Leya
Leya and Al had great communication with us prior to and during the sit, we felt very comfortable in their home with the dogs. A welcome guide was provided, not only telling us about the dogs but also local restaurants and attractions
Cam and Axle were both lovable and very well trained. Enjoyed throwing the ball for Axle often through the day and no worries about bring off leash. Cam was laid back and cuddly when sitting on the floor with him. It was so nice to have both dogs excited to see us after a few hours being away touring near by towns
We would definitely recommend this sit and miss Cam and Axle already!

Lucy
I had a lovely time looking after sweet Basil. Prior to the sit I met him and Lucy and she showed me around the place and explained everything. The flat is super cosy and I had everything I needed. Basil is very independent and outside a lot, but loves his cuddles when he’s inside. He also slept on my bed, which was cute. I already miss him. I’d absolutely recommend the sit. Thanks for having me and until next time!

Mark
I had a wonderful weekend looking after Mouse -- this whole family (human and animal) are very laid-back, and very kind. Mouse warms up to a new person in the house very easily; with a bit of conversation and some slightly aggressive forehead rubs, he will curl right up into your lap. Also, he actually looks like a Mouse. An adorable and cuddly roommate.

Note that the auto-feeder either doesn't go off exactly on the dot every day, or the times listed in the welcome guide were a little bit different than the times that the robot had programmed. Give it half an hour, and it will shoot out a little handful of food. Also, the garbage and recycling drop-off is located about a half a block up, but looks a little like someone's garage :).

Mark and Paula's extremely cozy home is located a short drive from Whistler Village and backs onto one of Whistler's largest trail systems, with beautiful mountain views right out the door. It was really nice to be near town, but in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. A couple of restaurants, a micro-brewery, and the famed pure bread are a 10-minute walk away. Scandinave is a 5-minute drive north of Whistler Village, and a great place to soak your bones after a weekend of hiking around gorgeous lakes and waterfalls.

Lastly, note that the cost of living in Whistler is extremely high, and this community is full of low-income service workers that are working hard to show visitors a good time. Additionally, this community was undoubtedly hit very hard by the cessation of tourism over the last couple of years. This housesit offers a good opportunity to use some of the cash that you are saving on accommodations to tip folks generously.

Many thanks Mark, Paula, and Mouse, for a wonderful weekend in your welcoming home. I left full of fresh air, cuddles, carbs, and gratitude. I would recommend this house sit and come back any time :).
