Although I have used TH several times since 2018, this is the first review I have submitted. Tom has restored my faith in both TH in general and sitters under 30 in particular! Tom arrived late on a Friday night and I did not leave until Monday afternoon so I could show him around. At some point either on Saturday or early Sunday I noticed Tigger following him around. It was obvious he wanted to be close to Tom. I had never seen Tigger do this before. The previous sitter took good care of them, but I did not see much affection or connection even after 4 months together. With Tom I could see it almost immediately. It was mutual between him and the dogs. He cooked their meat and veggies to mix in with the kibble, gave Tigger his obligatory supplement every day and walked them very early on the beach before the sun was too hot, playing with them in the ocean at times. I received photos and an occasional video of them and could see how happy they were - to the point where I thought they might get depressed when he left! Fortunately, they didn't... Tom is just so calm with a lovely energy that the dogs obviously sense. Considering his prior experiences were mostly with cats I was surprised at how quickly he "clicked" with them and would highly recommend him as a sitter for any pet. If I could give him more than 5 stars in the pet care category I would! He did not complain when the internet was erratic and/or the electricity went off (for some reason, much more during the 2 months he was here than usually happens in the better part of a year!), but let me know so I could contact the neighbors and find out what was going on. As for the house and my possessions (I put those in the "tidiness" category) I have yet to have any sitter who has not left at least a few or sometimes many things either broken or damaged or even lost, not to mention dirty - even though they were clean when the sit started. The difference with Tom was that he good-naturedly came back (he stayed nearby at a new friend's house for a few days after the sit) and spent the better part of an afternoon cleaning most of the things that had been left dirty. And when I pointed out some damage to a wall he offered to pay to fix it (I did not accept, but very much appreciated the offer). Speaking of cleaning, I bought a brand new vacuum right before the previous sit started in order to make cleaning easier for the sitter. It was still in the box. When I returned it was lying on the living room floor covered in thick dust on the outside and filthy inside the drum where the filthy filters were; and the tube and attachment were completely clogged. I cleared out the tube, but gave up on the drum and filter after removing some of the dirt. I wasn't even sure it would work. Tom cleaned it all up and was able to use it! He also helped me upload a couple of photos onto my listing. He is so pleasant and considerate, asking about things he was in doubt about instead of just doing them and hoping he had made the right choice - unfortunately, I can't think of a specific instance right now and since I believe today is the last day to submit the review they will remain unsaid. In closing, I would like to publicly thank Tom for giving such loving care to Tigger and Shala. I highly recommend that you choose him as a sitter - your pets will thank you! :)

Lauren was wonderful!! I've never left my young siamese cat with a cat sitter and he took to her right away. She sent me pictures daily and gave me updates on his crazy antics. She waited to meet me upon my return from being out of town for the week, gave me a run down and left the apartment spotless. I would highly recommend her to anyone and hope she is available for my future trips out of town!

Henry is one cool cat. Enjoyed my time in Asheville and caring for such a sweet cat.
Tara's home is in a central area close to all you'd want for activities and comfort. Highly recommend.

We spend very nice days with Mario and Oscar in the beautiful house of Steph and Mark, and we would do it again, the neighborhood is also very nice. Thanks and regards! Fer and Shei.

Jennifer and Don are warm and welcoming hosts with a beautifully stylish and comfortable home. It was a great time taking care of Teddy as well. He is a very sweet dog and a good boy who loves to stay close to his caretaker. I’ll definitely miss him!

Nice sit-uation! Jean and Frank are lovely people with a nice, well-organized home . They were kind and gracious to me and had me over for dinner the night before they left, and even offered to take me to a meal after the sit to thank me! The house has a great desk and office with a few monitors, a mini-gym, a huge well supplied kitchen (they have been to cooking schools), a screened in porch, and a well tuned piano.

Their sweet dog Leo is a big love muffin - always friendly, wagging his tail, and unaware of his 100 pounds. I enjoyed playing fetch with him in the backyard and our regular 2x / day walks. He can pull at his leash when he sees other dogs and I had to let go (to preserve my arm!) a few times; it's just his exuberance to play with other dogs. He does have a tendency to wander off and around the neighbor's house or take himself on a walk, so you have to watch him, but he stays within eye sight. Every one in the neighborhood, which is an especially friendly and close-knit community, knows and likes Leo. If you get a chance to take him to the beach, as I did, he will love it, and even get in the water and run around. He's loyal, affectionate, and sweet. You may have to set boundaries and not have sleep on the bed with you, as 100 pounds is a bit too much when he moves at all - but he'll happily be shown to another room and another bed and stay there.

Overall, if you like and can handle big dogs, and enjoy an affectionate lab, you will enjoy Leo!

Naomi
I loved staying with Zephyr on the ranch for a few weeks! It was a unique and peaceful experience to spend time in nature, taking care of a few plants and playing with Zephyr each day. Naomi is kind, smart, generous and a great communicator, so sitting for her was a complete pleasure.

We had a great sit, looking after Rye. She is such a special girl. Theresa & Liam had only just moved into their home and made a huge effort to have everything ready for our arrival. We were very comfortable staying in their home, we had easy access to the train and local amenities. Rye is a very gentle and sensitive soul, she loves a cuddle and was really easy to look after.
