Melissa first impressed us with her communication skills as we began the house sitter selection process. She was consistently quick to respond to correspondence, as well as being on time for any scheduled video communication. During our video meeting, she was a good listener when we discussed the needs of our sit, and then she demonstrated her experience as a Zeewoi by telling us useful information about herself, even asking important questions we had not thought of. This video meeting left us feeling good about having Melissa at our house and caring for our dog. Then, when Melissa came to meet us and our dog at our house, we knew she was an absolute perfect sitter for our situation. We all know how dogs "read" people, and within a few minutes of standing in the living room and discussing the sit with Melissa, our dog laid on the floor and rested his head on her foot!! At that point, there was no doubt in our minds about having Melissa as a sitter, and during the week we were gone, she continued to instill confidence and put our minds at ease with daily texts and photos about our dog. Concise, yet fun and friendly texts with photos that showed our dog out for walks, or being playful with her on the couch. The house was left absolutely clean when she left, and even the bed sheets were freshly laundered and neatly folded, ready for our return. Thanks so much for all you did, Melissa! Those fortunate enough to get you as a sitter will appreciate your love of animals and your joy in providing this service for people!
Looking after Glory and Rosie was an absolute dream. Two beautiful and affectionate dogs. Glory is a little older and is full of love, she tries her best to keep up with Rosie with her little jumps around the yard. Rosie is full of energy and always wants to play (literally always haha) she has so much love to give and loves a cuddle on the bed at night. Two moods - sleepy & cuddly but ready to play at any moment. Susan was so lovely and accomodating, with high communication. She loves her dogs a lot. The house was clean and felt very homely. The home is in a good location close to the airport and 15mins away from all the main shops around Kona. I had an absolutely amazing time visiting the island. Absolutely stunning and would hands down come back again to pet sit Rosie and Glory. Thanks Susan!
