This is truly a business by and for cat lovers. 🐈‍⬛ Windy was very understanding of my anxieties about leaving my cat and did a great job of explaining how cats are introduced to the communal space to ensure their safety and comfort. They gave me daily updates (with photos!) about how he was doing and what kind of attention he was getting from the staff. Windy has a strong risk management mentality, so even if your cat is super shy, they'll be comfortable and safe. Pick up and drop off was smooth, booking was well done...just every step of the way was great. You really can't go wrong with these folks.

They loved on my Tex for 12 whole days. This is the best place for keeping kitties happy while their hoomans have to be away. He was a happy boy.

I love this place. I boarded my cat here for over a week while I was on vacation. They sent multiple updates (with pictures - one is attached) which gave me peace of mind. When I picked her up it was clear how much attention they paid to her - she was so fluffy from multiple brushings! Windy was very communicative throughout the booking process as well. She was great to work with! I will definitely bring my girl here next time I’m away.

I love the service at Pounce and Play. Last time I was late to drop off and they stayed late to take in my kitty. I am so grateful to have this cat hotel in town, where my Siamese can make friends, play all day, and have his own cabana at night. They always send update photos to make me smile while I’m away. They take such good care of the cats and establish relationships with each pet. Would highly recommend them— Dio loves to go!

My cat Ringo stayed here for couple days. They took excellent care of him. Sent daily updates with pictures. good Place and we will come again. Highly recommended

I have 2 cats who regularly board here. The staff are so nice and really care for my boys. I always feel very comfortable leaving them here, sometimes for a few days and sometimes for a week+. It seems like my cats have fun too! One of my cats is super friendly, and the other is a bit “less outgoing” to put it nicely, but the staff work with him and he seems to be relaxed and enjoying himself soon enough. So thankful for Pounce Play and Stay!!!

I was in a little bit of a safety emergency and wanted to make sure my cat Venus, would be cared for in my absence. I called and they were able to get Venus in same day (she was updated on all her shots/vaccines) and when they asked when I could pick her up, I told them it was a little bit in the air because of circumstances at home and they were so incredibly understanding and flexible and kind. In general I was a mess emotionally and missed my cat so much and they texted me EVERYDAY with updates of my cat and pictures and it put me at so much ease. I am so grateful to you guys for showing not just my animal kindness but to me as well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You’ll see us again, and this time not in such a dire situation. 😊
