kate
Kate was so warm, supportive, and easy to communicate with, and her sister Elsa was a ready and friendly resource. Kate's home is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos. The setting is perfect--surrounded by woods, a large lawn for games of fetch, the sun rising over the mountains in the distance, and only five to ten minutes from town, restaurants, and a supermarket. Tallulah and McGrupp are incredibly sweet, gentle, affectionate dogs who love to cuddle on the sofa and in bed and who together have a relationship as nuanced as human siblings. Tallulah is brilliant at fetch, is good on a leash, loves to walk up the road, and barks at dogs on TV. McGrupp is a 90-pound puppy who doesn't know how big he is. He loves attention, especially when Tallulah is getting any. He'll soon be neutered, and that should temper his energy a bit, as would some training. The dogs occupied themselves while I worked at the kitchen counter and piled into my lap when I worked sitting on the sofa. The sleeping arrangement was a bit challenging at first, but Kate was supportive and creative, and her solution worked. All in all, I'd say this is a great sit for dyed-in-the-wool dog lovers or couples who appreciate the quirks of these two breeds.

Jason
Jason, Hazy, and Bandit live in such a beautiful part of the city. There's tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and walking paths around, there's really no need to hop in the car and go elsewhere. We met with Jason and Hazy the night before to get keys and to meet Bandit. Jason and Hazy have such a cozy home and it has everything you'd need during your stay. While Bandit was shy during this first interaction, by the time we left this sit he was following us everywhere we went.

When we came back the next day, Jason and Hazy were already gone, Bandit came downstairs to greet us when we arrived with our dog Zeus. Bandit was such a pleasure to be around, and is such a well behaved and well mannered pup. We can see why Jason and Hazy love him so much. While our stay wasn't super long, we miss Bandit and would jump at any opportunity to hang out with him again.

This was a unique and great housesit on a beautiful 8th century property in Normandy. Close to Bayeux and the D Day beaches there is much to see and do in the area.
Sue and Steve are extremely welcoming and great fun ....the laughing doesn't stop!!
(We actually didn't want them to leave for their holiday!)
The cats are lovely cuddlers but that is all they require as they are very low maintenance being completely self sufficient. They will appear for a cuddle and some company but require nothing else!
The horses are beautiful and very gentle ..not a mean bone amongst them . Even the stallions are gentle giants. Once you have established a routine they are very easy and again low maintenance .
This is a sit where you need to be flexible and willing to muck in as its a working farm ,complete with mud and dirt and muck....but it is beautiful and peaceful and a little bit of paradise for those with the right attitude!
We loved our time here and would return at any time we were available.
Thanks Sue and Steve for sharing your wonderful stories and lifestyle.

Lisa
House sitting for Kevin was such a great time! Lisa and family made us feel immediately welcome. Lisa is very easy to communicate with and has given us a great instruction for the house before they left for holidays.

Their house was very tidy, clean and comfortable. Our kids really appreciated the kids bedroom and all toys from their own child. The house has a very special, peaceful location with stunning mountain views from the pool. A peaceful place to relax and enjoy the nature surrounded by forests. Glasshouse Mountains and Coloundra is a beautiful area for day trips and so many things to explore!

Kevin has a great temperament and is a very cuddly dog, as well. He has been good company to our Golden Retriever Samy and to us as a family, as he is also very good with kids!

We would highly recommend house sit for Lisa and family and happily return anytime!

Jane
We had a wonderful time housesitting for Jane and David in Henfield. The house was large and comfortable, and its situation just behind the High Street was very convenient. Henfield is a great small town, with everything you need, close to the coast and the South Downs. A beautiful spot.
And most of all, Sid. Sid is a great cat - a Cat with Character. As his Mom says, he bonds easily and loves to be close to you. At the same time, he’s independent - in and out through his cat flap, leaving you with little to do other than feed him. And boy, does he love his food!
We fell in love with Sid, who made the three week stay extra special. Jane and David were very warm and easy to communicate with. We feel we’ve made friends in Henfield.
A highly enjoyable sit.
