Monty The house and pet sit for Monty in Cranleigh was great fun. The house was extremely comfortable in a very clean home which was warm and organised. Detailed Information from Richard with regard to all aspects of the house, area, and their travel arrangements were Uber organised with all eventualities covered. A home of historic importance set in beautiful manicured grounds which was located semi rurally with the lively village of Cranleigh just a couple of miles away. Cranleigh is reported to be the largest village in England offering 3 major supermarkets M&S Cook and fabulous fish monger and butcher together with a twice weekly market. The village offers a wide range of independent shops for virtually everything. Monty’s itinerary was a good forest woodland romp in the mornings. The afternoon walk generally on the common with rolling hills and open field’s just next to the house. Montys youthful playful exuberance and friendly disposition highlights his affectionate nature who loves human contact. We adored him. Our hosts could not have been more prepared for our sit regarding the locality, booklet and maps on the area highlighting places for a good walk. Monty’s car enabled us to reach the hilly surrounding woodlands affording Monty time to run off his energy in safety. An adorable dog. An unforgettable and Highly Recommended sit.
This is an absolutely wonderful sit. First of all, Biscuit is one of the best dogs we’ve ever sat for. She’s super sweet, cuddly, smart, and obedient. Really, she’s wonderful, and so easy to love and take care of. Secondly, the house is supremely comfortable, and the neighborhood is great for walking and restaurants. We really enjoyed our sit here and you will too!
Silvia and her partner are wonderful hosts. They were thorough in their instructions on how to care for their space and their cats. Their flat is beautiful, comfortable and spotless. Communication was easy and helpful. But the real stars of the show are Nein and Luna. I have never met more unique cats! Their exceptional looks are just part of it; they are sweet, affectionate and funny. I enjoyed my stay with Nein and Luna!
House sit from heaven! We absolutely loved this house sit with Jasper. Nicola and Ian are such lovely, warm and funny people, and we felt immediately at ease when we first spoke to them. They are flexible and generous, and were able to accommodate us when we needed to arrive one day later than planned. This meant that the handover was with their neighbours instead, but we had plenty of useful and fun communication with everyone on whatsapp in the months and weeks leading up to the house sit. When we arrived, they had left us a couple of bottles of wine, some lovely biscuits, and other helpful things (they are incredibly organised and all the instructions were super easy to follow); we felt so welcome. Their house is beautiful and immaculate, but it’s also really cozy and just has a good overall ‘vibe’. We slept like babies in their comfortable guest bed and had many snuggly evenings in front of the fire in one of the lounges. We worked from home while we were there, and wifi was great. The village is very small and doesn’t have any shops/pubs, so car is a must (nearest town is about 3 miles away). There are several walking paths around the village, but they can get quite muddy in the winter time, so good wellies are recommended. Now to Jasper. He is such a sweet boy! We had never looked after a TT before, but we quickly bonded with him and felt really quite sad to leave him. He is so easy to look after, and he’s a real fun little character. He’s not exactly a morning dog and loves a lie-in! He will happily go for a longer walk, but is also totally ok with shorter ones. The garden + woodland is also so big, that you can stroll around there with Jasper. He needs regular grooming (washing of bottom half of his body after a walk, and brushing so he doesn’t get knots in his fur), so it’s good to factor this into your timings when you walk him. But he’s really patient and obliging, bless him, and responds perfectly to a little biscuit if needed. We spent a lovely afternoon with Nicola and Ian when they came back. They made us lunch and it was so nice to get to know them more. We’re already in talks about a second house sit. We can’t wait to return!
Ariel: Hope you had a great trip and returned to find Nimbus, Julep and your home were well taken care of in your absence. Both Nimbus and Julep were wonderful and easy to take care of. They had a minimum of two walks each day (they love to walk) including a short trip to Folly Beach. They were great in the car. They love playing with each other and love their stuffed toys. They cuddled with us on the couch. They ate well and slept all night. They were a joy and we loved taking care of them. We were familiar with the Charleston area, so your home was easy to locate and in a nice neighborhood. It worked out well arriving after you left and being able to leave prior to your return as you were coming in late. Nimbus and Julep greeted us at the front door and warmed up to us right away. Your home was clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was available to us except poop bags, but we made do. Great Wi-Fi and streaming services. Fantastic air conditioning that we definitely needed. Ariel gave us this great opportunity for our very first sit. We were nervous going in but had absolutely no issues. In my husband’s words it was a wonderful experience. We haven’t had dogs in two years, and it was great to enjoy yours. We felt communication was great via text. Any questions we had were answered quickly.
