Jenna was great to book with as she was very friendly, gave me all the info I needed to take great care of Grace, and her home was very clean and in a quiet part of OB. She’s close to the beach, restaurant, stores, and a ton of Free little libraries in the neighborhood. I was nervous about not having AC as there were a few really hot days, but San Diego weather makes it easy. Her unit gets a great cross breeze with the door open. Her neighbor is really nice and friendly too, so I felt right at home. Grace is such a sweet girl! She lovesssss to cuddle especially in bed, but listens well when it’s time to sleep lol. She’s also great to walk, loves everyone she sees, and will lay on the ground for belly rubs, it’s so precious. She only barked when she saw the mailman which I had been warned of. I was also warned about Grace’s issues with cats and skateboards. We only saw one cat and Grace redirected so well! She reacted a bit more to the skateboard but calmed down after a few minutes and a chat. Just follow Jenna’s recommendations and you shouldn’t have an issue. Mostly, Grace was happy to sleep at my feet or on the porch while I worked from home! Can’t wait to come back!
If you get the opportunity to sit for Rufio, say YES immediately! Afton and Trevor made us feel comfortable from the start, and we absolutely adored sweet Rufio. Rufio is a sweet, goofy, well-trained, and happy boy, and we miss him already. Afton and Trevor's home is everything we have ever dreamed of and is located right along the river. It was amazing to sip coffee and watch the ducks float by out their windows. They have a great bike path and trail system behind their house and we were able to take Rufio out for hikes and runs. We hope to have the opportunity to sit for them again down the line. Thanks Afton and Trevor!
Staying at Alan and Judy’s house looking after Tucker and Sidney was such a nice stay. The communication with Alan from the beginning was great and this continued in the months leading up to my sit as well as during my sit. Their home is very clean, comfortable and the lake view is incredible. Tucker is a very sweet dog and was so easy to look after. I enjoyed all of our walks and miss him! Sidney was also great once he warmed up to me and then he was more than happy to come sit with me. I couldn’t have asked for a better first time sit. I would highly recommend sitting for Alan and Judy!
Lisa and I were able to meet in person prior to her travel dates, so I could meet her sweet cats and tour the house. She was very upfront and explained that there could be a possibility of her dog also staying with me during a portion or all of my stay. (Which was totally fine). Turned out I met her dog Martha, on my first day/night and then left to stay with a family friend for the remainder of my housesit. Simon and Trixie (cats) and sweet and playful. Martha (dog) could not have been any sweeter and oh my goodness she is smart. Lisa had a wonderful kitchen, cozy backyard and crazy comfortable bed. All of this made for a very easy pet-sitting experience. I’d be happy to help her out again anytime.
Lucy and Max are the best hosts. From their beautiful home to the lovely energy they and their pets have, everything was wonderful. Taking care of Nudge and Leti was a delightful experience. They are two very special, loving, and playful dogs. I didn't have any problems with them. Lucy and Max were very clear about their behaviors and care needs, which gave me a lot of confidence and security. I highly recommend visiting Southampton and having the privilege of experiencing it with Leti and Nudge, with the help of Lucy and Max. I am leaving super happy.
Jenny and Roger are a lovely welcoming couple. They made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay, and to know what I needed while keeping Coco content and happy. Coco is such a gentle, sweet character. She is a sheer delight. The time with Coco in her comfortable, welcoming home went too quickly, but I left with fond memories of a lovely family and a special kitty, Coco.
