Alexandra was fantastic! We had a rather unique cat care situation where we have our semi feral kitten Freyja and our totally adjusted kitten Thor (they are bonded). Thor is a love bug that needs a lot of love and attention but Freyja is very skittish (we still can't pick her up). Freyja also occasionally pees on the bed and we explained the situation to Alexandra and had supplies (shower curtain cover, plastic sheets already on bed etc) and she was very understanding. There was no inappropriate peeing until the night before we returned home - all of us suspect that was Freyja's way of beginning to accept Alexandra and her partner as her "new people". They were wonderful about getting the duvet washed and ready for our bed before our return. The house was spotless and my tomato starts were thriving. We got some great cute pics of Thor blepping - we couldn't receive a lot of updates because we were out of cell range most of the time camping in the desert but we comunicated when we could. Also we ran out of cat food (we didn't plan for enough) and she was great about picking up more at Pet Club. We would definitely have Alexandra over again as well as her partner. It's clear they love kitties!

Sophia
Nori and Willow were so cute to take care of, they are very sweet and will want to be around you and play with you. They love their daily walks, full attention and playing with each other in the grass area. They are friendly with neighbors’s dogs and have their walking routine in the am. They are very cuddly too and Willow is a barker! Sophia’s communication is great and she is super kind and helpful! I got locked out the first night and communication with Sophia was excellent to problem solve an issue.

Paul
Paul is great to work with, I enjoyed our communication, he provided us with clear instructions and was attentive for any asks or questions
Ellie, Milo, Buttercup and Lola are awesome, they are all so cute and our girls loved spending time with them. Of course, Ellie always was the center of attention during our beach walks and everyone complimented her.
The location is unbeatable, right next to the beach and surrounded by coffee shops and restaurants. We spent a lot of time in the great pool,
Overall, it was a great experience

Athina
We were so pleased to be invited to housesit for Athina and her farm.
We went for a visit a month before the sit to learn about the care of her animals, sheep, goats, chickens, Streifchen the cat and the two ponies, a recent addition to the farm.
Athina sent us news and updates with wonderful photos leading up to our arrival a day before the sit and walked us through all the routines again. Everything was well organized and provided for.
We soon found a daily rhythm: first thing in the morning we let the ponies out of the stable onto their fenced paddock where they had fresh hay, while the sheep had their own breakfast of hay undisturbed. We greeted the five beautiful hens already busy laying eggs, and fed Streifchen the cat.
After our own breakfast, we spent time with the ponies, brushed them and let them onto the big meadow. In the evening we led them back to a clean stable and a bowl of apple, carrot and oats.
The sheep eagerly awaited their buckets of special feed or Kraftfutter. We tried to keep the billy goat, rather a bully, from chasing the shy sheep away and gobble it all up himself.
We loved watching the white ponies and the beautiful Cameroon sheep peacefully graze on the big meadow and the five white hens weave in and out unconcerned. It reminded us of our little farm in California.
The chickens were so much fun, they followed me everywhere or settled down around me when I sat outside on a rare sunny day, entertaining me with their constant chats and conversations.
It was nice to come in from a cold and rainy day to a warm kitchen and comfortable house.
We had lovely excursions through the rolling hills and villages of the Black Forest and found some great farm stores and markets. There is a walk to the Hühnersedelturm, a watchtower from where you have a great view over the Black Forest, even to the Swiss mountains on a clear day.
Thank you Athina for all the wonderful conversations on animal husbandry, health and the world around us, and for the lovely gifts you brought us from Greece.
Al the best to you and your family, the ponies, sheep, chickens and kitty.

Shirley
I applied for this sit and asked Shirley if my little dog Ruben would be able to come too and she said yes. So Ruben and I had a good time staying in Shirley's lovely large house (and garden) in Cheshire. We were there to look after Oscar the Jack Russell. Oscar is 14 but enjoys life. He was ok with young Ruben and there was no problem with the two of them being together - Oscar even let Ruben have his bed sometimes. Shirley agreed that I could come a couple of days before she actually went away and provided a couple of meals (and wine) for me. This is a beautiful part of England and although her house is very much in the countryside, the towns of Macclesfield and Congleton are nearby and it is a lovely drive over to Buxton too. Also several country houses within easy driving distance.

I had a great experience at Stacey’s place watching Cloud. Cloud is such a sweet, affectionate cat who will love attention. Apartment is in a cool neighborhood and centrally located. Thank you for everything!

Angela
It's a pleasure to write about my first sit experience with Angela, Tom and their adorable lab, Nigel. My experience, which was a little over 3 weeks, is exactly how this site can work at its possible best, and feel fortunate to have had their sit as my first experience with the site.

First, they have a lovely, organized, clean and well-appointed home. Their household is run much liker mine, so it was super-easy to quickly adapt to the few and expected needs of the sit (taking care of Nigel, watering plants, getting the mail, etc.). And although the household is well-kept, Tom and Angela are super laid-back and kind -- and were gracious, generous and fun to work with. They even gave me a quick tour of the town to point out places of interest, like gyms, the library, grocery stores and restaurants. They live in a nice section of the northern outskirts of Atlanta; the area is lovely with nice, friendly and helpful neighbors.

Their 10-year-old lab, Nigel, was nothing short of joy to take care of. He has tons of personality, but was surprisingly self-sufficient and easy to care for. He's one of the smartest dogs I've ever met, and I think I enjoyed his nightly routine of "hide the treat" even more than he did (as watching him hop like a rabbit - and as if a young pup - to his waiting space while I hid the treat always made me laugh). Nigel will look you right in the eye and softly bark in an attempt to communicate at specific times (e.g., at 8pm when it's time for his nightly treat), which shows he has a defined sense of time perception, unlike I've seen in any other dog, including my own. He will rarely bark, but when he does, he's conveying something important (or at least, important to him!). By the end of my stay, I loved Nigel as if he were my own pup, and hope to see him again.

I believe you will enjoy your sit with Angela, Tom and Nigel. I trust your experience will be as good as mine.
