Fiona and Stephen were such delightful hosts - fun, friendly and fascinating. We really enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. And of course, we felt privileged to spend the weekend at their wonderful home. Their extremely loving dogs and a magnificent pet peacock (!) made our time at "The Old Rectory" feel like the perfect Devon adventure. We enjoyed playing fetch with their golden retriever Safi for hours on their expansive back lawn, taking a walk around the lovely surrounding countryside, and just lounging in their very comfortable and well-appointed home. Our communication with Fiona before and during the sit was fluid and easy. She really seemed to care that our stay was convenient and enjoyable as possible. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We very much hope to sit for Fiona and Stephen in the future and look forward to playing with Safi and Kiwi again!
Wow, another wonderful cat-sitting experience, which confirms that my decision to register with Trusted Housesitters was one of the best decisions, I have made in recent years! Frankie is one of the sweetest souls, I have ever sitted. He has a great character and is extremely affectionate and cuddly, very communicative and really funny, and you feel in a minute, that he is very much loved by Cara and Simon. Me too, I immediately fall in love with him and will terribly miss him! Cara and Simon are wonderful hosts. They are super friendly, very welcoming and I felt at home from the first moment. Communication with them prior and during to the sit was unproblematic and they gave clear instructions on everything one could need during the sit. Frankie, Cara and Simon live in a cozy flat near to public transport in one of the most popular neighborhoods of Berlin, and supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants are at a stone's throw. Thank you, Cara and Simon, for entrusting me with your baby. Frankie is a delight to care for! If you want to take care of a super sweet cat in a fantastic environment, don't hesitate to sit at Cara' and Simon's. I do highly recommend sitting this wonderful creature, and I really hope to have myself the opportunity to sit him again in the future. Thanks again, Cara and Simon, for this wonderful experience.
We fell in love on this sit! Fred is an adorable young cat. He's soft and cuddly, adventurous and playful but also independent. A joy to look after. Alex and Fred have a beautiful home with lovely countryside views. They were very considerate hosts. We had a choice of bedrooms and they ensured that the house was warm. A very comfortable place to stay, despite some grim weather! We enjoyed exploring this ancient area with its Doomsday villages, sandy beach and good pubs and restaurants. Rye is close by and well worth a visit. We highly recommend this sit.
It was really a pleasure meeting Barry and Jackie and taking care of their wonderful dog, Cosmo. I enjoyed the walks with the beautiful views of the Bay Area. It was also fun getting to play on their piano and play a few songs for Barry, Jackie, and Cosmo. Barry and Jackie were so helpful in having me stay a few extra nights after my car was broken into and I was dealing with logistics to resolve that. I would recommend that sitters park their car in the carport under the home if they can fit their vehicle there, and to be extra cautious as there have been frequent car break-ins around the Bay area. But don't let that stop you from enjoying a peaceful and relaxing time, this really was a wonderful time in a cool area. It's close to so many cool places, and I had so much fun playing music at an open mic nearby in Berkeley. Would highly recommend this site for future sitters!
I enjoyed my stay at Shane's. The house was nice, and comfy, with all the amenities you can think of. Ideally located in town next to all the shops. Crash is a lovely chap and full of energy. He needs to walk and exercise. He loves playing with a frisbee and he's very good at it. He's responsive out of the lead and listens well. I had a good time enjoying the outdoors and visiting a bit more about Yorkshire. I recommend staying there and exploring the surroundings.
